I bet there was one heavy sleeper who slept through it all.
ok
Definitely. I was in a force 8 storm on a ferry in the North Sea. It was the best night's sleep I can ever recall in my life.
😂😂
I was on a cruise during a hurricane and I love every second of it.
I think it would be fun!
@@Sharpshooter99100not fun for the staff though😢 imagine the mess they gotta clean up.
sick my friend
Well your crazy
I’m jealous. It’s always been my dream
I would pay double to experience that
Lol
Same. Experienced earthquake weak though in rome in the hotel...added extra to trip experience. Was fun when hotel started to shake.
Max always lives life to the max
Sure you would.
@@kamelhaj6850 I love storms this would be so fun I would too
So these people got FREE added excitement, a FREE cruise, AND money towards another cruise. Wow! I wish I were on there too!
I’d go on there willingly to get that bonus
Why do I keep missing the opportunity to be on a cruise ship in a storm! 🤬🤬 I am jealous of these passengers!! I want to experience this!!
Damn, that was 40 dollars worth of vodka that fell on the floor.
hahahaha, yes it was....
Really thats so cheap. Oh right only poor people get upset for alcohol being destroyed.
Eureka MarUu That was a shot of Absolute. It's not even worth three bucks.
Bad Show sir, losing your Vodka like that!
Exaggerated Stories he was joking.
I mean it is a ship, and it is the ocean. haha Can't expect sunny skies all the time.
Trevor Cokley totally right
Trevor Cokley Your right, but the cruiser trust that the captain will keep them safe.
My second cruise it was pouring but the waves were calm
nope but somethign like a hurricane is well documented and it's path predicted.
Trevor Cokley obviously, but guest wait that all the time!!!
I remember this well. This mega storm was predicted almost a week before it actually came together and the captain sailed dead center into where it was to occur. Even people who say they love this kind of ride were seasick. The captain tried to claim that he was blindsided by the storm, but the Weather Channel called him out on this.
The cruise line didn't want to lose money diverting or cancelling the cruise
I can assure you that being on board a giant cruise ship like this would feel a lot safer than being out in that kind of storm in only a small fishing boat or dinghy.
That said, I have no idea why a cruise ship captain would knowingly chart a course straight through a hurricane storm, as there is absolutely no chance whatsoever of that being a pleasant experience for any paying passenger.
Except me. I'd pay extra for this kinda experience. What a thrilling ride.
Because the captain was Zapp Brannigan
😂😂😂 half of these people would survive off shore fishing 🎣
@@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298it's cheaper, you can take relocation cruises where they are moving the ship across the ocean, they hit weather for shure
Nah this would be so much fun.
Years ago I was on a Windjammer Barefoot Cruise with very rough seas. I found it a rush. Enjoyed every roll of the ship. Just like when I was on 45 ft yacht in 40 knot winds and 12 ft seas. Awesome sailing.
I agree with ya I love being out in the rough sea I've been a sea fisherman my whole life being raised in Myrtle Beach south Carolina and I had my sea legs since I was a young lad that would be gnarly and a radical experience that would never be forgotten
there's nothing like it mates
It's like being violently ill from poisoned food and then being offered 50% off your next purchase
wow.. full refund and 50% discount... i mean it was mother natures fault for the hurricane. i wished i was on board that ship
People on a cruise ship tend to forget they're on a ship...this is what can happen on a ship - the ocean is mighty!
It's funny how the vid has a Cruise ship add.
Why on earth don’t the ship owners fasten the furniture to the deck?
I don't think anyone would want to go on a cruise again after that happened
Im still going on cruises
+TheHaibao123 well were you on that ship ?
+Chris Medeiros You kidding? I would be stoked. I get a cool view of some big waves. I get all my money back. AND I get 50% off the next cruise? Sign me up any day.
+Richard Taylor and a chance of dying haha 50% does sound go tho
People act like this was some sort of tragedy lol people are getting soft. I'd be stoked if I was offered a 50% discount on my next cruise. I'm with the other guy, sign me up.
Paid extra for the "Fisherman Experience"
I'll take that deal.
great memories. I had fun in this storm.kinda pissed we came back early though, but the ride was sure fun.
jasonman1515 bruh 🤦🏽♀️ we all know you where not on that
Cookie Khalil How do you know if he was on it or not???
jasonman1515 do you think the toilets were dirty on that ship after that experience?
Humor Tangelo Full of vomit 😷
Cookie K we all know you that where means a place and were is the word you were supposed to use
Twice on two different cruises the captains choose to ho around a storm and the second time skipped one of our ports of call because of extreme weather. I have full confidence in Holland America.
Mary Therese McCool holland america has crashed once, and had a near hit as well. Plus a ship closed to a sickness. This is why disney is best.
What happens when The Perfect Storm meets Titanic?
WTF!?
I remember my 7 day cruise to bermuda, we were on the norwegian dawn and we were in a tropical storm , waves were pretty bad and winds as well. Forgot the name of the storm tho. 2015
I would want to go on a cruise with this kind of weather
Why-
@@Mister_Muffin1010 just seems like something I would like. Being in the navy 10 years now and experiencing this kind of weather on a warship was entertaining. I imagine it would be 10x better on a cruise.
@@UFC5fighter You're kind of like my type. I like standing in 30 to 60 miles of wind.
@@UFC5fighter I’m glad after four years you feel the same
Agreed
We were on that ship that almost went over outta New York we we were in our room on the 11th floor when everything was tossed around we could hear people screaming in our hall ways wanting too get off the norweigan escape it was a bad scene the day after too u could see broken glass everywhere on the ship
Norman Bosworth to two and too learn the difference
The most upsetting thing was loosing the vodka. RiP
No but that's besides the point. they are investigating someone messed up. let's not get carried away now
That l👀ks like the Greyhound bus of cruise ships.
I feel like staying in the main hall gives you a better chance to survive once it is capsized
That ship is Anthem of the seas
My life long dream of a cruise just changed into a train vacation....yikes!
Crazy thing is, I dream of this kind of cruise. Rough flights and big seas equals fun for me.
Why a full refund? the weather is not the company fault
Mon Mi Because the ship had to turn back around
Because a cruise ship is supposed to keep track of the weather and take an alternate route to avoid a storm. The dumbest thing they can do is head right into a storm. That could have turned into a tragedy.
who said you would see smooth seas and sunny skies for your entire cruise
I have never been on a cruise ship but if this happened the first thing I would do is quickly put everything on the floor that could fall instead of just watching everything fall and then sit down.
This is why you should check in with the weather man first
That’s me I’m the weather man
Yeah why did they go straight through a storm!!
Being on a cruise in a bad storm is elite. I absolutely loved my experience. The upper deck that was “inside” began to flood and we all had to continue to move down levels and is kids ventured up where we weren’t supposed to and it was so surreal. This… however. No thanks!
Because a cruise liner is responsible for Mother Nature! 😂
It happens when you go to sea. You can't control it or predict its behavior. Be glad the ship was build strong enough to take it. I spent 20 years of USN service on our great Aircraft Carriers. I have see 60 plus foot seas. I learned very quickly to respect it.
There is always one of you in the comments.. Isn't there?? 😂
Not true, this isn't a thing that just 'happens when you go to sea'. These storms are forcasted way ahead of time, and the ship should have never been where it was. This is not the norm.
@@bellidrael7457 I guess you have never been in a Typhoon evasion or spent any time in the South China Sea or in the IO.. The sea will always fool you. Our Metro folks at sea have all the amazing tools at their disposal and get it right much of the time but storms at sea have a habit of throwing a curve ball one in a while.
@@toastecmo think like 90% of us has never been to the south China sea
That thing people need to realize storms can just come, so part of hope is best and plan on what you going do to survive. You are entitled to thing they control the weather
Would have loved to be there, not with the family though!
Lot of loose items. This ship was not adequately prepared for this or any other storm. No grab rails in many areas.
At least I can get a chair by the pool
Oh, people from New Jersey should be able to handle such things.
With all the modern technological advances available on ships today, there should be no reason for a cruise ship to be in a storm risking life and limb.
Worrying about your arrival time is exactly why the Titanic didn't make it on it's maiden voyage.
What's more important - getting your passengers back home safely or sticking to a timeline?
If you dont like the ocean then maybe a cruise isnt for you.
They can have their discount. Not ever.
Why should "....up to 9 meter waves" be of any problem for a larger cruise ship....???
Maybe they should start with cruises on land so the ship doesn't move at all...!!!
thats cool af, way cooler than a normal trip. they got more than their moneys worth
This is cruise company's fault
I don't do cruises, and have zero interest in doing one, but if I was given a full refund for my cruise holiday and then offered a 50% discount on my next cruise, I'd definitely go ahead and book my next for the same time the following year 😂 it's like a glitch that has a potential to keep giving.
I've been in plenty of big storms in boats and ferries over the years, always have good fun in those situations, although everyone else seems to be puking their gut out 😂
ive been on rough seas i was a trawlerman for 5 years and we used to go out for days at a time sometimes a week in the same sea conditions i thought it was funny as hell also very relaxing when your shift is over so you go get a few hours sleep and you can here the very loud winds and waves crashing and the trawler rocking and tipping ect first few times its scary and you freak out but i was there for 5 years so i got used to it..i can still remember being told off for smoking in my cabin because i wasnt risking smoking outside lol so everyone filled a bottle with water and put there smokes out in them we all chilled with eachother seriously guys its a great experience yes its scary first time but it always ends up being so relaxing and cosy :)
Callum West nice story it's different
So is it safe or not ?
I want to do Atlantic crossing next year. Give me some advice please . Thank you
North Atlantic or South Atlantic ?
If they headed into that storm knowing full well that the storm was forecasted to be that bad. They should get sued. I am scheduled to go on this ship the first week of May and I will be checking the weather report. But it is the companies responsibility to do so.
The ship was seaworthy the whole time. Its not so bad if you stay in your cabin like you are supposed to. Try traveling to Antarctica.
Oh my days! Sueing culture arises again. The weather is uncontrollable, how do u know what weather reports the ships had. Ur listening to a news company???? And media! Why not sue god for the weather! Oh gosh'
Claire & Reeva Butler
So you wouldn't sue if you felt like a company put your life at risk?
J.N.J. 704 lives at risk by natural weather? I'm sure no insurance covers that?
They knew about the storm and still sailed into it
FUTURE CRUISE?!
I’m not taking a BATH after that 😂😂😂😂
Doesn’t that captain check the weather before departure? Or at least the first officer?
But what an idea to sail in the middle of a storm.😨
We had some waves 🌊and it was a little windy but my captain was doing A ok. I'm glad y'all were ok.
50 percent discount? They should have all been given another free cruise
How entitled can people be to want a refund and blame someone because of mother nature, no matter what we create we will never be able to control mother nature. People are so entitled
There is no real risk for the ship to be lost. However, these high cruise ships must be miserable steamers in bad weather. Also, do these cruise ships not know how to secure for sea?
Lol
I would have loved to be on that ship.
50% discount, refund? Thank you!
Pffft, that’s time to book a suite in a Northern European cruise. :)
Plus the fun of yelling at the ocean while sitting up front, like Lieutenant Dan!
50% discount??!! Should have been a free next cruise
Good thing I like my martinis shaken!
Shaken not stirred huh,is your last name Bond by chance?
I'm kidding 😀.
9m waves no problem ive done 13m on QE2
Darn, I'm sorry I missed this!🛳🌊🌬
Captain was drunk! And he likes give everyone on board to feel like him.
Some of that furniture had to end up in the ocean.
Wouldn't bother me a bit.im ok until I see water all over the floor.
Daily I batter a level 12 sea storm of two wheelers, three wheelers and maniac car drivers while going to office
This is less stressful
I would not book an Atlantic or Caribbean cruise during hurricane season. I don’t know why people do this and then be all Pikachu face when they encounter a storm at sea.
Check the weather
Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours.....
Edmund fitz
That's quantum class cruise ship
If I were on that ship I would have just been taking shots from a vodka bottle to get through it
Stay at sweet home next Time 🤗
Ik ben in Tunis so tornado had ik Noyt in bijbleven gezien 😮
0:27 Let's do the shuffle 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂👍👍👍👍
Full refund and future 50% discount? Lucky!
Pretty good deal for only 10 hours of trauma 😂
This is what adventure looks like
see to me this is a thrill, 10 hours of "hold onto your asses boys"
I was thinking going on a cruise ship one day but since storm and big waves can happen in thr Ocean I might have changed my mind about going on a cruise ship
But if you cancel it, all will be whining.
I’m the mini bottle of vodka flying off the side table
Future cruise with that company. I’ll pass. I’ll take a refund and a lawsuit for 1500 though Frank!
Was this a NCL ship?
All I can see is Lieutenant Dan on the outside of the ship having an argument with God.
When your on the ocean things can happen. Storms are a reality if you cant handle it then stay home.
Common sense says STAY OUT OF THE WATER WHEN A HURRICANE IS IN THE FORCAST! DUH..................
my last ship is a 20 years ago when i was 10 or 11yo i guess. at that time i just realize..sea and the ocean is not my thing anymore. no thank you, i would never want to go with the ship damn cruise anymore.
I would’ve over dosed on a bottle of Dramamine if I had been on ship
I am cencelling my cruise that I have planned for next month after watching this video
Cencelling
What is the name of this vessel?
This video needs a little music
Bad show sir, losing your vodka like that!
People in cruise ship remembered titanic movie
QM2 will do that well
Well at least they gave a full refund and 50% discount cause I mean if they didnt then I bet they would gotten a lawsuit from every single passenger
Refund? They should charge more for this riveting experience 😁
Yeah i remember a story from a teacher whos parents went on a cruise during Hurricane Sandy this was in Jersey by the way that must have been a wild ride. Lol still better and safer then staying in your house ships are designed to handle big waves crashing into them houses not so much. People and loose furniture on board also not so much lol
I'm that person to request the song Gloria over the inter com
Movie refrence
Their is NO WAY that I will ever go on a cruise..
Turbulence on a plane?
Which is why you’ll be bored stuck sitting in a retirement home when you’re older. Instead of taking risks
