I would just like to say, you are an excellent father. You can definitely tell that your daughter is the sunshine in your life. You must have had great parents because it shows in you.
Getting stung by a bee on a roller coaster at SFMM is a right of passage. Tell your daughter she in an exclusive club. Mine was on Deja Vu, hit my face landed on my chest and stung me in revenge. Glad you guys had an a good experience in the end.
The video captures the essence of my favorite park, including the frustration of the closed drink stations, haha. The ride capture and editing are the finest I've ever seen. Very well done 👏👏👏 Now I'll be checking out the rest of your videos ❤
Having been on X2 a number of times, you get the worst bangs in the back seats, and it can be pretty tough if you're not expecting it. It was fun to see you and your daughter having so much fun!
That was a well-spent day!! I love Magic Mountain and agree they should not do single-train ops. Also, though there are better and more intense RMCs out there, you have to remember that Twisted Colossus was one of the earlier converts. What made that ride so unique was that the trains would race. That was the gimmick when it first opened, so the operations were on point to get the timing right for both trains to meet on the lift hill and then interact with one another along the course. Thirteen coasters in one day is nothing to sneeze at so kudos to you all for hanging in there and making it work out!!
Adorable vlog. I'm a passholder and go frequently. X2 is worth another shot, but only in the front row...preferably inside seat. Any other row and you get banged up. I used to say "never again" as well but now only go front row. Ride ops have improved in the last few weeks with 2 trains operating on most rides. Made a huge difference. If only they could have one perfect day in which ALL 20 coasters are in operation.
I had the exact same experience on the X2. Was one of the craziest coasters I've been on, but don't think I could do it again. It really does bang the head around.
I rode every coaster with my son this past week as well. X2 is no joke! We also really liked Tatsu, West coast racers, Wonder Woman, and twisted colossus.
I enjoyed watching this video I watched it like 10 times already , I can’t wait to go to 6 flags I’ve never been their thanks for the review now I know what to expect and can’t wait to ride them
fun fact about Twisted Colossus. Magic Mountain was Wally World in National Lampoons Vacation and the ride Screaming Mimi was actually the original Colossus, which is the rollercoaster they took John Candy on at the end of the movie, the parking lot where the Covered Solar Parking is, is where they shot the police cars pulling up near Mimi.
Thank you! Loved your video. I don't like the way Magic Mountain has gone down hill in the way of 1 train ops and not everything operating from open till close. It's such an iconic park but it's loosing its popularity due to cut backs. I was there the last day of operation before shutting down for covid and the park was completely empty, zero minute wait for everything and all rides were operating with several trains. Only ride that was closed was Superman due to on and off rain. Loved spending the day with you guys, lots of fond memories as a child.
Gold Rusher is actually the oldest coaster in the park. I believe it debuted along with the kiddie coaster in 1971 when the park first opened. The next coaster that came along in 1972/73 was Mountain Express which was a Schwarzkopf wild cat model.
That was like third-stringer skeleton crew ops, lol. The coasters up in the hills/terrain were pretty sick. The others down below sitting on flat pads need some better theming around the tracks.
Feel the air, Last year you encouraged me to try a bigger coaster at Hershey Park and I went on lightning racer and enjoyed it it’s a bit of a headbanger though. This year I tried Great Bear and loved it I have officially conquered my 20 year fear of roller coasters especially with loops.
Looks like you made the most of a Six Flags Day on this trip! 24:40 Are you referring to Medusa at Great Adventure? That opened as the first floorless coaster. The only change has been in theming, to Bozarro and then back to Medusa. Maybe you're thinking of Rougarou at Cedar Point, which was the stand-up Mantis. Firebird at SF America was converted too.
I went to Magic Mountain last week for the first time. I sat in the same seat as you on X2 for my second ride and it almost gave me a concussion as well (hit my head so hard it altered my sense of smell for a second). Inside seats were definitely better. As for Riddler's Revenge or any stand-up coaster, bend your knees a bit before they lock the seats in place and flex your calves hard when the Gs hit. I find standing on my tiptoes helps with that
did you know the full throttle ride at this park is base off the first movie " top gun" and it was rated the best ride in early 2000s. it was said it closes to flying in a tomycat airplane.
I’m loving the content !!!! You two should come to Canadas Wonderland for the ACE event Sept 14th! , im planning to visit the park Sept 13-15 2024! YOU TWO would absolutely LOVE Vortex, Behemoth, Yukon Striker and Leviathan!!!
24:46 Medusa was always a floorless and never a stand up, i believe Medusa was B&Ms first floorless, Mantis (now Rougarou) was a stand up at Cedar point though, same with Patriot at Californias Great America!
The single trains kills this park. Operations are so brutal. Either understaffed or conspiracy to get the flash pass sold. Either way they have to fix this. Hopefully the merging of cedar fair will do something in regards to the ops.
Great video. Amazing how coasters have cjanged since i was a kid . Your a great dad. Ypu and your daughter are fearless!!! Hey, Is it a norm now for parks to close at 6pm? Oh, hey, you know i was only razzin ya about pushing the baby stroller videos ago.
I live in Canada, there are some good coasters to get credits at Canada's Wonderland. If you have time, you can come and try them out. I'm sure you'll have a good time.
I recently got a new thrills for Wonder Woman flight of courage, westcoast rider, and justice league battle of metropolis. Especially the return of forward facing of Superman escape from krypton.
I am kinda sad that Twisted Colossus didn't duel. It rarely duels nowadays versus when I went the weekend it came out and it dueled. That's what made the ride so cool. But still love Six Flags though
If you wouldn't ride it again then it's definitely not in your top 10. I always feel bad for out of towners excited to ride X2 not realizing how much it ragdolls you. Thing is, X2 really is as amazing as they say. It's such a thrilling coaster. But you have to know how to ride it otherwise all you're going to feel is pain. Next time press your head firmly against the back of the seat, press your legs/calves firmly against the front of the seat, and hold on tight to your ots restraints. It minimizes the banging making the ride less painful so you can actually enjoy all the elements of the coaster.
Great job loved your vlog if you’re at HP and have time for an interview for my enthusiast documentary I’d love to have you guys in it especially being locals 💚
14:50 idk if you learned or not but at MM the flash pass means you should basically go get in line with about 10 to 15 min left because the flashpass still has a wait.
"I'd put that in my top 10... but I'm never going to ride it again" LOL I think X2 would be a pass for me now that I'm "middle age" and dont want to die. Same with Goliath... and probably Tatsu... I should just stick with Dutch Wonderland.
X 2 is my fav coaster in the United States cedar point needs it as well as a single rail coaster like wonder woman. Magic Mountain is tough because they dont staff enough and few cars running on every coaster. X2 was closed so we insisted getting a hotel and go back next day ...most visits require 2 days if you want to ride everything same with cedar point and universal Orlando but universal LA is a joke compared to Orlando
Great videos but I wish you would elaborate a little more on why you liked or didn't like all of the roller coasters. I thought the Twisted Colossus looked fun and then when you got off, you guys said you didn't really like it but I don't know why.....I'm kind of left hanging. It would be nice to know if you thought it was too boring or too rough or what the problem was. I am not a big fan of roller coasters but I loved the Batman when I road it approx. 30 years ago...I thought that was one of the smoothest coasters I had ever been on and I also really enjoyed the Ninja ....I hate anything that is jerky so it would be nice to know what is smooth and what isn't. You said your ears were banging on the Riddler so that's good to know for people who don't like that. I haven't been on a coster in over 20 years and I probably won't be going any time soon but it's fun to watch and someone else might appreciate knowing how smooth, jerky, scary, etc. a coaster is for those who have some hesitation about them.
Dang I was there on Wednesday. It was so hot but the lines were fairly short because of it. It would have been cool to see you guys. As a local pass holder Superman is almost never open and you were lucky to get on Ninja and X2. Riddlers is fun but you need to lock your legs, stand up straight, and try to keep your head back against the rest. Twisted is fun when you race but it is only like every 3rd cycle.
There's nothing worse than taking a spoiled brat to an amusement park where you know there's going to be some closures an add-on hot weather. This is the first time watching your channel
I'm looking on the app right now and it says Apocalypse, CraZanity, Lex Luthor, Superman, Twisted Colossus, West Coast Racers, and X2 are temporarily closed. Do you know anything about this? Great video btw!
What's your home park? Btw: there are two other coasters that has the tallest loops in the world ahead of Full Throttle: The Flash(@Lewa Adventure)and Hypercoaster(@Lands of Legends)
@@MrPopsfreshnmyerthey still race but with only two trains it is hard so it only happens every other cycle and the team is running to get the train out so they can race.
Very cool channel! My daughters and I have enjoyed watching it. The last 3 years we have been on a roller coaster kick so we have been going every summer. We live near Sacramento so we have gone to six flags discovery kingdom and I just took them down this June to magic mountain! We had a good time but experienced some of the same frustrations while we were there. Good work on all your videos. We really enjoy them, but I do have to ask what it is. You do for a living that allows for so much fun?? And where can I sign up? jp_jensen84

Why is this channel so underrated

Your videos are the best coaster videos I have seen. So underrated. I wish I could travel the country riding coasters. 😊

Great video! Spending time with your daughter is the best of times. Those flash passes were well worth the price!

I was gonna say the same thing, Medusa was the original floorless which is why they relocated Green Lantern there which I hate.
Seeing Kyree scream on a coaster is a miracle

I use the Insta360 GO3. The small camera strapped to my wrist is about the size of a Fitbit.

You need to race to make Twisted Colossus great.

Most Six Flags parks close at 6pm this summer. They've reduced operating hours due to staff/budget cuts.

I am kinda sad that Twisted Colossus didn't duel. It rarely duels nowadays versus when I went the weekend it came out and it dueled. That's what made the ride so cool. But still love Six Flags though
Batman inverts are all identical layouts or mirror images. Also, Medusa was always a floorless. Rougaru, on the other hand, was a stand-up
