Tip: spam x on first spurt until red face then breathe to full recovery. Spam x on 2nd spurt before getting red face then breathe for a few secs. You'll notice on that part Kai is slowing down. Then spam x until finish line.

I play the old harvest moon on SNES and as a kid, I just enjoyed the rake that flipped rows of dirt. That was it.
That was the whole game for me... eating some berries and flippin dirt... I didn't know there was this much depth to it.

When I played this game I also had the same reaction to Manna (I was like, "No way she's 40!"), and then also ended up with Elli, and I do seem to recall seeing those same options and also accidentally clicking to have her try it on and she did. I need to revisit this game.
Ah nostalgia. This is pretty much as on point as it gets when it comes to Harvest Moon.
I probably sunk in like 200 hours into Friends of Mineral Town and half the time I was wondering what the hell I was doing stalking Karen giving her stalks of bamboo.

Idk why but out of all of Rong Rong's videos, this is my favorite, which is weird because I have never played Harvest Moon.
I remember playing Friends of Mineral Town ages ago, this video is basically a collection of my memories of that game. Totally loved it. (should consider getting the HM for 3DS some time...)

Oh yeah!! I saw this on Newgrounds when it first came out!! I remember because I coincidentally had been playing Harvest Moon for the first time (specifically Back To Nature), and was surprised to see content for it! I'm so glad that this was the case because it allowed me to understand the hilarious references and jokes perfectly!
One of the best videos I ever saw here on youtube. That proves that cartoons doesn't have to be Disney-like to be good. Good drawings with little animation but lots of creativity and humor.

Mineral Town is the best Harvest Moon ever. Great music (PS1), great characters.
I had one of those multiple memory cards in 1 which I kept all my data on. I saved it the day before I was about to be married to Karen, then when I went back for the big day I found my memory card got corrupted. >_< I'm not afraid to admit: I cried over it, there was anguish in the soul.
...Then I pulled up my overalls and did it all again. Last I checked, Karen and I were married happily ever after with 1 toddler. Good times. They def need to release the soundtrack on Amazon someday

This is the only Harvest Moon I ever truly enjoyed, as it perfected the farming, had the best map in the series, and had the most interesting girls in the series. The later ones began to focus TOO much on the girls, and made the farming laughably easy. The previous ones were WAY too fast. BTN/FoMT will always be my favorite HM, and this video sums it up perfectly.
I still l think the blatant racism Rick had towards Kai is hilarious. I mean, sure, the guy was hitting on his little sister, but holding a meeting in the bar about whether he should be kicked out of town is just awful, man.
