I’m so glad you’re pushing this mindset. Without making it a long sob story, during the three relationships that I had, the only one where I was in love was six years ago. Our society is brutal and disgusting and looks above to couples for simply being a couple; and I wish that would change. Do not be in a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship and do not let muddy values by cheap people stop you from loving being single and living your life until love actually does happen.
I personally prefer college over high school altough college is definetly a lot of work but it's work I am more interested in and you can decide yourself up to a certain point what classes you want to take and when to do the work. I really enjoy the freedom and responsibilty of college 😊 It is super stressfull and hard work tho. Don't be fooled

I agree so much on what you said about being single. I had a 1 year long relationship when I was 16-17 but I had no idea what I was doing, I didn't really know myself at all. It was a nice time but looking back at it, it didn't give me much. And now everyone around me is crazy about being in a relationship, but I've just found myself, I have a lot of hobbies, I'm in my dream university studying what I have always wanted to, and I feel like being in a relationship is the last thing I would want. I'm 19, and whenever I say I don't really want to be in a relationship people are surprised as if it was compulsory lol. I feel like I'd much rather just focus on my studies and hobbies, and self development, and getting to know myself and love myself more than 'having to' focus on someone else too.

Hey Giulia, I've had the same thoughts as you a year ago. I know the concept of death is scary, but we shouldn't be afraid of it when it comes. All I can say is that focus on the NOW and what makes you happy. Keep busy, hangout with friends, learn a new hobby,and enjoy life. Also, you should talk about it to friends and see what advice they could give you.Talking about it will help you feel better. Hope my advice helps :)
Honestly please do not get in a relationship if you're not 100% in love and comitted to that person. I am in a very happy relationship but I've also experienced a more negative relationship and in the end, I was really unhappy and the break up was unavoidable. I became very mean towards the last few weeks and gave him a really hard time because I was so unhappy. It was bad for both of us. I felt so free when I actually broke up. As I said, relationships require a lot of work and time and if you're not willing to commit to that, neither you nor your partner will benefit from it.

My product design/design technology teacher hates me for no reason, I always try, and I always give in my hw at a high quality on time- but he gives me low grades. A plan sheet and a research sheet on Picasso, and got what would be like a B- My friend (who I am proud of just confused like wtf) did a greetings card with a water colour lotus and half a page on an artist, and got a B+ She did less, at a lower quality, spent 30 minutes-on it and it took me 3+ HOURS, yet I got less? This really upset me but my teacher is also stubborn and will somehow twist it. Do I get my mum to Email him? or do I just try and recover as it’s in a minor lesson?
Honestly for me, high-school wasn't that bad. College on the other hand is stressful 😖 I'm basically studying everyday because if I don't I won't pass. Basically I have no life when school starts😖

Currently attending a CC and that wasn’t my intentional plan either however I found that it has opened more doors for me and it is giving me another chance to reconsider what colleges I would like to apply to :) UC Santa Cruz is definitely up there for me and believe it or not attending a Community college guarantees you a higher chance on getting in :) I am a barley a first year at my CC, 18 years old and still trying to discover who I am, but I hope to transfer in 2 years :)! its funny how your class hours are shorter compared to us yet u learn more than we do. per subject its minimum of 2hrs and for laboratories its 3 and a half hours ;(( also we have classes from monday til saturday, 9am to 8pm.. smh. but still grateful tho hihi

YOU. i'm one year older than you, i'll be 23 in a month, and the only relationship i had in my life was a two year struggle with a guy i met on tinder (lmao wild times), and only last year after we broke up i realised that i was with him only because i wanted to 'be with someone' because id been alone my entire life before. After the break up i also felt so so alone and like 'what now, now no one will love me i will die alone', but after some um rather unfortunate dates during the summer i realised that i actually feel good being single, i get to enjoy all the things i love, i can organise my time the way i want. of course sometimes it feels kinda sad, but now, especially thanks to what you said as an answer to that question, i know that it is my life, and i should live it the best i can, if there happens to be someone that is wiling to try and spend this life with me then why not, but i need to learn to enjoy being single and loving myself. (even though all my friends are in a relationship and most people my age already are married and/or have babies and stuff TT)

Hi so idk im looking for some advice so my sister lives 15 minutes away and i live at home with my parents. we're both out of school she works as an influencer and graphic designer. i live at home i work in marekting from home. my dad is has stage 3 lung cancer and my sister only visits us 4 times a week and stays only 2 night a week, is it wrong i ask to her to move back in with us. she argues that she needs her own place for her sanity and to help with her influncer lifestyle. am i being a brat lol or being sensible
