Highly underrated! What happened was the critics were probably paid by other game names to rip days gone apart! In my opinion days gone Is one of the best games of all time! Still play it now on ps5.
I'm not usually into single player games, but Days Gone was something unlike I haver ever experienced. This game will always remain in my heart as my favorite game.
Same here ..... Not many games can beat the feeling of riding the bike down the beautiful world of days gone .... Everything in days gone be it the story ... The characters the atmosphere the gameplay, the music and sound design and the combat tugs at ur heart strings ..... Days gone is an experience like no other ....
Totally agree with everything said here in this thread, God I love this game. It's the first game I went out of my way to get the platinum trophy, in new game + Absolute masterpiece!!!
There was definitely something suspicious going on with the reviews on this game. Every single person I’ve ever spoke to that has played this game absolutely loved but unfortunately like me they never played it until years later because of the reviews. Most underrated game of all time? The story had many clichés and the characters weren't even half as great as in Gow or Horizon... The map was good but after 15-20 hours it became boring and the side activities also became repetitive. The game doesn't even had an Okay hand to hand combat...

When I was thinking of playing something after RDR2, I saw the ads for this game now & then on PS5. Zombies freak me out & I suck at quick time events, so I never thought I’d download it. Story was a banger, but recently I've been 100 percenting it for the basic gameplay. I replayed it recently and was like man this gameplay is so slept on. Just so fun.
I cant believe its been 5 years since the release of this game. It was such a good game. Slow start for sure, but very satisfying story in the middle to end. Plus gameplay was good too.
It's the only game I've ever played where quests didn't feel like a chore. I was genuinely dying to know what would happen next. The survival elements make the open world genuinely difficult to travel through especially if u lose ue bike
Picked this up a couple weeks ago. Game is amazing. Randomly coming across a horde when you are out of bullets and gas is the worst, in the best way possible.
Days gone was the fist game where I never felt like it was getting reparative I never groaned or feared doing anything I’m the game sadly I’ll never experience anything like this I played a lot of single player games but this felt like dream with no flaws
I was one of those people that didn't like the game at all so I never finished. But I gave it a try again earlier this year and now I love it. Pretty upset it took me this long to realize what a good game this is.
I knew this game would be good. It is the only game I ever pre-ordered. And I don’t know why, but I did not have any bugs when I played this game day one on my PlayStation 4. It blows my mind because this game is way better than 99% of video games within the last 20 years and so many people just want to hate on it.
This was the game that prompted me to stop reading reviews from "big" review sites. It was clear that the reviewers only sampled a few hours of the game before trashing it. It remains one of best games I've played in the genre. It has the magic of being able to keep you on edge, because all it takes for to be thrown into a stressful (awesome) state of mind is making a mistake on your bike and knowing you might be swarmed. It never got old.
I think assholes that reviewed the game need a head check. I love it. It's one of my favourite games. I wish Bend Studio's would make a sequel to the game as well. I love the weather system in the game.
They only played the first hour two hours of the game and they probably thought was the motorcycle slow and clunky. It won’t get any better little. Did they know?
Its annoying that other games far inferior to this game get endless sequels but Days Gone gets no sequel and mainly due to negative reviews made by people who had never even played it. Even 5 years or so later, for me it is still the best, most exciting game ever made. A sequel is constantly being talked about and I really hope it happens. I would buy it in a heartbeat. Great video by the way.
With the new update you can reset any part of the game once you beat it 100%. You can reset all hordes or ambush camps or infestations all at once or individually. I bkught the game in 2019 and ha e played it religiously since up until now and to see the progress is like watching a child grow. It never ends with playability and you can go about one camp or horde literally over a thousand ways. It is NEVER the same. The game doesnt say do it this way or that way it just says get it done and dont die. The most freestyle game ever made
I know the sequel was cancelled but it still did well. It has a cult following and is only getting more and more attention so we may get a sequel years down the road.
Want some fun? Before shooting some zombies or taking out a nest. Look for a nearby dumpster to climb into. After shooting some of them run and jump into a dumpster. They get all pissed off and pound on the dumpster but can't open it. I like to do this with the big Breakers its hilarious. Jump out when clear and hit them again and hop back in the dumpster, good times.
Days Gone was my first ever platinum. I'm not someone who grinds and completes games 100%. But I got hooked, Days Gone is a complete masterpiece and never deserved the hate it got.
I don’t care what anybody says. It had an awesome story to it everything I experienced in the game is great. I played this game three times now completed it 100% done everything I’d really like to see days gone 2
You don’t understand how much it infuriates me How IGN and Metacritic got away with lying and sabotaging Days Gone and Any chance of a DLC or sequel…. Dude it fucking drives me mad…. Because Days Gone is by far the best PlayStation exclusive and my all time favourite, Ghost of Tsushima is very close in 2nd place
7:45 you can literally play combat however you want! Stealth, melee, explosives and traps and a million weapons, one of the best parts of this amazing game
I was lucky enough to pick this game up on a steam sale without realizing it was the game with the zombie horde I saw the first E3 trailer for. So when I encountered my first horde it was jaw dropping.
One of THE most sinfully underrated games ever made. You accurately described the battles with the hordes, butt clenching. The farm horde and the horde that you have to battle to gain the napalm molotov damn near made me quit the game. But when my then 16 year old son mocked me for giving up on it, calling the battles easy, I went back with new determination and finished the game, which had one of the most unexpected twists I've played in a game. A sequel to this game is a MUST HAVE!!!!!!
I totally relate to that story about your son! I’m currently playing through God of War Ragnarok and my boy (15) is relentless if I’m stuck on a boss - making me want to power through even more! 😁
While playing Ragnarok, I actually put it down for at least a whole year, because of how large it was. I found it daunting, because each world kept opening up to more and more side missions. Great game, but can sometimes overstay it's welcome 😅
I’ve loved this game since launch. Brought it on steam as well. First time I’ve never felt that the open world busy work was boring or a waste of time. The Nero story line kept me hooked for the hole game. My only issue is that the cult leader villain was half baked and didn’t really care about him. I feel like this was the start of the whole ‘don’t listen to offical reviewers’ movement games and movies are experiencing.
Here in 2024 after recovering my save for days gone with all weaps unlocked and a fully upgraded bike on ps5. I played it when it launched. I had never even heard of it before that and i was sort of in a bad spot in life and needed something to take my mind off things. I was playing the last of us for the 10th time when my brother told me about a new zombie game where you play as a biker and gotta fix your bike up. It sounded different, i bought the digital version on the spot and powered it up. To say i was instantly hooked would be an understatement. This game got me through a rough patch and for that itll always hold a special place in my heart. I didnt even watch any reviews for it until after i finished the main story and i was baffled by what i heard. Sure it launched rough but not nearly as bad as people said. I remember watching igns review and just fuming from the ears cause i knew it was gonna hurt our chances of ever seeing a sequel giving how strict sony is with that sort of thing. I still hope one day we get one but probably not. I couldnt get into other games after finishing days gone until i stumbled upon dying light and thats another game thats special to me for helping me get past the feeling of no other game can compare to the masterpiece days gone is. A diamond in the rough for sure.
This game is by far the ultimate premier zombie adventure that sets a new standard that makes all previous zombie games look pathetic and lackluster . I bought this about a month ago and I have spent all my free time with it . There absolutely should be another Days Gone in the making .
Ah days gone. One of my top games last gen and still now. Didnt buy it at launch, so have zero negativity about it. I heard it had launch issues!! Brilliant game!
Nah I played it at launch and it had really minor issues. The only issues it had were a few big review site (ign, GameSpot?) that decided this was the game they burn to the ground. That truly was the only problem the game had. Thankfully I never listen to reviews and Days Gone just confirmed that for me.
Loved the bike loved the jobs for hire. Not so much in for the hordes. But everything is second to none. Story line was fantastic. The advertising should have included the moded bike. Jobs for hire. Best game ever. Love the outlaw biker colours the bike riding.
I am having such a blast playing this game. As soon as I started the game I decided to play it slowly, not just rushing into the main story and trying to finish it quick but rather be completely in the role of Deacon. Not rushing saying that anyway I will restart at the last saving point but rather really trying to get out of situation as if my life depended on it lol. For example, if it happens that I really need a gas can to go on and the circumstances are really bad, I still trying to figure out how can I get it, it may take 1 hour, 2 hours, I don't care. I went into a lot of crazy scenarios that just happens live, random things that are constantly unfolding in the open world, and the feeling of being able to get out of these unexpected situations is just crazy. I don't know for city people, but as a guy who really go walking in the woods and traveled in British Columbia and Oregon in real life, the landscape and the feel of the environment is absolutely stunning, it's so realistic and well made. The ground, the flowers, the trees, the bike sounds, the gunfights action, you can tell it's made with heart and dedication. Of course you have to get over the bad timing of the narration versus the actual action and few bugs like that, but playing this game is a great experience.
Exactly. I played it the same way. Had no idea what this game was. Nor watched any reviews. Was just looking for something to play because RDR2O went down the drain. Saw this on my PS Plus and I’m a fiend for zombie games. And well 400 plus hrs and a platinum trophy later….
I played the game a few months after release and heard about it from word of mouth by my boyfriend at the time. It wasn't until I finished the game and wanted to watch videos about it did I find out how "bad" it was. I was shocked, and still am. Definitely one of my favorites, and definitely my most underrated game played so far
If anyone has played Mad Max, the relationship Max has with his car is very similar to Decon and his bike, both a pivotal mechanic to the game play. This game is a masterpiece and its criminal how there won’t be a sequel!
@@adamscottgames definitely! I think days gone certainly took inspiration from it, unfortunately the story is very bland but the game play alone keeps you playing! If you have played the first batman games the combat is the same as that, very refined!
Butt clenching encounters😂😂😂 defeating hordes is such a buzz. Another underrated game that I replay regularly is Styx Master of Shadows. It’s graphics and gameplay still hold up well despite being 10 years old.
Both Styx games are great IMO, and among my favorites. The best stealth games I've played (Thief and Dishonored are very good but don't quite measure up IMO). One thing the Styx games have in common with DG is the variety of tools & ways you can complete a task. Love that.
The best £14.99 i ever spent,i got it in 2021 and had hardly any issues and definitely one of the best games ive played i would PERSONALLY put it on a par with the last of us,obviously a lot of gamers would disagree but we all have our own opinions.
@adamscottgames I kind of agree and disagree if you know what I mean I think most people who actually took the time to get into the game loved it and it does get a lot of love from what i can see,I think the reviews when it came out ( some of them justified) definitely did not help,as I say I got it in 2021 and think by then most of the problems that they had at launch had been ironed out and I experienced very few glitches, would love a sequel but it appears that ain't gonna happen, unless the proposed movie of the first game comes to fruition that could help fingers, crossed.
This seems like a classic example of game reviewers totally screwing a good game for . . . "reasons", which I guess we're all aware of now, but that people weren't so aware of 4 years ago when a lot of reviewers weren't as up front about their actual reasons for downgrading and bashing some games.
I bought this game about four years ago. I played an hour and promptly stopped and forgot about it. I picked it up again last week on my PS4 (my PC went down) and I'm about 30 hours in. Totally immersed and entranced. Loving it.
One of the best games ive played in a LONG while. the story, environment, characters and everything in-between was just so well crafted. All while I was searching for the bad game that I always heard about. The only thing that could have ever been done differently for the game is to have a PC enhanced edition. All in all what a hell of a story and a RIDE!
Your video was recommended to me and I totally agree with you on this, I'm glad i decided to ignore the reviews, it just looked to much like my kind of game so i bought it within the first week of it being out and fell in love, i would save videos for my wife to update her on the story and call her into the room when i would take on a horde. They did a great job with the game. Oh and i subbed and liked.
Zander Reese's music that you hear in the Lost Lake gazebo is worth a mention also. I'm probably on my 5th time through (not in a row) and only just discovered the "reset jobs" option. You can go have all the fun without doing a Newgame+ and going back through the story.
Dude this game was legit amazing on hard 2 mode and zero health upgrades. I didnt do those generic sidequests at all to maintain a concentrated experience. At the end, I freaking loved it. I'm not gonna lie I enjoyed this game more than RDR 2. Much better combat and the story hooked me from the first moment to the last. Sure RDR 2 is still maybe technically better and has better sidequest quality (like Witcher 3) but I personally thought RDR2 had a bit too many pacing and gameplay related issues. But DAMN did days gone made me so happy. I never got bored the entire time. It was a unique zombie open world. The cinematics were great. Dialogues were fantastic. I enjoyed Days gone more than RDR 2 (as it has a very similar quest design) and even I'm shocked for saying that :) I dont know what you guys think tho maybe this is a very hot take?
Respect! I haven't even actually played this game yet(aside from maybe an hour) but RDR2 was a let down story wise as I was playing so many great Sony exclusives at the time. And the gameplay (after beating GoW on hard) was so easy it made the entire game boring. The story was honestly generic with great character development but nothing to really pull you in. Days Gone on the other hand at least tells a concise story(as I understand it) in comparison. A story that draws you in and takes itself seriously something rockstar struggles to do even when they are trying to be more grounded.
Great review!!! I played Days Gone day one on my PS4 Pro because I had pre-ordered the collector's edition...and I loved it!!! I even got the platinum...and I've even double dipped by buying it on Steam too. Days Gone is another amazing must play PlayStation game that I highly recommend to others.
Finished it today. One of the best stories. The game was way too easy though (except when facing hordes which was really annoying because your stamina stops generating REAL soon). The story parts are so good that is what really kept dragging me back into the game every day.
I played for an hour and did not like the acting and thought the story was gonna be bad so I stopped. Came back a few years later to actually give it a shot. It’s actually really good, the voice acting is still kinda weird with Deacon sometimes but it does get better as the game goes on. The bike physics are great. One of the few games where I never fast travel as travelling on its own is just fun
Its wayyyy underrated. Great review also. I'd add that free roaming is so good in Days Gone. I love that you can meet a bear and with a bit of risk and luck guide him into a hoard or a bandit camp and just watch the carnage. All the npcs will interact with each other when they meet and with unpredictable outcomes that you can take advantage. The bugs are years ago fixed
This game deserved better. I got it for free on PlayStation and it ended up being one of the best games on my ps5. I heard it didn’t run well on the ps4 but I can’t speak to that. Some elements are cliche, like the main character’s terrible name and heart of gold bad biker motif, and the lack of stakes regarding supporting characters. However it’s a fantastic fun game with a great gameplay loop. If nothing else it deserves a second look and I’d argue it deserves a sequel.
Put it off for ages, platinumed it recently, restarted on NG+ so will play again after I play some other stuff. Absolutely loved it, the story the variety of killing hordes. Definitely in my top 5. Hope some minds change ad grant us a well deserved sequel, in glorious next gen.
I'm really enjoying this game; especially when you chance upon a hoard and you have literally hundreds of the things chasing you. It's the only open world survival horror game that I'm aware of.
I just finished completing "Days Gone" and I will tell you it has some of the best plot driven narratives out there. Many twists and turns. You absolutely feel emotional compelled by the characters and want them to succeed. (Which I feel is a rarity on triple-A games of today) It is not a perfect game obviously - it can be a little grindy it you want to level up and complete all objectives. There are the "fetch quests" which unfortunately a staple in games today as well. (Ala Far Cry) I put a lot of hours in it and getting my character up to the challenge of finally taking on the Hordes was very rewarding. I am sure this will be on sale on Steam - it would be a shame to miss it.
On sale right now if anybody is interested, like 12$ it’s a steal and buying it supports the devs. Let them know we want to see a sequel, as much as that is unlikely. But we can hope right 😢
This game sounds somewhat interesting but I think what undermined it in a lot of peoples' eyes is the fact that ZOMBIES and OPEN-WORLD are both NPC concepts. Every thoughtless NPC who wants to get into game dev is in love with the idea of either zombies, or open-world gameplay, or both. Those ideas are red flags and when a thinking person hears those words being thrown around, they kind of automatically know that the game will not be a memorable experience, even if those concepts are executed in a great way. Also, there's the "value" aspect to that 60 or 80 or 100 hours of gameplay. Most gamers don't want a "budget" game that will give then a thousand hours of fetch quests and kill quests. They want a memorable narrative that will stick with them for years, even if there was only a few hours of gameplay. The serious tone and brutality sound really cool though, especially for gamers tired of the Marvel-ization of games.
Definitely the closest to an immersive, thrilling, post apocalyptic open world survival game with horror aspects & with somewhat of a believable resource/looting system while delivering the feeling of an actually active world that we’ve got so far. Very, very underrated indeed. IMO this game certainly set a benchmark for how games in this niche & genre could/should be done. A couple of tweaks, enhancements & improvements and this would be a timeless masterpiece. Sure do hope one day we will get something very similar, if not a part 2.
I stayed away from this game for years because of reviews despite living in Oregon and thinking it was cool to finally get a game that takes place in my home state, my friend let me borrow it once and it blew my mind, it was like if Uncharted or The Last of Us wasn't linear and you could actually do things besides only story and the power creep of not being able to take on hordes at first but eventually getting the right equipment to handle them and having a small gas tank, actively having to search for gas kind of reminded me of State of Decay a little bit but way more intricate not to mention that the story was way better and more engaging than I anticipated. The skill tree didn't always have the most useful skills but it covered a lot of bases regarding different playstyles and it served it's purpose. My experienced of this game started with pleasant surprise and ended with awe and sadness that it was over.
As many other aspects of pop culture, the puppet masters who control entertainment media push forward what agrees and promotes their agenda, and outcast and downgrade what doesnt. This game is a masterpiece, and having the reviews it got just shows even videogames cant escape their gaslighting
More like the mass of bugs, performance issues and other problems early on were what triggered the very average reviews. Most people like myself who loved it played it much later with all those fixed.
I just started to play it and I’ve been enjoying it. It’s probably helpful that I’m playing the PC port that had years for the studio to patch out the bugs.
I absolutely love this game! Gameplay is so much fun, I really liked the characters, and the world is great. Im like you…I skipped it at first because of the reviews…but months later I gave it a try and I’m always hoping one day a sequel will get announced. Def the best example of “don’t always listen to the reviews”.
I`ve just finished this game and I dont know how I`m going to replace Boozer, Rikki and Iron Mike and the Freakers and wild dogs trying to kill me in my life. The storey is fantastic, animation and gameplay are amazing and the world is rich, gorgeous and believable. This was escapism into that world and I want more. We DEMAND a sequel !!! You cant leave me on the cliff to hang on forever O`Brian!
Some reviews felt negative but despite that it was still a financial success. So the fact Sony didn't want a sequel is a head scratcher when the consumers (gamers) spoke with our cash. We obviously liked the game, so why no sequel?
@adamscottgames I felt the same way with their Resistance and Killzone franchises. Especially with Resistance, like why TF is it taking so long to get a HD remaster collection at the very least for current consoles ??
I dont care what anyone or any review says this game is awesome one of the best i have ever played o still play it from time to time beat the story close to 10 times
I have played on PC Days Gone, Horizon zero Dawn and I'm now middle witcher 3. HZD for me is average good, witcher 3 is great but Days Gone takes the crown
No other game has ever come close to the sheer panic and exhilaration you get when facing a horde. Love it! In my opinion, it was the best game of the last gen.
I had been following this game since 2016 when my coworker showed me a demo video that was put out of what a horde would look like. I was sold hook line and sinker. Loved it when it came out. Still don't see why it got a lot of flack, it's a solid game.
Days gone is probably the best game I’ve ever played to date, went into it thinking it was going to be bad but man the whole damn thing captivated me so fast.
I bought a PS5 just for GoWR anddddd thisssss Days Gone. High up on the list was Horizon Zero Dawn 1 & 2, Bloodborne and The Last of Us 1 & 2. I’m a Xbox Player but originally a PlayStation guy. I absolutely loved Days Gone. After playing it I checked reviews and such and was appalled at ppl who apparently never played the game more what seemed like a few short hours. My one friend I’ve gotten him so close to playing this. I think he’s almost there. 🤪 Keep ya fingers crossed that it happens. I adored this game. Whilst I did play it after the bug fixes and whatnot I’ve only bumped into mayyyyyybe a half a dozen glitches. But small ones such as a dead freakier hanging in the air as if he was climbing something and died. So they were minuscule. But the games amazing and pretty damned pretty.
I'm playing this for the 1st time ever on my PS5, I am enjoying it so damn much that I have decided to go for the platinum trophy. I cannot put this game down. 10/10 for me.
This game was super awesome! Finished it in 2024 on a ps5. Loved every minute, i usually take forever to finish a game, but this game had me hooked! With all the garbage games out there, this one right here stood out.
I never understood why the game was received so badly by many. I really enjoyed the game and the story! It’s sad that the bad critiques made a sequel difficult
I bought this game last year for PC on a Steam sale. I was hooked from the very first minute. 😎 Loved every bit of it; the story, the gameplay, the world, the characters, the missions etc etc. And yes, boy oh boy even the hordes haha! First encounter you will be very intimidated and probably die. Didn't bore myself one single minute which is very rare these days in open world games! Don't understand all the negativity about this game. If you never played it before then just buy this gem, you won't regret it. Together with Dead Space remake these are my two favorite games I've played in 2023. ❤️
Thank you for LIKING, COMMENTING, and SUBSCRIBING!

*"Definitely one of my favorite **_gakes_** of all time."*
what does *"GAKES"* mean ??
@@kan-zee It means a typo occurred little bro!
Days Gone is the best game that I almost missed. Now I don't put as much trust into reviews as I did before Days Gone was released.
Same here. Everything just feel enjoyable. The side quests are even better than most games main mission.
Picked this up a couple weeks ago. Game is amazing. Randomly coming across a horde when you are out of bullets and gas is the worst, in the best way possible.
Days gone is one of the greatest games ever played !! We deserve a 2 for sure
If Sony sent out a poll, they’d know that most people would rather want a sequel to Days Gone than Concord.
💯
Here after Concord shut down it's servers
@@hogan4670 Sunken into the annals of history. LOL
Probably have permanent heart failure from getting the crap scared outta me every time a wolf jumped out at me outta nowhere.
😂
So many jump moments but for me the kid in the car boot ..damn.. I didn't open another boot for an hour... 🤣
Thanks! 🤜🤛
The most freestyle game ever made
...I played it religiously...amen 😊
Completed it thrice already, and is still my go to game when i want to relax and just roam around. i keep dreaming about a sequel.
Mee too!
I loved days gone on ps4 pro! On my ps5 i didn't know what love was! If this doesn't get a sequel it would be sonys biggest mistake!!!!
I was lucky enough to pick this game up on a steam sale without realizing it was the game with the zombie horde I saw the first E3 trailer for. So when I encountered my first horde it was jaw dropping.
That's awesome!
There aren't too many things that scare me in games (or movies) but the hordes in DG were truly terrifying!
One of my favorite games. Can't believe there's not going to a sequel.
600 hours.. I still find this game extremely satisfying...
Wow that’s a lot of hours
I Played it on PC when it was released and it blew me away for the 140 odd hours I spent on my first playthrough.
I've been playing games for over 40 years and this is one of the best games of all times. Bad reviews come from kids with short attention spans.
I played the game a few months after release and heard about it from word of mouth by my boyfriend at the time. It wasn't until I finished the game and wanted to watch videos about it did I find out how "bad" it was. I was shocked, and still am. Definitely one of my favorites, and definitely my most underrated game played so far
I never listen to the mainstream reviews. They generally are just flat out wrong
If anyone has played Mad Max, the relationship Max has with his car is very similar to Decon and his bike, both a pivotal mechanic to the game play. This game is a masterpiece and its criminal how there won’t be a sequel!
I have that game on my list. Looks like another underrated gem!
@@adamscottgames definitely! I think days gone certainly took inspiration from it, unfortunately the story is very bland but the game play alone keeps you playing! If you have played the first batman games the combat is the same as that, very refined!
I got my first Platinum Trophy from this game, ❤U Days Gone. Thanks for the memories.
oh man, hearing that intro song pulls at my heart strings. What a game.
Love that.
Some of the negative reviewers definitely did not fully play the whole game, I really like the game!
The best £14.99 i ever spent,i got it in 2021 and had hardly any issues and definitely one of the best games ive played i would PERSONALLY put it on a par with the last of us,obviously a lot of gamers would disagree but we all have our own opinions.
I love both games but I don't think Days Gone has gotten nearly enough credit for being so good!
A man after my own heart! Thanks for the sub! 🤜🤛
Zander Reese's music that you hear in the Lost Lake gazebo is worth a mention also. I'm probably on my 5th time through (not in a row) and only just discovered the "reset jobs" option. You can go have all the fun without doing a Newgame+ and going back through the story.
Good call! Yesterday is a fantastic track! i love that you can play through 5 times and still find new ways to have fun in the game!
If it's a hot take, it's the right one! This game is without a doubt Sony's MOST underrated!
agreed, somehow i also really enjoy this game more than rdr2!
Thanks! Yeah, I sing this game's praises to anyone who'll listen!
One of my top 5 games of all time. While a sequel is unlikely, I am still hoping for one.
Only thing the game was missing was character customization. Mods fixed that though.
Yeah, that would've been great!
But we can hope right 😢
I replay this game every year or so. It’s easily in my top5s
The gameplay, the story, the acting...enjoyed it all. One of the few times I disagreed with many of the critical reviews.
Great review and impressions of the game, thanks! I'll definitely try and grab a copy of days gone
Awesome!
I'm currently playing it for the first time. It's a very solid game, way better than most post-apocalyptic games I've played.
It’s just a game.
More like the mass of bugs, performance issues and other problems early on were what triggered the very average reviews. Most people like myself who loved it played it much later with all those fixed.
@@MrYazboAnd more like reviewers attempt to clean the way for woke tlou2. 😉
I just started to play it and I’ve been enjoying it. It’s probably helpful that I’m playing the PC port that had years for the studio to patch out the bugs.
Thank you for showing this game so much love! Of course TLOU gets remade and remastered 100 times but Days Gone can’t get a sequel 💔😡
The hate this game gets is buffing. This game is great
I absolutely love this game! Gameplay is so much fun, I really liked the characters, and the world is great. Im like you…I skipped it at first because of the reviews…but months later I gave it a try and I’m always hoping one day a sequel will get announced. Def the best example of “don’t always listen to the reviews”.
Straight to the point and mentioning every important detail. Thx.
🙏
Right???
@adamscottgames I felt the same way with their Resistance and Killzone franchises. Especially with Resistance, like why TF is it taking so long to get a HD remaster collection at the very least for current consoles ??
@@7roninatthegate 100% agree! Resistance on current gen would be awesome!
Because the big money is in multiplayer games with season passes and in game purchases now, unfortunately.
The Horizon games are trash lol. They were made for 300 pound blue haired women
No other game has ever come close to the sheer panic and exhilaration you get when facing a horde. Love it! In my opinion, it was the best game of the last gen.
Amazing game great story great gameplay great soundtrack great antagonist great voice actors it’s definitely an underrated gem & deserves a sequel
Reviewers screwed this game company can’t believe I waited so long to play it. It’s great something special
Can't believe that someone would give this game a bad review. This was one of the funnest t games i've ever been part of
As I was taking down a camp two days ago, the words Syphon Filter popped into my head. Then a day later I watched this video and realized the reason.
Keep ya fingers crossed that it happens.
The games doesn’t properly get going till all the map opens up. I think the reviewers didn’t play the game till then. Classic game.
I absolutely adore this game. Played through it on PS4 and then 100% complete it on PC. So underrated, unfortunately.
I'm playing this for the 1st time ever on my PS5, I am enjoying it so damn much that I have decided to go for the platinum trophy. I cannot put this game down. 10/10 for me.
Awesome! It's a super fun platinum to get!
This game was super awesome! Finished it in 2024 on a ps5. Loved every minute, i usually take forever to finish a game, but this game had me hooked!
With all the garbage games out there, this one right here stood out.
If you do the challenges in the menu, you earn patches that appear on your cut during the story.
I never understood why the game was received so badly by many. I really enjoyed the game and the story! It’s sad that the bad critiques made a sequel difficult
I bought this game last year for PC on a Steam sale. I was hooked from the very first minute. 😎
Loved every bit of it; the story, the gameplay, the world, the characters, the missions etc etc. ❤️
