I know I've already said it, but I absolutely love how you summarize your reading journey and the books along the way. I have tried "booktube" before but it's never really been that interesting, or they spoil the entire plot. I've enjoyed every video so far, and you keep adding new books to my "Want to Read."

Ooh I love your pie charts at the beginning! That's so fun. I enjoyed Happy Place, but I think Beach Read is still my favorite Emily Henry. Enjoy Harry Potter!!! They are such fun books. My favorite is book 4.
You had wonderful reading month with a great deal of variety. I feel exactly the same way you do about romance books, and the only connection that is made is physical. I think that’s probably the reason that I don’t read a lot of romance is because the a relationship only on physical attraction to me, is just for lack of any other word annoying. I like deep connections and superficial connections lack that. Great video!! 💖🥳🎉
Exactly. I cannot care about a couple’s relationship if the main focus is on their physical attraction alone. It also felt like a very dependent, toxic relationship with The Song of Achilles. Maybe it would’ve gotten better, but that’s okay. I tried and moved on and found several that I loved! 💕📚 thanks for watching, Sonia!
I just purchased The Chamber of Secrete illustrated version from my daughter’s school book fair! I’ll probably read that one next month. Reading one every other month I think will be a great pace for me for the series! Can’t wait, because I’ve heard the same thing that most people like the second one even more than the first!
I already picked up The Chamber of Secrets, and I’m so excited to see what else happens to Harry and his friends! I’m sure I’m in for a treat. 💕📚 I hope you like the short story too! It’s one that will leave you with questions, but I loved that.
I’ve been trying to stay away from scrolling social media and read instead! Some were pretty fast reads, so that helps. Joining reading sprints that other BookTubers host also has helped me stay focused. Thanks so much for watching. 💕📚
Sounds like a great reading month! It's so funny because I absolutely see what you mean about Song of Achilles, but I also loved it? My boyfriend read it and just hated her writing. I read Circe this month and thought it was good - definitely way less on the romance than Song of Achilles.
So glad you loved Harry Potter!! And I really want to read Babel but I’m terrified 😳😆 But it does sound great and I’m so glad you loved that one too! Also, I love Emily Henry and all of her books have been 4-5 stars for me but Happy Place was probably my least favorite of hers so far, haha so funny yet again how people’s experiences can be so different! ❤️
I’ve seen Happy Place on a lot of favorites of 2023, but I think I’ve seen it equally on as many worst of 2023. 😆 I’ve never DNFed an Emily Henry book which I can’t say for a lot of romance authors, but it’s the only one of hers I’ve given a 5 star! Agreed-just goes to show there’s a book for everyone! I honestly can’t predict whether you’ll like Babel or not… I want to say you’ll enjoy it, but I need to get to know your tastes better! Give me another year of watching your videos and I may be able to tell. Lol 😆
@@Laura_Reads yeah it’s been a divided book for sure! I’m so glad you loved it though!! And yeah I think I would like Babel since I love dark academia and I enjoyed Yellowface by the same author but it does seem like a heavy, dense book so I don’t know, haha. That’s fair about needing to see more videos for my reading taste 😆
@@LibrariesandLattes I’ll say about Babel that once that plot point hits that flips everything on its head… holy cow, I couldn’t put it down. The audiobook is pretty good too! I listened to part of it on audiobook.
