Taxachussets is so shit, speaking as a current resident of this tyranical state. Between the no legal fireworks, no happy hour, no Kei-cars, ultra restricted 2A, and crazy high cost of living, why the hell anyone stays in this state is a mystery.
@Shawn_the_Protogen my town just became highest in taxes ,and people here say we're also the poorest town in Massachusetts! Makes sense taxes the poorest town the most to try to force them out... so the rich can move in.
MA taxes aren't that high. Education, Healthcare, median income, etc. Etc. are all top 5 in the nation. Tyrannical state? Dear lord. Leave, NH is right next door. They'd love to have you.
I have to, because my family and my apartment houses are here. I use to offer 1 bedrooms for 800$ with all utilities included, studios for 650-750, same deal. After these past few years I've had to raise all those rates 25%. This stae has always been sucky, but the past few years have made it far worse. Maybe I'll rent my shed to some "asylum seeking mothers and children", pathetic mayor of Boston.
I am a past Chairman of one of the two branches of the Libertarian Party in Massachusetts, and when I first heard about Massachusetts doing this a couple of weeks ago, I was absolutely taken aback by the Registry being so foolish as to copy Maine and Rhode Island. I will make every effort to attend the high noon meeting September 18. In fact, I just wrote it on my calendar to make absolutely sure I don't forget. If I can't, I will try to get a surrogate to go. Libertarians stand for all your freedoms, and that includes the freedom to drive what you want, with minimal interference from anyone. I have long had my own battle with the Registry, by their denying me a title to a car I purchased in Connecticut that was over 25 years old, for which Connecticut does not issue titles. They refuse to title it, or let me otherwise take legal ownership. I'm a car guy...now, maybe not into the same cars, but we're of the same track overall (I will admit, though, I am a bit jealous of that Toyota Century, from all I've read, they are an incredible machine), and we, as a hobby, need to stick together. In addition to appearing at the Executive Board meeting, I would strongly suggest reaching out to the Massachusetts Association of Auto Clubs, and setting their lobbyist to work. You can contact them here. massautoclubs.org/ Yes, it is elections this year, and the entire Great and General Court of the Commonwealth (commonly known as The Legislature) is up for re-election. I would further suggest the following: 1. Contact the Chairmen of the House and Senate Committees on Transportation, and explain your situation, and why this whole matter is illegal/unethical/ill-advised/just plain dumb. 2. I'm guessing you live on the South Shore? Find your Representatives in the General Court (House) and Senate. You can do this at www.mass.gov/legislature. Then...find out if they're running an opposed race or not. If they are, contact their opponents, and see if they're willing to take a stand to help. If both are, I would suggest you make a video advising others so they know who to vote for. Yes, icky politics nobody likes, but in this case, I believe it's a necessity if we want to get change, or if we want the incumbent to be encouraged to do the right thing. Similarly, if they're both opposed to allowing JDM/other imports be titled, make a video, and educate them. and the public. 3. When contacting the Committees, and your own Rep and Senator, I would suggest sending a real letter...yes, write, print, stamp and U.S. Mail. In today's environment, a real letter gets more attention. 4. Worse case, run yourself as a write-in campaign. Contact us at www.lpmass.org, and we'll be happy to help you! If you don't want to do a write-in, we'll be happy to help you get ready for 2026. Both LAMA (one half of the group, and the in control of the Statutory Party), and ULMA (the other half and nationally-recognized affiliate) will be happy to stand with you in this fight, and I will do whatever I have to do to make sure of it. I wish you well in your battle against The Crown, and remind you that you have many friends in this fight. In Liberty, Charlie Larkin Past Chairman, ULMA
Hi Charlie! We have reached out to the MAAC already. William Ellis the president was at the first MassDOT meeting to speak. He said he can help more with a lobbyist when the new session starts if it's still needed. I created a Facebook group for collecting info from people and we're over 850 members now. It's where we are finding more people with denials and issues or those that eeked by. For those without Facebook I also update a page on my site for this issue and where we're at. We are trying to keep track of all the state reps and senators we reached out to. Most are receptive to our plight and some have expressed they are willing to help put forward legislation to specifically allow greymarket these vehicles of any origin. We should also push for changing the law so the Registrar cannot on a whim for any reason at any time deny and revoke registrations as they deem fit. We have been calling and sending emails. I don't think anyone has sent a letter yet. Some other people have met the reps and spoke with them with a scheduled meeting. Unfortunately I don't think I want to end up in politics myself as I already have a fulfilling job so I wouldn't want to run but would support likeminded people.
@AnythingWheeled I'm an attorney but not licensed in MA. I did a quick Google search and you may be able to appeal the decision in Superior Court. It looks like General Law 30A provides the process. You have 30 days after the RMV's decision to file the petition. If you have a decision that talks about safety or non-compliance with NHTSA, those could be good cases to bring. You could argue other registered vehicles are far less safe. I am positive there is at least one Model T registered in MA. I have no idea what RMV means by non-compliance with NHTSA. The vehicles fully comply with NHTSA's 25 year rule. Just make sure you file within 30 days and the first case you file is the strongest.
they call these death traps. it pisses me off because the only person its dangerous to is the driver. they just dont want affordable transportation for people.
That's the problem with that type of safety regulation. All vehicles should be legal. Safety crash tests should be done by all means and it should be advertised that it's good or bad at being safe for x reasons but we should still be able to buy it if we don't need to care about that for whatever reason we want it.
@@fearisachoice they are death traps. No safety devices. There are many cars on the roads without modern technology like automatic brakes and lane keep exist that do not belong on the roads.
I live in Japan and these things are dangerous to other drivers as well lol.. they are death traps in america, they get bullied by heavy winds and japanese highest road speed is 80km which is under 50mph.. Not saying they should be banned but definitely not very "safe"
They do these things without our consent or approval. Just like other blue states. Communism doesn't follow any rules. When we vote red, those votes disappear.😮
Massachusetts is the worst, I have an older truck that is lifted. It will not allow me to get a sticker. Bureaucratic wanna control everything you do from your cars to your guns
@@Steve-sg4sm I think that's the trick, live in NH(the sticks) but if work is scarce and since you gotta drive to everything anyways just put up with a long commute to work in Ma. where work is a plenty but it's getting to be a crowded state.
I tried to pay to play, they denied my money so I'll just pay somewhere else that is better for me long term anyways lol Once it starts there's no real reason to come back.
Ma is the worst absolutely. Ive had my licence for 5 years. I drive a 2012 german car. I drive 3 miles each way to work my insurance is 450 a month. No tickets, im 30 years old and i have off street parking. Insurance is ultra regulated in massachusetts and only the big expensive insurance companies are allowed. It all comes down to politics. I grew up in boston and was a hard core liberal. I spent some time in texas and my head spin with what freedom of choice and liberty really meant. The staye of massachusetts regulates the middle class to be poor and depend on the government. Targeting legal drivers and letting the mopeds run rampant that causes insurance to go up. Massachusetts does not want car ownership
You own a german car thats why... my BRAND NEW Kia, brand new motorcycle, my old motorcycle and my old work truck are 220 a month total for insurance for all of them.
Where do you guys get this stuff? I have three cars registered and insured in mass, 2013, 2002, 2007 fully insured. 136.00 a month. Go shop around, you should qualify for low mileage discount, good driver etc. Are you the only driver? Shop around!
@sawyerkat6863 u can have 3 cars. If there all registered to you and your the only driver your insurance will cost as much as the most expensive car to insure. U can't drive 3 cars at once
@@jamesfoley2912 No, but I drive one, my wife drives the other and my kids drive the third. You really need to shop around, where do you live? Apply for low mileage discount, safe driver, higher deductible, drop collision or get limited collision, lower your liability. If you only drive six miles a day odds are you won't get in an accident, there is a lot you can do.
If they try to say it's not the right environment for this, ask them why it works well in NC which is legal and pretty much the same road set ups as your state
still legal down here in Connecticut, as far as I know. Get a PO box here and register away. Nobody will bat an eye in Mass if your rolling with a Connecticut plate (states are small here for those of you in large states). You will have to pay property tax in whatever town you get a PO box in.... and that can be kind of a buzz kill but still better than rolling on something like a Minnesota plate, which will attract attention.
All I need to register a car in Connecticut is a P.O. box? How about titles? I bought a 1955 Dodge from Woodstock, and the idiot RMV refuses to issue a title because I don't have excise tax or registration slips because it was bought out of an estate and had literally been off the road for decades. If I can get my car registered, or whatever they do in lieu of title (the car is nowhere near driveable), I'll go do it next week.
You do not want to do that in Massachusetts if you get pulled over and they can prove you reside in Massachusetts but you have a car with a Montana plate owned by a Montana llc it will be impounded and you will be hit with a criminal tax evasion charge. If you live in massachusetts and your car/trailer/boat etc is kept in massachusetts it has to be registered in massachusetts. Recent legislative changes have happened to stop people from saving on sales/excise taxes. It was a very common thing for people in Massachusetts with vacation properties in Maine, new Hampshire and Vermont to have a boat trailer rv atv etc registered out of state to save on taxes but now enforcement is quite vigorous. MA is probably the most strict state in the union when it comes to enforcing improper registration.
@@AnythingWheeled it is only a crime if you get caught like with everything. Although it is usually prudent to avoid potential conflict with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue whenever possible.
@@adamrou12345 Oh certainly. We would love to pay but the RMV refuses and have denied things they aren't even allegedly targeting. The RMV is hurting the DOR at the moment and maybe we should reach out and alert that the RMV is denying them revenue 🤑
@AnythingWheeled yeah Massachusetts has decided in the long term to electrify personal and public transportation for better or worse. They are picking the low hanging fruit for now. Methods that will continue to be used to ensure this transition will be safety and emissions regulations with the desired result being getting old cars off the road and new cars electrified. I would assume that in time the next method will be making it increasingly difficult to import used non evs into the commonwealth. I would bank on people being forced to deal in used petroleum powered cars requiring grandfathered Massachusetts registrations before I see our government embracing the spirit of the 25 year rule.
@@AnythingWheeled yesssss. There is some guy out here, has am RHD Honda Accord wagon. I think I've seen it in Linden NJ too. I think it's like a 1994 Honda Accord or it looked like that era. Sometimes I see the Nissans
Disgusting how things are going! This is the direction we should be going as far as vehicles go! Economical is where we should be going! Completely disgusting! I'm with you brother! 💙
The RMV in massachusetts, or should i say, taxachusetts , makes the Gestapo look like a bunch of wimps!! It is the worst run and governed system in the whole country!! Not too long ago, a certain state senator in mass had to go to the RMV and waited and waited and couldnt believe the way people were treated and was treated very bad himself!! When they found out who he was they still couldnt care less!! Supposedly things would change but they still haven't!!
Hey it's fair they treat everyone like crap equally 😆😆 Going back to when I found out about this to ring the bell to alert everyone; the Springfield RMV was excellent..you go in and out the way one expects a RMV to be. However the policy was in force and I was rejected anyways.
call your congressmen, Senators and State council, and call them out the politicians even have public contact information. Make a phone call. Find the people doing it and vote them out. FIGHT
I’m in CT. It’s oppressive by design. I don’t believe it is racism. You properly pointed out the absurdity of armed authority and wait times to no avail and no accountability to appeal to, while clearly similar known vehicles are registered. Ford model T? I believe a politician would win on a campaign of fixing DMV so that is clear they work for us. DMV would run efficiently if all DMV employees were required to conduct their personal DMV transactions from the public side of the counter with no privileges. FYI I’m white and have experienced the same problems.
Oh I'm not saying they're racist to me, I meant to vehicles of Japanese origin 😆 Someone has since reported the denial of a BMW 5 series from Japan a couple days after I did this video. It's definitely absurd where they come out and claim this to deny the vehicles. Nobody got hurt in anything. The state loves money and I know tons of people out of state registering their cars here in MA (this shocked me when I found out because who the hell wants to willingly register stuff here 😆) most of those vehicles never came into this state yet they got all the money for it from taxes and fees plus annual excise tax to a town. If a MA resident bought it it would come back and another round of fees and taxes would be paid again. Massachusetts loves money and here they are actively saying no. People will register these out of state and pay the money elsewhere so MA gets nothing and the vehicles will still be here.
New sub here and notification on. Haven’t found any “great” RMV’s in MA to help my situation in registering my US-spec Miata NA for months now. It was a broken car sat in a garage for years which I fixed running and driving but yet they are calling it an odometer red flag 🚩 I’m looking at more time and more paperwork…
Will be interesting in late Sept when I try to register my 97 Rover Mini in Springfield. Not a kei, not Japanese, 17 char vin, but imported from Japan w/ Japanese paperwork. If they deny me, I’ll have to register in CT (where I live), trailer it down for inspection replacing the tires beforehand etc which is a total pain.
Love the jdm market. First time i saw a k truck a few years ago i wanted one. I hope you get all your vehicles registered. It sounds like the Montana route is the way to go
It’s most definitely a JDM ban. they refused my buddys r32 gtr. he now resides at my home in NH. mass is a joke. I feel for you bud. I hope you can find a NH residential spot. Cause it no thing here. Worst thing they ask for is vin verification any shop or piggly wiggly can do.
Yep and that's what I was trying to say from the start but people latched onto just the kei trucks and vans once the RMV released a doc saying trucks and vans. We shall see how this goes now that it has progressed to having state representatives filing dockets/bills for us.
Massachusetts.. the only place I've met like 3 Democrats and all gun loving Americans but the govt of that dump says the people love being governed like they're in a ww2 german camp
I went to Springfield in June and was actually surprised how fast it was. It's how it should be but unfortunately not all branches perform the same. Braintree is horrible.
ive been getting sick of massachusetts. If I could get my family to move and healthcare and health insurance elsewhere for free, because i would do it in a heart beat
I grew up in taxachusetts and never realized how much it sucked till I went to other states. I now live in vt. I watched your vid and didn't understand all the abreviations so I have no idea what you are talking about.
Sorry this was the 7th update so I went over abbreviations and stuff. I realize now that people are finding the videos but not in the order I uploaded them so I am doing a quick recap of the situation from the start to explain some of that stuff and what got us to the current update.
I wonder if you could actually get them registered as a Kit Cars? They do have different rules and requirements for those. If you want someone to blame why it’s so hard to do, blame Big Auto. They are the ones that lobbied to get the laws to restrict us from getting cars from other countries.
Unelected officials did this. I didn't vote for this. Update 9 came out earlier. We have some legislators putting forward a bill to rectify this but in the meantime we're still getting the shaft because they can.
I live in MA and spent 20 years in the car biz. You are doing something wrong. I’ve seen all kinds of crazy Japanese imports get tags with no issues (RHD Skyline GT-R was my fave!). Heck, my neighbor has a little Suzuki mini pickup with proper tags.
This just started in June, It's not just me. The RMV released the document saying what's not allowed end of June. Some vehicles are still slipping by the clerks here and there whether they don't care or know. In the 7.5 update video right after this I show someone's denial of a Japanese import 1997 BMW 5 series. The common denominator here is Japanese papers. Looking to see if a European import from Europe is denied from an owner in the next couple weeks. We also have a report of an existing MA titled vehicle denied new registration to someone that just bought it.
The DMV RMV Whatever was created When most households didn’t own a vehicle, now most households own multiple vehicles and collectors own dozens if not hundreds of vehicles. It just comes down to them, not wanting to do their job.
That is straight up tax evasion in the laws of massachusetts, and it will also allow your insurance to deny a claim. If you are a Massachusetts resident you have to register in Massachusetts. The only way around it would be to find a friend that is not a Massachusetts resident have them set up a Montana LLC that you are not connected to, give car and title to them and have them let you borrow it.
@@adamrou12345 I haven't done it yet I looked into it. With the new bill stuff coming to unban stuff it might be moot for me. I was speaking with Hagerty they are familiar with this all the time and they will write you an appropriate policy to do Montana. Montana also does not share LLC information so they wouldn't know who's LLC is it anyways
I'm not going to write your speech for you but I do want to be certain you're aware of some important points. The Federal government sets safety standards and the Federal government allows antique automobiles to me imported. Period. The State has a process for allowing antique automobiles onto the public roads. For three years I drove a 1926 Ford T Speedster from my home in Manchester, NH to antique auto shows on Bennington and Stowe Vermont not to mention various smaller shows that were local to me. Those cars don't have wheel service brakes. Motorcycles aren't exactly the most crash worthy vehicles on the road, I should know I've done my time after wrecking two of those. I don't hear about motorcycles being banned from the public roads. Although for street cred having an Antique and Handicapped plate on your bike is way cool. Your local representative and your State Senators should have local offices in your state so that they can interact with the public, that's we the people from whom all power to govern flows.
Yep I'm aware how it works. This just started happening out of the blue and I've been documenting the process and changes since it was discovered. Update 7.5 right after this we found a BMW 5 series denied because it was from Japan. The common denominator seems to be Japanese import at the moment. Currently waiting for a guy with a European import to report back in the next couple weeks.
Why not looking into registering them in Montana. You can be a non resident not living in the state, no safety inspection, and no emissions check ever.
It's funny how this is so similar in how the state of Ma. won't let someone buy some land and just build a (camp, tiny house, yurt etc, etc) on it to live. Nope you gotta have all these building codes with a very expensive Title V septic system if no sewer is available. It's all a racket. On a more related note I really wanna get a certain European two stroke enduro dirt bike that comes into this country with what's considered a street title. Some states it can be registered and to this day Ma. isn't a hassle or so I believe but if the RMV catches wind of too many of these on the road then I guess that party will be over. Same thing with my 50cc Honda Ruckus scooter. When I bought it all you needed was a moped sticker but now it's needs a special "limited use" registration/plate with insurance. It's all a racket.
Move to Florida Last time I was at the tax collector's office (DMV in other states) I was given a number instantly. My wait time was about 6 minutes. My county is the third fastest growing in the US so you expect them to be way backed up.
Crossing my fingers for you and other owners of imported vehicles. All of those vehicles are cool. Would LOVE for the US market to have them as well. It does seem very racist for them to just say no to anything imported.
You know if you had your own company, these can be listed as corporate vehicles and don't get treated the same as if it were a civilian licensed vehicle. Mass sucks in general for stuff.. I refuse to live in Mass, coming from being a NH resident.
I asked about that they said no. This is new ban stuff they started in June and we're all still trying to figure out what they were banning. They are allegedly releasing a compromise plan today
Just register it with that montana reg company. I did it. They do a lot for your business with them. They make an llc, register your car in montana and for that you get a "registered agent" which keeps track of any mail you get related to your registration. You just contact them with your info, give them money, and they take care of everything. Pretty simple. Takes like a month maybe slightly longer. But if your short on other options it's totally worth it
Oh yes that's where I'm headed. I had no urgency before but with my mess of cars arriving since I went wild in Japan auctions this is a problem now. Once you Montana there's no coming back. I own regular cars too might as well move those.
be aware most states have requirements that your vehicles must be registered where you reside, so a cop might notice your out of state car in the state for months issues a citation and you can try to convince a judge not very common ig you live in mas for yrs and your cars registered in Montana states want there sales taxes, license fees and you might run into insurance trouble . in florid to get homestead or a job your required to have fl license and registration and no fault ins which is really not no fault . some jurisdictions quickly catch out of state cars driven by residents some are not as strict but still has the law and fines . motorhome owners in GA and several other states got cited sales tax on hundreds of thousand to million dollar motor homes is lot of revenue . as for the japan and korea cars if customs allow them in without restrictions states should register them .

But paying upwards of $11k for them seems a bit high to me then still have to do maintenance and in other cases extensive bodywork and paint, etc
Lets be real. Prices for new pickup trucks from all oem's are ridiculous and used ones aren't much better. 10k and under for a small 4x4 pickup with like 30-40 thousand miles on the odometer is a steal and dealers must be pissed at not being able to force people to purchase their 50k-80k pickups off their dealer lots. Massachusetts doesn't care two chits about your safety. Everyone who lives there knows it. Find out how much the dealers are paying the thieves and traitors on beacon hill and you will have your answer. Some states have banned the trucks themselves for safety reasons and allow the the van variant of the truck. (Same thing just with a shell on the back and seats)
@@AnythingWheeled why allow the van variant that holds more passengers if the basic body is the same and hence has the same safety concerns? So the truck is unsafe (so banning it protects dealer new and used truck sales) but the van variant is safe?

When you said you can register a vintage mini-cooper you got my attention. Come on MA you can register a smart car and golf carts to some degree makes this seem ridiculous.... Keep up the fight and reture that Street Sign to Wollaston.... (Just Kidding of Course)
We're waiting for some people to attempt to register an imported car from Europe to see what happens. We just got news that a 17 digit VIN BMW 5 series from Japan is rejected. and ay these are vintage signs :)
Its called they hate the success of Japan and they will put any Anti-Japanese sentiment because Toyota and other Japanese brands refuse to go full electric.
They do not have a problem with Honda's Toyota's Nissan or any other brand of cars it is the MODELS OF CARS that are the problem the fact that this country has saftey standards and the little tiny imported cars you have just are not safe on the roads here. They may be allowed in japan or other countries but they are not allowed here. I had a friend buy one of the little trucks and it was barely bigger than my landscaping golfcart I use around the farm. They would not allow him to register it either. It is just sitting collecting rust and dust in his garage. There is hope for you though you could move to Alaska and register the tiny vehicles for off road use and drive them on your own land and off road.
What about the full size cars they have also denied? Why are the classic tiny Minis ok? Safety or not there are more unsafe vehicles floating around on the road than any of these small cars.
@@AnythingWheeled Just might check it out. Watched a video on a passenger van - think Toyota - 1996 - Right side drive - wicket low milage - good shape - something off with the moonroof (stuck) - little bump in the rear bumper. Ran perfect. I said to myself. I would love to see a Japanese Large Van come to America, but I fear too many electronics. That smaller red car at the end looked really great. Metro Westerner.
Believe it or not, the biggest reason this guy is being rejected is because these RMV "workers" are just plain too lazy to want to do this amount of work. It's true. I was in not long ago, and because my paperwork was extensive, they made up a totally fictitious reason as to why they "couldn't" process it. I could go deeper into the specifics, but I'm sure TH-cam would end up deleting my comment, but if you know, you know. 😉
I don't know what the reason is, I wouldn't assume it to be a race thing... But also, if dumb policy can have a dumb solution by playing the race card then I would play their game to get it through.
I didn't mean racist to me I meant to the vehicle's country of origin. So far we know of two BMWs with a full 17 digit vin denied from Japan with Japanese export papers. I am waiting on someone with a European import to see what happens to figure out if we can play the race card.
@@AnythingWheeled That does make a lot more sense. A European only product is still familiar as being western, but an East Asian product is seen as foreign and strange.

I own some 80’s era Toyotas registered here in MASS. After watching your video, it’s not clear to me exactly what you are trying to do. Are you trying to title and register these imported cars? Just to own them or to resell them? I’m not surprised you are getting the runaround from the registry knowing MASS. It’s not like anyone there will take responsibility and try to solve a problem if it’s not in the routine. Trying to deal with cars they don’t understand is way out of their lane.
They are fresh greymarket imports I brought in to register and drive around. One of them is a carrier truck to help me get more weird things on port days since my trailer was too cumbersome. When I first reported this in the earlier videos of this series I go over the RMV eventually coming out with what they're banning from June/July. It's ok there's always way around stuff I am just happy they made my decision for me now.
Why not “sell” them to a NH resident and get them titled in NH then sell them with NH titles? I have a UAZ, one of a dozen in the country and inspections are… interesting, but titling and registration is ez. I also have a Sambar and Prado titled through NH.
It's easier to not have to involve someone else if you're strictly a masshole. I've got my way around it now that I'm pushed to do so but for everyone else I'm still in this to help advocate for being able to register our vehicles at home.

You should come over to California. We're not bad at all, we're all living the dream... >.>
Time to move out of the Commonwealth!!!!
People's Republic of Massachusetts.
You can contact them here. massautoclubs.org/
Yes, it is elections this year, and the entire Great and General Court of the Commonwealth (commonly known as The Legislature) is up for re-election. I would further suggest the following:
In Liberty,
Charlie Larkin
Past Chairman, ULMA
I live in Japan and these things are dangerous to other drivers as well lol.. they are death traps in america, they get bullied by heavy winds and japanese highest road speed is
80km which is under 50mph..
Not saying they should be banned but definitely not very "safe"

@Gothmaugh where do u live and how old are you? I live in boston on the dorchester southie line.
Property Tax or did you mean excise tax, or both?? Maybe CT charges a tax based on the vehicles asseed value??
Open a Montana LLC company , my friend has already done it , no inspections , permanent plates , very easy to do !!!
There are so many out of state plates that are here permanently around where I live I find it hard to believe they enforce it.
I would bank on people being forced to deal in used petroleum powered cars requiring grandfathered Massachusetts registrations before I see our government embracing the spirit of the 25 year rule.

call your congressmen, Senators and State council, and call them out the politicians even have public contact information.
Oh I'm not saying they're racist to me, I meant to vehicles of Japanese origin 😆
Someone has since reported the denial of a BMW 5 series from Japan a couple days after I did this video.
I wonder if you could actually get them registered as a Kit Cars? They do have different rules and requirements for those. If you want someone to blame why it’s so hard to do, blame Big Auto. They are the ones that lobbied to get the laws to restrict us from getting cars from other countries.

Yep they made my decision for me with this denial. Once you Montana you don't go back. Even normal cars.

That's where most people are going but I'd still want to push back on this just for the cause.
It's the government, they know what's best for you right?
Screw Mass just register it in NH.
Move to Florida Last time I was at the tax collector's office (DMV in other states) I was given a number instantly. My wait time was about 6 minutes. My county is the third fastest growing in the US so you expect them to be way backed up.

We shall see what comes of this in the next month or something!
Dang total BS. I hope you get help in Sept.

Some states have banned the trucks themselves for safety reasons and allow the the van variant of the truck. (Same thing just with a shell on the back and seats)

Wow - like that small van. Interesting.
I have a few videos on the van if you wanna check it out.
Get those fuel sipping cars off the roads !
And they were polite and helpful too
Believe it or not, the biggest reason this guy is being rejected is because these RMV "workers" are just plain too lazy to want to do this amount of work. It's true. I was in not long ago, and because my paperwork was extensive, they made up a totally fictitious reason as to why they "couldn't" process it. I could go deeper into the specifics, but I'm sure TH-cam would end up deleting my comment, but if you know, you know. 😉
Makes sense. They did change policy to ban the trucks and vans but out of laziness the clerk and supervisor deny the rest
How about they ban guns and motorcycles first, then go after “ unsafe” cars…
I’m glad this popped up in my feed, MA resident here I will be there at Park Plaza can you give me more info on where to go exactly? I don’t even own one but I want to this is nonsense.
You know the building where the 7-11 and Dunkin is with the PF Chang's around the corner? Across from the W hotel. Once inside go upstairs one floor and it'll be the glass board room right by the top of the stairs and round info desk.
It's September 18 at 12pm
@@AnythingWheeled I will be there
@@Kal47 excellent 👌
Land of the free!!
What a joke
Only reason ive decided to not get an import till i leave this state
It's a shame they used to be friendly, maybe soon they will be forced so again. House bill filed to make the RMV allow them. malegislature.gov/Bills/193/HD5357
What can you honestly expect from a place that they call Massachusetts even Massachusetts cannot decide if it’s a commonwealth or a state paperwork as Commonwealth of Massachusetts then how do you have state police Commonwealth in states have two different sets of guidelines for everything?
Just like gun laws in Massachusetts. It's almost like nobody cares. Oh well, ho hum, what can we do. Well, if more people actually cared about more than netflix, maybe change could be enacted.
I waited 3 hours Tuesday at the REVERE office.
For regular stuff or grey market? Did you at least get your plates?
MA is wild..with this new gun law...and why do they need armed guards at the RMV lol. I live down here in west bridgewater. There is a shop in south easton..guy has r33's and r32s all the time.
Take your money to another state. The Commonwealth is TOXIC😮
Can't flee physically at the moment but can and have fled monetarily
How do you like your forward lift?
I've had it since 2016 I think I don't use it regularly like a real shop but it works well for my use. I've only had the lock release cable get loose or something twice and I had to adjust it. Once a month or so ago and other time maybe last year.
Bro, I drive my mini Jeep daily in front of bpd, all I have is a plate that says “experimental”
Mini Jeep like the one you can buy at tractor supply??
@@AnythingWheeled yup, $1800 from Amazon. I plan to convert it to butane, since the lean adjustment is generous on the zongshim engine.
All the Peter Griffin’s at the RMV
😂 🤣
I live in mass, an your trying to get this stuff done in the worst state in the country!
I just wanna play with my crap 😆 as it's always been for years. It's ok I tried. I'll just be getting plates from somewhere else.
Moved out of taxachussetts in 1984 don't miss one thing about it ,its controlled by democrats and you still need to grease the wheel just like always 😉 like the other taxachussetts called California 😊
New Hampshire
ALL THEM PISTOL CLIPS HE AINT NEVER SHOT SHIT!!!!!! #FUTUREVOICE 🙉🙉🙉🙉🙉! Braintree was light! Come to Springfield it’s wild Krazy! Here
“All the weird french cars …”
We apologize…
No apologies. That's why I want them 😂
I own some 80’s era Toyotas registered here in MASS.
Thats what you get living in communist state you wouldn't have that issue here 😊
I am in NY, can I buy one of your cars?
If it's one of the ones for sale. What are you looking at?
Just one more reason why I moved out of the communist state of Massachusetts, when I registered here in Arizona, in and out in 10 minutes
I have a guy in New Hampshire who can get on the road
Why not “sell” them to a NH resident and get them titled in NH then sell them with NH titles? I have a UAZ, one of a dozen in the country and inspections are… interesting, but titling and registration is ez. I also have a Sambar and Prado titled through NH.
It's easier to not have to involve someone else if you're strictly a masshole. I've got my way around it now that I'm pushed to do so but for everyone else I'm still in this to help advocate for being able to register our vehicles at home.
I will buy an "american" parts car and use the vin for the JDM equivalent. Now the jimny is a geo tracker.
Isn't that iffy with Insurance
Meanwhile, the boys in Oakland…
I can register every single one of your vehicles in Washington State and drive them across country with my Washington plates. 🤣
I hate Trump, but this is the kind of shit that gets him votes.
Try greenfield ma. There are quite a few k trucks around here
Yes there was no issue before so the vehicles were around. The RMV started the ban in June
@@AnythingWheeled WTF
@@robertsokoloski3820 this video is the 7th update since I started this series of updates. You can see more info in the video description things we as a community have come together and done, news articles, etc.
@@AnythingWheeled thanks
If you cant some road legal you can always start a series of hill climb and drift cars and nust ply with them on the track
Why do you need to be a jerk and just follow the law in the state you live in?
Try the Brockton DMV
Nah I'm done playing RMV clerk roulette. I got plates elsewhere
