I enjoyed your review & I am seriously thinking of getting that 75w model, they seem to go for a decent price on Ebay M/place etc. They may well be a decade or so old but you get some great sounds out of it. Cheers & best wishes to you.

I'm kind of tempted to get this. For a solid state it sounds fairly good. I'm stuck this or a jcm 900

I've got a Vypyr 30 and after low man hours I'm getting static on every strike of the string. Gets worse as it heats up. Now I have to find the receipt to get it fixed.... They're fun to play around on when they work.

The ORIGINALS are fantastic I has 2 of them. Peavey SCREWED up when they changed the amp and came out with the VYPYR VIP and the X models.

Hi, I recently bought this combo. Could someone briefly write me how to permanently save 12 of your preferred settings ? So that I don't have to set them up again every time when I turn on. Thank you in advance.

why does it say pre gain and post gain on the amp? and you did not show, can we edit the amp chosen?? like the low , mid , and high?? or are does nobs just for using the stomp box and effect?? seem very complicated for an interface omg. how does it keep the sound lol your editing 3 things with the same buttons???

if you are a bedroom bandit get the vypyr - i bought 2 marshall stacks thinking it would make me sound good and its not versatile at all - has about 2 tones, hard to set up, and too fucking loud (hurts year ears at volume 1.5 with windows rattling at 2). Sold them both and bought a vypyr for half the price of a marshall
vypy has dozens of tones - about half of them a real nice - you'll learn way more about tone and playing songs with different tones. And all at reasonable volume

My wife lost a knob, and I’m OCD with out it ! can I buy another one ?
I’ve always bought Peavey’s and had to buy a rage cuz this is super hard too set up, with my little rage is great for the garage, my 30 will vib your windows, can totally play out with it, I can’t imagine the 75, mine has sat I the corner, #1 loud! #2 hard to find your tone
But is Bad Ass! will piss the neighbor’s off !

I'd make sure your gain is turned up a bit, your guitar's volume knob is turned all the way up, your guitar has batteries if it has active pickups, etc. If you have another amp you could use to test the cable and guitar that'd be useful too.

El Psycho Kangroo ...use the power sponge. It’s an attenuator, basically.

Get rid of the Blue Marvel, throw a Celestion V30 or a G12K-85 in there and this amp comes to life!

Tubes or digital sound? Man I would know what to choose :P I own a Vypyr 75W and I must say it is a very good starter amp, even for live gigs, but in my opinion the JCM 900 blows away the Vypyr like it is just some dust :P

Swekky of course it does. The JCM is boku bucks maybe 7-800? Vypyr 75 at most $300.

@MaidenCrue92 - I tend to agree with you.. I will not say the Vypyr75 is directly bad, it's just another ordinary solidstate amp with a bunch of quite anonymous effects build in. The clean's are OK for practice use or for beginners, but once you got the feel of the guitar and which marvelous sounds it can make, then I wont recommend the Vypyr75.
Bought mine three weeks ago, and I put it already in the recycler newspaper. Gotta get a Blackstar HT5 2x10 combo instead :)

Great amp? No fucking way, got my vypyr 75w for about 4 weeks ago and I've only played with it less than 3-4 hours now its stone dead and doesn't work at all -.-
    I'm so disappointed :(

MG30FX if you are a simple guy. I tell you because I have owned every single one of them and always ended up selling them both the Mustang and Vypyr. Modelling amps try to do a lot but end up doing nothing. The Marshall has a better and more simple tone and it is a real amp not a pc with speakers. You might not get a much gain as you would want with a Marshall MG30fx but it is a way more legit tone.
