I love hearing Jr tell stories. He puts the story together very well, doesn't immediately get to the punch, and is very funny! You can tell he's very intelligent. I also enjoy hearing about Sr's interactions with his son, you can tell he loved him
well luckily he stopped racing before he had another accident and another concussion. He sounds like he is fully recovered and hopefully no long term affects.
tomlundkwfl sadly there will be long term effects. One of the main reasons Jr has pledged his brain to science. Yes he retired not a moment too soon but two, three, or even five concussions earlier would have been better, especially knowing now what we didn’t know then. If you know what to look for in CTE and other effects of repeated concussions Jr already has a lot of it.
@@trintygamesandrobloxandmor128 I'd tend to agree with you but on Joe Rogan's podcast Jr said that his neurologist told him that he shouldn't have any long-term effects from the concussions.
Yes , I personally think hes very intelligent, because he has the drive and want to keep the history of the sport together..I think he has a great memory, which takes alot of intelligence...I'm grateful and so glad with the concussions hes had, that he didn't loose his memory bank...its also great to see he has so much respect for the people he brings on the show...Keep it Dale, great job
I could listen to these stories forever. I was 19 years old when Dale died. I’ve still got my #3 on my rear truck window. No matter what vehicle I own, I always have a #3 sticker on the back. Do it for Dale!
I didn’t really notice Your father until I watched a few certain races. I don’t remember the exact race, but I clearly remember him getting put in the very back of the pack for some reason. He then passed everyone in only a few laps while I watched in amazement. I have never seen anyone do that before. He instantly became the driver to watch and my favorite. It still causes a flood of emotions when I remember his passing. Sorry for your loss, it’s a Damn shame. He was bigger than life and lives on in so many peoples memories.
probably a black flag lol when the officials deem you did something intentionally, they put you in the back of the pack. it happens sometimes in all motorsports.
This is PURE PRICELESS TREASURED GOLD AND A BLESSING OF MEMORIES FOR A LIFETIME 💞🤗💞🙏🙏 Dale please continue to share these Priceless Stories that are not only personal to you but are HISTORY IN THE MAKING AND BEAUTIFUL BLESSINGS AND FUNNY 🤣🤣 PRICELESS 🤣🤣 THANKS FOR SHARING DALE💞🤗💞🙏🙏🙏
I love listening to Jr. Talk about his dad. Makes me feel like im standing around my dads truck bed talking to all his brothers and family laughing about cool stories. Thanks jr.!
Seeing this right now while my very loved female dog Dutchess is next to with the last few days of her 16 years of her life. On my Birthday on December 5th. 16 years ago she was my dog. I am loosing her now but by watching this and it has made me laugh out loud just lets me know that it will all be ok. every time i watch Dale I laugh out loud, I new if i would watch this would help heal. Thank You. Dale Earnhardt JR.
Jr, you probably hear this all the time, but growing up some of my best memories are about watching your dad race on Sundays (before it was "popular" to be a fan of the Intimidator! Lol)... I truly enjoy your podcast & your racing stories!!!
I use an app called "Beyond Podcaster Manager" and download Jrs podcast there. I listen on my phone. Or you can stream it here. Just tap "Dale Jr Download".
I love your show your a great guy Jr. and speaker.I'm glad to here these funny moment's you all share. It makes it easier to see you all laugh about the history and event's that took place with you and your dad and friend to so many. We will alway's remember Dale Sr. Loved him.
This is an awesome Download! My favorite yet. Love hearing Jr. tell those stories. I would sit and listen to hours of them if they could put a bunch of them together.
How is this channel and podcast not huge. I normally watch military stuff and this podcast is special. Its done up right, content is engaging. I wasn't even a nascar fan until i found this podcast. I can't even tell you when or if Jr. Retired. But this damn podcast has me coming back and back. Now i want to watch races and race myself!
Awesome to hear stories about the good days that they had with each other. Awesome Dale Jr. Thanks for giving us these stories about them days. Love you guy's talking about them days, letting the younger generation know about the famous guy that we all love so much and dearly Cherish still to this day. Glad to see everyone again and doing well. Thanks again for the great stories ever,we just love to hear them. Thank you. God bless you guy's, wishing everyone the best as always.
I got that #3 action chrome car! Dude, I was so jacked that you won that race I jumped on the phone as the rag dropped! I never get it on those deals and to get in on that is still a highlight, got the T-shirt, the whole deal. Love The Dirty Mo Radio!
Wow talk about baptism by fire, at Talladega no less. I have driven a Busch car at Talladega for DJRE and it does feel like you're going to fly right out of the track when you go into the turns wide open. Great description.
I've heard this story before from Dale JR but never this detailed. I think Richard really enjoyed this story. I find it hilarious that Dale told JR on the phone with Kerry standing next to him, don't tell Kerry about the hopping on the plane and flying to Talladega for his first laps around the place tomorrow morning !
Look what happened to Earnhardt. Because, he didn't lift. Smacked the wall head-on at Daytona International Speedway. That's pride and stupidity and it killed him. "Dale Knows Sterling Has A Fast Car".
Got to say Jr. I really enjoy y'alls show . since Sr left us I kind have lost interest in NASCAR somewhat but listening to the show brings a smile back to hear the things that racing brings
This is why I'm Glad Jr Retired when he did, I've been pulling for him since the Busch days he even raced where my family goes at MB Speedway, I would rather Jr never win a race again if it means he can Stay Healthy and most importantly around the Sport. He is my fav announcer next to Letarte.
Dale Sr had the ability to do things with a race car that other drivers thought were impossible to do. Mike Helton would later say that Dale Sr was the greatest race car driver in NASCAR history, and he was 100% correct.
I really mean this I could listen to these stories & enjoy them more than watching todays Nascar... If they talked for 3 hrs I would listen to all 3 hrs! Cause they are talking about what most of us all grew up with... Nascar needed to make changes after Sr's passing safety wise... With the Hans device & safer barriers etc they have done that... Yet it seems if you go back to 2001 they haven't gone 2 yrs in a row without some sort of rule change that has made the sport worse in my opinion.
I agree, but NASCAR has always been changing the rules since its inception. Now a days everything is just more polarising because of social media and all the TV coverage
Ya it sucks because nascar tries to make to much of a show because how popular the sport got. At its peak, maybe 95-2004 any year in there, was the best NASCAR ever got. And it kept skyrocketing in popularity and eventually became to much, nascar introduced to many things that changed it from what it was
Love your show. Big Earnhardt Fan, grew up With Mike Dillon, I have a G M Good Wrench hat signed by your father Dale Sr. & Richard Childress. Would like for you to have it. God bless.
I remember back in those days, it was actually problematic to lift with the restrictor plate motors and you'd see burnt pistons right after yellow flags and pit stops. The broadcasters would mention how part-throttle would cause burnt pistons, so it may not have been Sr. trying to fool Jr. into not lifting, he may not have wanted to destroy the motor.
Angus Gibson, several times Teresa has tried lawsuits that were thrown out due to lack of any validity. She even wanted to sue any NASCAR teams that used the same lettering font that the #3 car had. All that crap went nowhere because Dale Sr was NEVER the #3 cars owner. RCR owned them since 1976.
@Craig G I know Goodyear helped him with tires also because he always was their tester, even in 94 when Hoosier was faster in a lot of qualifying and big debate between the deaths and safety, Marcis never switched, always loyal and always wore the Goodyear hat
I've wanted to say this next thing for a long ass time. Nobody around here says Talla day ga. People who live here, work here, and see it on their local TV weather map say it Talla de ga. Rhymes with mega and nega not Sega. Years ago I worked at the track. I saw Eli Gold and using my company manners I explained to him how we say the name. I waited for an answer until I realized l must have gained the power of Invisibility. He never said or did anything to me or gave any sign that he could see and hear me two or three feet away. Lord, it still makes me feel insignificant. It was such simple tactic but his masterful performance raised it to an art form. What a guy!

Dale Jr.'s impression of his brother was great.
“Awww man come on!! Everybody gonna get a lap?! What the hell”

LMAO 😂
There will never be another Dale Earnhardt Sr . Man I miss seeing him race . What a great man and character he was !!
Jr, you are awesome. Thank you RC for making my fav driver who he is.
Jr has told this story a few times, never with as much detail though! One of my absolute favorite Dale Tales
they have great stories from the old days... what a time to race. i could watch them talk all day.
