I live in Kennesaw but I claim Carowinds as my home park lol. Make Magic Mountain a priority. The diversity and quality of the lineup here is rivaled only by Cedar Point. Don't skip Full Throttle and ride Goliath in the left front seat for the best sideways hang time you'll ever find.
I live under an hour away from magic mountain but could never go, hopefully I can get a season pass this summer and go on x2, also I love the song wake up behind the as the background music
@@CasualLemmonJuice having experienced it dueling and not dueling, I can confidently say dueling doesn’t enhance the ride anywhere near as much as people say it does
@@CasualLemmonJuice I didn’t mean to take it too seriously. If you’ve experienced both and you think dueling enhances it significantly, I’m cool with that.
This is kind of an obvious point but nobody seems to make it. Twisted Colossus is unique from other small scale RMCs because it has a second lift hill mid- ride where others hit a mid course brake run. The second half is more like that of a large-scale RMC. So it rides way above its stats. And then yes, it can duel too.
One thing that makes this park so epic, aside from the vast coaster collection, you have several rides like scream, viper, ninja, Batman and RR that hardly ever get long lines…
I got to ride Magic Flyer when I was younger. Think the name was different but can't remember. The only other kid coaster at the time was Goliath Jr which is now known as Canyon Blaster. Or was Magic Flyer Goliath Jr? IDk. 1. Twisted (Just add a block section at the beggining of the 2nd lift please.) 2. X2 (Is everybody in?) 3. Tatsu (Open the 2nd station on busy days.) 4. Wonder Woman (haven't rode it yet but rode Jersey Devil) 5. Full Throttle (Is like Watching Avengers Endgame and the credits roll right before the final fight scene.) 6. Riddler (Swap the trains to the surf trains and this will become most people's top 5.) 7. Apocalypse (Don't blink, you will miss about 5 elements.) 8. WCR ( Could be OTSR instead of comfort collars. Just saying.) 9. Superman (I rode the original X before I got on this. Couldn't believe how scared of Superman I was after I finally rode it. 10. Viper (If this coaster does get the axe, They better not put in a basic coaster. A B&M Giga or a massive Intamin launch like Velocicoaster but taller and faster are acceptable in my book. 11. Goliath (Yes, I know it's a bad Hyper but I have fun on it. Except the midcourse of course) 12. Scream (fun but pretty basic 13. Batman (Packs a punch, sure, but I think is overated and is at most Six Flags parks. Custom layouts rank higher for me.) 14. Ninja (My first non-kiddie coaster. Always have a place in my heart.) 15. Revolution (Schwarzkopf not sure how to spell it was definatley ahead of his time.) 16. Goldrusher (First time got on just fine. Went back in line immediately, too short.) 17. Roadrunner (Meep Meep) 18. Canyonblaster (That helix though) 19. Speedy (2nd best themed coaster not including the lines. Apocalypse #1.) 20. Magic Flyer (Gotta start somewhere)
After Cedar Point, Kings Island and SFGA N.J.: SFMM is my next favourite amusement park I've visited, making it my 4th favourite I've visited. Of all the coasters I've ridden at SFMM during the only time I was there in Nov. 2019: 14: Road Runner Express; 13: Gold Rusher; 12: Ninja; 11: Revolution; 10: Goliath; 9: Batman; 8: Apocalypse; 7: Scream; 6: Full Throttle; 5: Viper; 4: Tatsu; 3: Riddler's Revenge; 2: X2; 1: Twisted Colossus. When I visited Superman was down, West Coast racers and WW Flight of Courage wasn't open yet, and they wouldn't let me ride any coaster smaller than Roadrunner Express, even though I'm not a big person. I'm guessing I'd like Superman, West Coast Racers and Wonder Woman Flight of Courage better than Viper, but not as much as X2 or T.C. Thanks for posting!
The loop on Tatsu is amazing. You spend the whole ride with the weight of your body pressed up against the chest restraints but that loop suddenly transfers the weight to your back like you’re lying down face up, before you shift back onto your chest against. It’s a crazy feeling.
I've been going to Magic Mountain for 25 years. I speak with authority and hope with nostalgia that Viper will never be removed: it's the heart of the park.
I live in the PNW but am originally from LA and still consider this my home park. I agree with most of the rankings on this list! Especially the top 3. Superman is the only one I really don't agree with. I just find it kinda dull. But totally understand why other folks enjoy it and I'm glad it's there for folks who do!
Just went for two days this week. I got on Riddler and Golaith for the first time and both i actually thought were alittle underrated. I actually got alittle airtime on Golaith on each ride but yeah that brake run is a killer but I think its a great ride for younger riders, its my 5 year olds 2nd favorite behind TC. Being that Great Adventure is my home park, i thought Riddler was much better than Green Lantern. Man I thought Apocalypse was VERY rough and its my 3rd least favorite at the park. I didnt like it last year and thought i was too rough on it and after riding it again this year in the front row, it actually shot down my rankings. I had some great rides on Full Throttle my past visit, it beat Tatsu as #3 for me.
I expect Six Flags Magic Mountain to be the greatest amusement park in the country. It looks like my type, and I can't wait to go next year(not confirmed BTW).
I honestly don't know how I would rank these coasters. With the exception of Green Lantern: First Flight being at the bottom of my list, I didn't experience a bad ride on any of the coasters I rode. I can rank every coaster at Cedar Point from worst to best, but until I get back there this summer, I don't even know which one is my favorite.
X2 was incredibly intense and didn’t disappoint. Tatsu was really cool and so was Wonder Woman. Also enjoyed Batman and Twisted Colossus. Gotta mention West Coast Racers too what a fun coaster!
I honestly think scream should’ve been higher on the ranking than viper. The ride is just very fun overall and you don’t need to be worried about hitting your head on the bar unlike viper.
There’s companies/music or animation studios that take the knee when faced with bankruptcy… then there’s the legendary ones that go all out and do crazy last projects like designing X2
I’m putting twisted colossus at the top of my list every time. For me X-2 is great and has a very unique intense drop. Going uphill backwards and dropping facedown is awesome but for me there nothing else to the coaster after the initial drop. With Twisted Colossus it’s intense fun throughout the entire run. Dueling with another train or not doesn’t matter for me I love that you get to experience the run twice. I especially love riding Colossus in the very back
Last time I was there was back in the 80s. Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park. A classic look at Magic Mountain during the late 70s. It was around that time that a woman was killed while riding the Colossus. She had fell out because of her weight.
My rankings are very similar to yours except I rank apocalypse lower cuz the airtime barely lifts you out of your seat and I rank full throttle higher above wwfoc because I don't mind the length, it already does so much within a short timespan
@@MrMywildside luckily/unfortunately I never experienced that one. It was closed along with free fall my first few visits and was removed before I got a chance to ride
I think if they would just get the onboard audio working again on X2, that would solidify it for me as number one in the park. But it’s a very intense experience regardless.
My ranking 1. Tatsu (phenomenal flying coaster and my current #1 coaster) 2. Twisted Colossus (Solid RMC, great with a duel) 3. X2 (Crazy intense, very rough) 4. Wonder Woman (Fun, smooth and whippy. Good RMC) 5. Full Throttle (Short but sweet. Amazing forces throughout) 6. West Coast Racers (Great ride, deceptively strong air time) 7. Apocalypse (Great woody, could be more forceful) 8. Riddlers Revenge (One of B&M's best layouts but stand up is meh) 9. Batman (Forceful Invert but the worst of the 3 in Cali) 10. Scream (Underrated. No rattle and a decent layout) 11. Revolution (Underrated as well. Good terrain interaction, forceful elements given its age) 12. Ninja (Rode this a week ago and was pleasantly surprised. Surprisingly intense) 13. Goliath (OK hyper. Lotta speed, shallow drops) 14. Superman (Fun, doesn't do enough) 15. Viper (layout good, headbang bad) 16. Gold Rusher (Fun family coaster. Good 2nd half) The other 4 I have not ridden so idk. All really solid rides tho I don't think any of them are bad tbh
@@CoasterDash yeah I don't have too many credits yet so I don't have much to compare Tatsu to haha. Hoping to get around to some of the east coast parks this year to see how things change. Great video btw.
Hey, I appreciate your perspective. I would rank Superman lower #13. West coast higher #6. I think your take on Scream is spot on, it’s never been a bad ride, just uninspired/unoriginal. I think the only rattle I hear on scream is from the empty restraints. I would put full throttle higher as well, #5
Of all the big coasters here, here's how I rank the 15 I rode (Superman EFK was closed but I will edit this once I get a ride on that) 15. Gold Rusher 14. Revolution 13. Ninja 12. Goliath 11. Scream 10. Batman The Ride 9. Viper 8. Riddler's Revenge 7. West Coast Racers 6. Apocalypse 5. Full Throttle 4. Wonder Woman 3. Tatsu 2. Twisted Colossus 1. X2
Revolutions original form only had lap bars, I don’t recall what year they modified the trains to have over the shoulder restraints, but it definitely made it less comfortable. The new trains and just lap restraints was awesome to have back and I’d much rather ride revolution over The riddler.
My top 5: Twisted colossus, X2, Wwfoc, West coast racers, Full throttle Bottom 5 (Not including kiddie coasters): Green lantern, Scream, Gold rusher, Viper, and Superman(didnt ride). In the middle: Apocalypse, Revolution, Tatsu, Goliath, Ninja, and Batman.
One thing ive never understood abt ninja and the other suspended coasters is why their transitions and profiling are so much smoother and better than Arrows loopers. Its bizarre.
Definitely on my list of parks to visit whenever I can make it back to the West Coast. So many amazing coasters offered🎢 I find it so interesting that this park is so famous that Nickelodeon took Magic Mountain and changed it to Mystic Mountain probably for product placement in the Drake and Josh Demonator episode. Wow, almost 28K subs later☝🏻👏🏻 Congratulations! 롤러 코스터 에 요. (It’s a roller coaster.)
Ninja IS NOT a "Family Coaster." It goes 55 mph, has some wicked twist and turns and you're going almost completely on your side twice. This is a definite thrill ride.
Interestingly enough, this was the ride that my very timid, loud noise sensitive, 6 year old decided to ride this ride as his first adult roller coaster. He loved it and wanted to ride it again. This is the same kid who will NOT ride the Cars ride at Disneyland because it is too scary. 😂
Bro I kinda disagree with where riddlers revenge is on this list, when I went on it it made my legs tingle and they felt like that for an hour after going on it
Here is how I rank them: 1. X2 2. Twisted Colossus 3. Wonder Woman 4. Tatsu 5. Full Throttle 6. Apocalypse 7. Batman 8. West Coast Racers 9. Viper 10. Ninja 11. Riddler's Revenge 12. Goliath 13. Superman 14. Scream 15. New Revolution 16. GoldRusher Kids coasters same as you. Riddler would be higher if it had sit down trains like Kumba. It would be #5 or #6 with that type of set-up.
@@KRS1323 in response to which statement? If you're talking about X2 being closed they mean only during that visit, if you mean Tatsu being underrated their entitled to their opinion.
Haven't been to Cedar Point yet but from what I've seen it looks to have way higher highs (obviously it has SteVe) but isn't as consistent as SFMM. Think it just comes down to what you want out of a line up. Consistency vs higher highs
@@timothywait9457 Let’s go through it: Steel Vengeance > Twisted Colossus Magnum > Goliath TT2 > Superman Maverick > Full Throttle Okay, so yes cedar point does win in these, and these are by a good amount, but here we go--: Raptor < Batman Rougarou < Scream! Valravn < Riddlers Revenge Corckscrew < Viper Gatekeeper < Tatsu Blue Streak < Apocalypse Gemini < West Coast Racers Iron Dragon < Ninja Millenium Force < X2 (really close) Cedar Creek < Goldrusher Wild Mouse < New Revolution Rest of CP is kid coasters, and SFMM Still has Wonder Woman Flight of Courage which is one of the best there, as well as more kid coasters. So yes, Steel Vengeance is better than anything at SFMM, but the overall high quality coaster average is much higher at SFMM. When a Batman clone is my #9 in a park, you know you have a stacked lineup. I prefer bat clones over raptor, and that is my #6 at CP. I really love SFMM lineup, and I don’t blame you if you disagree with me. I just feel like SFMM gets dumped on too much
I for one say that Six Flags Magic Mountain sucks I mean don’t get me wrong I love the roller coasters 🎢 and all including Roaring Rapids especially since it’s refreshing in the summer time, but I don’t like the way the park closes early like I don’t know what the hell happened like I remember before in the summer the park use to close later than ten like at least midnight 🕛 or 1 am, but now they close at 8 or 9 pm , and that’s not all the goddam restaurants closes early as well and I’m not talking about an hour early before the park closes but I’m talking about super early because the employees are too lazy to serve people like I swear why do they even bother to apply for food service if they don’t wanna serve people, plus yesterday my sisters and their friend tried to get something to eat at a pizza place located in Viper the ride and the line was not only too long but there was only one cashier who was super slow and doesn’t know how to use the cash machine, and by the time they reached the window they closed on her, so she and friends ended up going to McDonald’s across the street, now yesterday when my friend and I went get a refill at a restaurant in waterfront which’s next to the Justice League ride and there was this Hispanic lady who was not only rude but lied about the soda machine been broken, so when I saw her giving other people refills my friend and I went in front of everybody and tried to make her refill our drinks especially since it was total BS and she ended up closing the cash window, so we went to complain to the supervisor but nothing happened cause the supervisor went to lunch instead and left my friend and I hanging, so I’m posting this not only cause it’s the only way to express myself but also I’m trying to warn everybody who’s planning to go to Magic to reconsider along with not purchasing the dining pass at all cause it’s not only a waste of your money but also the restaurants closes early which there’s no point of buying the season pass especially if you can’t get nothing to eat there.
Thank you for watching! 🎢

7. Apocalypse (Great woody, could be more forceful)
8. Riddlers Revenge (One of B&M's best layouts but stand up is meh)
9. Batman (Forceful Invert but the worst of the 3 in Cali)
10. Scream (Underrated. No rattle and a decent layout)
11. Revolution (Underrated as well. Good terrain interaction, forceful elements given its age)
12. Ninja (Rode this a week ago and was pleasantly surprised. Surprisingly intense)
13. Goliath (OK hyper. Lotta speed, shallow drops)
14. Superman (Fun, doesn't do enough)
15. Viper (layout good, headbang bad)
16. Gold Rusher (Fun family coaster. Good 2nd half)
The other 4 I have not ridden so idk. All really solid rides tho I don't think any of them are bad tbh
Tatsu is a rare number 1 coaster. Very interesting list!
@@CoasterDash yeah I don't have too many credits yet so I don't have much to compare Tatsu to haha. Hoping to get around to some of the east coast parks this year to see how things change. Great video btw.
Magic flyer used to be mini Goliath!! I have ride credits!!!
I’m jealous 😆
Hey, I appreciate your perspective. I would rank Superman lower #13. West coast higher #6. I think your take on Scream is spot on, it’s never been a bad ride, just uninspired/unoriginal. I think the only rattle I hear on scream is from the empty restraints. I would put full throttle higher as well, #5
Thanks for watching! Fair takes for sure 👍🏻
Honestly 2nd only to Cedar Point. Really great park
x2 shoots fire out at night sometimes
5 min club
Of all the big coasters here, here's how I rank the 15 I rode (Superman EFK was closed but I will edit this once I get a ride on that)

1. Twisted Colossus
2. Tatsu
3. Full Throttle
4. X2
5. Wonder Woman
6. Viper
7. Riddler's Revenge
8. Apocalypse
9. West Coast Racers

11. Goliath
12. Batman
13. Scream
14. Ninja
15. Revolution
16. Goldrusher
Nice list!
I been there 1 time in person it was fun
Revolutions original form only had lap bars, I don’t recall what year they modified the trains to have over the shoulder restraints, but it definitely made it less comfortable. The new trains and just lap restraints was awesome to have back and I’d much rather ride revolution over The riddler.
Wow, bold take! But glad MM gave Revolution the love it deserved.
Does anybody know is magic mountain open in January?
My List:
1. X2
2. Twisted Colossus
3. Full Throttle
4. Tatsu
5. Viper
6. Wonder Woman Flight of Courage
7. Batman: The Ride
8. Scream
9. Apocalypse
10. Riddler's Revenge
11. Goliath
12. West Coast Racers
13. Ninja
14. New Revolution
15. Gold Rusher
16. Road Runner Express
17. Canyon Blaster
18. Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers
Great ordering! Sorry you missed Superman, it always seems to be closed these days 😅
My favorite one is apocalypse or west coast racers
nice
My top 5: Twisted colossus, X2, Wwfoc, West coast racers, Full throttle
Bottom 5 (Not including kiddie coasters): Green lantern, Scream, Gold rusher, Viper, and Superman(didnt ride).
In the middle: Apocalypse, Revolution, Tatsu, Goliath, Ninja, and Batman.
User-xw3ll3wy21 green lanten not there
@@timothywait9457 The stand up coaster if that helps
Viper is NOT getting removed, let's get this understood.
One thing ive never understood abt ninja and the other suspended coasters is why their transitions and profiling are so much smoother and better than Arrows loopers. Its bizarre.
Interesting point! I find them all to be VERY smooth for their age.
Ok only reason I don’t like viper is because of viper and the ride is fun and all but the ride is super fun also the layout is pretty cool
X2 is also my number 1 at magic mountain
Definitely on my list of parks to visit whenever I can make it back to the West Coast. So many amazing coasters offered🎢 I find it so interesting that this park is so famous that Nickelodeon took Magic Mountain and changed it to Mystic Mountain probably for product placement in the Drake and Josh Demonator episode. Wow, almost 28K subs later☝🏻👏🏻 Congratulations! 롤러 코스터 에 요. (It’s a roller coaster.)
It’s a terrific park! Thanks for watching.
@@CoasterDash Ya welcome Marc✌🏻
My Top 3
1. Tatsu
2. Twisted Colossus
3. X2
Great coasters!
@@CoasterDash I think those 3 are in most people’s top three in different orders of course.
Bro I kinda disagree with where riddlers revenge is on this list, when I went on it it made my legs tingle and they felt like that for an hour after going on it
Here is how I rank them:
1. X2
2. Twisted Colossus
3. Wonder Woman
4. Tatsu
5. Full Throttle
6. Apocalypse
7. Batman
8. West Coast Racers
9. Viper
10. Ninja
11. Riddler's Revenge
12. Goliath
13. Superman
14. Scream
15. New Revolution
16. GoldRusher
Kids coasters same as you.
Riddler would be higher if it had sit down trains like Kumba. It would be #5 or #6 with that type of set-up.
I hear wake up by rage against the machine
How in the world did you manage to hold on to a GoPro riding X2? No way I can pull that off.
Solid list overall, but I disagree with the placement of Goliath and X2, here's mine (some unpopular opinions):
20 Canyon Blaster
19 Speedy Gonzales
18 Magic Flyer
17 Road Runner Express
16 Gold Rusher
15 Ninja
14 Revolution
13 Viper
12 Superman
11 Riddler's Revenge
10 Scream
9 Apocalypse
8 Full Throttle
7 West Coast Racers
6 X2 (extremely overrated)
5 Batman the Ride
4 Goliath (extremely underrated)
3 Wonder Woman FOC
2 Twisted Colossus
1 Tatsu (I love flying coasters)
Thanks for watching! Respectable list, I can see why X2 wouldn’t be everyone’s favorite.
RemsRides correct Goliath is under rated
@@CoasterDash the forces are great but It's to rough to be higher
Unpopular opinion: TWISTED COLLOSUS IS TOP 5!!!
Almost first
you and me both
I think tatsu is under rated but 😢sadly x2 was closed
Noooooo!!!!!!! I hope you get the chance to go back.
Says who
@@KRS1323 in response to which statement? If you're talking about X2 being closed they mean only during that visit, if you mean Tatsu being underrated their entitled to their opinion.
@@toyoracer33 misread. Thought they said x2 was closed.. couldn't find anything regarding that... Going on Monday so was hoping it wasn't true
@@KRS1323 I'm jealous. I haven't been in probably 6-8 months now. Take a ride on Goliath in the front left seat for me will ya?
This collection is better than Cedar Point, I don’t care what anybody says
I don’t agree, but I won’t say I don’t respect the claim 🤙🏻
Haven't been to Cedar Point yet but from what I've seen it looks to have way higher highs (obviously it has SteVe) but isn't as consistent as SFMM. Think it just comes down to what you want out of a line up. Consistency vs higher highs
Zero-gravitythrills no its not
@@timothywait9457 Let’s go through it:
Steel Vengeance > Twisted Colossus
Magnum > Goliath
TT2 > Superman
Maverick > Full Throttle
Okay, so yes cedar point does win in these, and these are by a good amount, but here we go--:
Raptor < Batman
Rougarou < Scream!
Valravn < Riddlers Revenge
Corckscrew < Viper
Gatekeeper < Tatsu
Blue Streak < Apocalypse
Gemini < West Coast Racers
Iron Dragon < Ninja
Millenium Force < X2 (really close)
Cedar Creek < Goldrusher
Wild Mouse < New Revolution
Rest of CP is kid coasters, and SFMM Still has Wonder Woman Flight of Courage which is one of the best there, as well as more kid coasters. I just feel like SFMM gets dumped on too much
Keep viper
Batman for real runs slow its so strange. Makes the ride less comfortable
No big whoop Goliath..Baman was great in 90s/2000

Viper is easily the worst
