- I needed a way to check moisture in wood for processing trees into lumber - so I though I would give this meter a try

I have the same meter. I think you misread the specs. The manual says that for moisture readings below 30% the accuracy is within 2%. For example, if the moisture level reading in your wood is 10%, the true moisture level is between 9.8% and 10.2%.
For readings above 30%, accuracy is within 4%
It's much more accurate than you suggest in your video, at least per the specs.
Sounds like it might not be the best to use for hardwood flooring moisture vs. OSB subfloor moisture because they are supposed to be within 4% of each other to proceed with installation. I may have to take it back. Instructions, like you mentioned weren't the best. Didn't mention whether I had to have the probes fully imbedded or whether you held down the button to do the test. measuring is always good, the meter works ok, depending on the wood, the depth of insertion varies from light contact with the wood and 1/16 of an inch - for the flooring, I would put the flooring (out of the box and loose) and the sub flooring(not sandwiched together) in the install location for about a week to 10 days and they will be ok - Thanks for subscribing!
I had a flood in the house (Texas freeze), can I use to see if I need to remove all the carpet due to moisture?
this is intended for wood and will not work on carpet, the sensor measures the flow of electricity thru the wood to determine the moisture content of the wood - Thanks for subscribing
I came to your Utube to find instructions on how to operate this moisture meter I had purchased months ago. When you explain the different modes your camera is so far from the display and at a odd angle that I can not see the symbols of each mode. So I didn't find the information I was trying to find.

If I use a moisture meter in a car to find out if it was in a flood will it work? I know there are many ways to find out if a car is flooded but using every possible method is better for me.
I doubt that will work reliably, material is not dense like wood, also, once the carpet dried, no water to detect - thanks for subscribing!
check your state laws, in some states it required to put an 'R' after the VIN/Title number to denote 'reconstructed' - meaning the car has been totaled and then returned to service, flooded might come under that in your state - Thanks for subscribing!

I have one, it was like $10 at China freight. I use it for firewood. It does not need to be accurate at all. I just like to get an idea of the wood dryness.

What does it mean when it says OL? When reading moisture in drywall
that means it can't get a measurement between the two prongs, I'm not sure it will working drywall or not - thanks for subscribing!
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews It works for drywall, just when it read over 60% it would make that reading in that particular section of drywall
OL means over load… too high of a reading for one reason or another

How do you feel about the departure of the coupons?
they have made a few changes lately to improve profit - no paper catalogs,. removed central machinery from the %off coupons, and almost no free coupons - the one that hit me the hardest is the central machinery - the no paper catalogs was a 'keeping up with the time' move, I actually like it better for ITC, I automatically get the ITC price when I check out, no more keeping track of coupons! and there is a website hfqpdb.com that has most coupons, especially the 20% coupons - the the best site, always current and NO SPAM! but if you're not online these days, forget about coupons and knowing what's on sale...... interested in your thoughts on the new coupons
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews Well I will miss the coupons and I think a lot of people will feel the same. People may not justify getting the ITC because they may not go that often for me I’ll miss the 20% the most. I just hope they know what they’re doing because JC Pennys tried the same thing and now look at them. Another thing I think they’re getting away from what made them HarborFreight to begin with. They’re pricing themselves out of what they stood by for so long. All in all still my favorite place and I hope it’s just a faze and they do the right thing. And to add to that I think a lot of the impulse buying will be over. With all the coupons you may have not thought about a product but seeing the coupon might have changed your mind. That’s one thing I loved was the impulse buying.
@@segraves138 the 20% coupons are still available, just electronically, sign up for emails and texts for coupons and you will get the 20% with the them - also go to www.hfqpdb.com/gallery/pct and you will see the 20% coupons - they also have the 30% of for things under $10 right now, and ITC gets 30% under $20 - on a sale like that, I'll spend a lot, they just had a 25% off at the end of 2020, I stocked up - but I have a store close by
