      Nice one Ramy. One suggestion, seperate your aileron and elevator trims with each flap position.
      That was you can re trim in all flap conditions.

  • @pilotmax
    @pilotmax 4 ปีที่แล้ว +159

    Congratulations on your maiden flight ! That model looks and sounds great ! Just some small advise from a 787 first officer, avoid banking too much with such a plane. That's how you've lost your 787 and I've noticed some tight turns on this maiden flight. Remember that a wing can stall at any speed, only angle of attack matters. Safe flights ! ;)

    • @RamyRC
      @RamyRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      Thanks a lot for the advice :D

    • @tomatosoupwoo
      @tomatosoupwoo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Also, bank angle is very important if you bank to much your wings Will act as a tail fin. Just some advice

    • @RoestyIII
      @RoestyIII 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      A good pilot is always learning;) @PilotMax Great advice! Maybe I can extend this a little bit with a few thoughts about aircraft handling:
      How to handle a situation when you actually find yourself in a tight turn?
      As long as your wing is unloaded in a steep turn the aircraft is not going to stall (but you will lose a bit of altitude)
      Banking too much with pitching up is the deadly combination.
      Banking itself without pulling up can also solve a nose high attitude situation.
      When your extra careful on the pitch control in a tight turn, you will bring down your model safely on the narrowest rc runway
      you can find.
      Flying big and heavy selfbuild models on a maiden is a real challenge, great job @Ramy Rc
      Happy landings ;)

      First, I love, love, loved this video. I have been coming back to the links to see it.
      Hopefully something for consideration, I believe Ramy that you should practice wave offs more and sooner to improve your piloting skills and runway alignment. Great adjustment on the control surfaces in order to have balanced landings. I love the auto trim feature of your remote/airplane.
      Also, in real flight during approach and landing phases, it's flaps first to control decent and lower speed before lowering the landing gear (landing gear speed restrictions). It would make the flights look more realistic and prepare better for landing speeds and position.
      Congratulations on a great day and I cannot wait to see much more of this latest addition to your fleet.

    • @RoestyIII
      @RoestyIII 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Especially on a maiden in an Environment like this you will not risk a forced landing with empty batteries. My last maiden with a big model I also had 60% of power left after the flight, but you only know for sure, when the airplane is back on the ground. Still a sketchy landing 😅 but a great job to bring it down with no damage 👍

      He always forces the aircraft down instead of using throttle management to control altitude. I wouldn't give him a downvote for this, but guys that know how to fly can clearly see him doing this on every single flight. It's for this reason that he crashed his last plane. He flies like a noob. Great building skills though. The aircraft looks incredible.

    This was totally joyous to watch! It brought back the passion I had/have for WW2 planes and the years of my late teens when I crafted scale model WW2 planes from balsa wood and weighted them and launched them. I got into RC planes for a little bit and the joy and excitement after your first flight reminded me why I loved it so. I see myself ordering sheets of balsa wood very soon! Thank You!

      Doesn't make sense tho. You would need the edfs on power to use this. Instead of that you can just use esc braking.
      It would be good on turbines but in edfs it's senseless

    I freaking love watching these videos of you building these things. theyre fantastic. on the landing when you bounced, make sure you keep holding the nose off even if you bounce or you can come down too hard on the nose gear. holding the flare even in a bounce is super important. that flare was extremely solid up until that little hiccup at the end! Bravo man. Excellent video
