I feel like Bethesda should hire you as a voice actor with the role being a radio DJ for a future fallout game
Would be amazing to have Oxhorn as a radio dj in 76.
8-bit Rick that would be amazing
Most def, Ox's voice is great.
Definitely he has what it takes to save Bethesda but r they Worthy of him?
well since we the fans were able to get skyrim grandma into the next elder scolls game. we can get oxhorn into the next fallout game. SOMEONE MAKE PETITION PAGE THING.
The suppressed barrel on the rifle reminds me of the DeLisle carbine UK commandos used during WW2.

You're right, such a cool gun.
Nice thing to know.

Could the Concentrated Quantum be in the Cola Mixer from Nuka World DLC?
They have stated that every Creation would be independent from dlc, it won't interact.
@@Aggrobiscuit it was just a guess

@@TheTruepanther Okay, yes there are. There's 2 mods to craft Concentrated Quantum, one for after you loot the corpse with the recipe note, you gain the ability to craft Concentrated Quantum using 1 Normal Quantum to make a Concentrated Quantum (1:1), or another mod for using 2 Normal Quantums to make 1 Concentrated Quantum (2:1). Just search "Concentrated Quantum" in the mod search and they should both come up.

You know what I really hate about CC Weapons? No new animations. it looks different but feels like a regular combat rifle. no new sounds either.
You want a proper old-fashion rifle? Look no further than the Mosin Nagant on the Nexus.
What I hate about it is they realized Fallout 76 doesn’t bring enough money from micro transactions so they are screwing mods over in Fallout 4 so you are forced to buy trash from the CC
Use WarDaddys Combat Rifle Reanimation.
Not to mention stuff like "quantum radstag"
Wow, amazing. A reskin...
@@nickwash3r3 The hell you talking about?
CC content is on par with the vanilla game, just generic trash that doesn't even come close to real modded weapons. The only CC mod for which there is no proper alternative is the modular military backpack. There's some free backpack mods of course but they're all shit compared to that one.

The "-1" in accuracy is fairly common in some games to be the same as "infinite", imagine the numbers as a combination padlock, (if you go from higher to lower numbers you end up coming back to the same value you started) so, if you go down from the lowest value (1 or 0) the next number is the LARGEST possible number.

The gun looked pretty interesting but reused animations and sounds is incredibly disappointing, especially since the ones it uses were bad in the first place. Bethesda has always been bad at making satisfying guns.
shit how many guns all have the same animations? i dont know because i only use mod guns but i know its a ridiculous amount
sawyer mounce I'm pretty sure every creation club weapon has re used animations. I'd still say most of them are still pretty nice additions to the game but this one doesn't even have new sounds. I don't have a ton of fun mods but I almost never use vanilla weapons. I think Bethesda should outsource all the things they are bad at to other studios. Look at Payday 2, almost no guns use the same animations or sounds and they all look good. Plus I'm sure they aren't very busy right now
The Manwell rifle gets way better if you get the combat rifle sounds replacer from "Combat Rifle - Barrel Reskin (Including AK47 Sound)", makes the rifle sound amazing and it fits really well.

Something I've recently discovered working with firearms is that while disorientating at first, having the bolt on the leftt hand side of the weapon can have advantages outside of the aesthetic realm. One basic and comfortable one is that for a semi automatic rifle, like the combat or manwell, your trigger hand never has to move when reloading. A popular feature with the Israeli Galil. But for a bolt action rifle like the Hunting Rifle I totally agree about the odd reverse for the bolt on THOSE weapons Ox, thanks for the video, fantastic as always!
Being on the wrong side - wouldn't it be possible for the bolt to hit you in the face when it snaps back? Seems kind of dangerous...
Alright I'm gonna say this as I'm a Lefty for me I personally like using right-handed bolt-actions as it's not only cheaper but I can fire faster while using right-handed rifles.
14:50 It's supposed to be an Ace of Clubs, an Ace of Spades, an 8 of Clubs, and an 8 of Spades. This is two Aces and two 8's of the same respective suits, which is impossible in poker
Thanks for writing a more detailed comment than I could, about the fact that also struck me as odd.
why is that impossible?
21:10
You were talking about manuals rifle firing from one side and chambering it on the other side the Cx4 Storm you can change both of those actions by simply taking aparts the slide and the porch cover to have an eject from the left or the right and you can also switch the charging handle right or left as well
I added the Manwell weapons to my minuteman-level list (along with the CR-74L but that's for later) the Manwell set just fits so well for minuteman and makes them stronger without making them a bootleg BOS with laser and plasma weapons
They really outdid themselves with that rifle design and the epic mission chain(I mean an quantum stag, just brilliant!). I especially like, that they copied the Combat Rifles sound and basic upgrades/modifications, shows the quality, effort and ingenuity used to create this wonderful "Mini-DLC"(quality control is paramount at Bethesda). This really is a must have item for the price(so worth it!). Thank God, Bethesda went along and implemented the "Creation Club". It has brought so much joy and value to the Fallout 4 universe!(brain explodes!)
*Thank you for showing and informing us about this item/mission Oxhorn.
The sarcasm is strong with this one
Mad how weapon mods aren't even given new animations.
Animations designs are a different beast from weapon designs which is why a lot weapons with custom animations are actually using ones from a small set creators. So when the mods are going the CC and the creators are getting paid they can't use another creators work. If Bethesda could bring on one or more of these creators so their animations could be used it'd be cool, but then there's be the issue of whether the payment had to be split between the weapon creator and the animation creator and the fact these animations are available for free elsewhere.
There are a few rifles with reciprocating charging handles on the left side (most are actually swappable) such as the Bushmaster ACR, FNH SCAR, CZ Bren 805 and also manually charged AR rifles.
And one more thing oxhorn there are how many combat rifles that do have the charging handle on the left side and still eject out the right side and there are many rifles out there that do have the ability to change the charging handle to whichever side you want it to be on so again a charging handle for a bolt for any kind of semi-automatic rifle except for the AR of course can have a charging handle on the left side of gun and still eject out the right side without the bullet having to pass through the receiver
Well this is a perfect Father's day quest. Happy Father's Day, "Pop-Pop" Oxhorn!
You can rotate the camera holding a weapon, hold F (button to switch 1st and 3rd person), and rotate the camera with a mouse...
This was one of the handful of mods on the Creation Club that I considered worth picking up, and I must say that I’m impressed...although I’ve found the rifle and carbine to both be less accurate than one might think.
That said, there’s one more selling point to this mod that was overlooked: the Manwell Rifle’s suppressed barrel requires NO perks to craft, at all, on thop of it using relatively plentiful ammunition AND being semi-auto by default, and the quest is pretty easy (being right up at the north of the map, and if you’re sneaky you can grab the Rifle without ever having to kill anything). Once you have the materials, which you can get by scrapping stuff in Sanctuary and perhaps grabbing some stuff lying around Concord, you can have a suppressed sniper rifle theoretically by the time you hit level 2 or 3, and a very good one at that. This makes early game stealth a LOT more bearable than it would be otherwise.
I picked this up during a replay last week. And even after the quest (and totally loving the carbine) I really enjoyed this video! Love your storytelling
Your lore videos really help me through some rough times Ox.. keep being you, never change.

I think the "-1" in range stand for infinte. It's often used in engines for infinte or a crazy high number. So you could shot from the glowing see to Far Harbor, in theorie. With no loading bay.
21:06 Please note that guns with right side ejecting with the charging handle being on the left side do exist like the IWI ACE Assault Rifle which has the charging handle on the leftside but ejects rounds on the right side
It looks like this
In my Fallout 4 playthrough, I decided to feed it Quantum. Then I sent him to Abernathy Farm, his new home.
I’ve just done the exact same thing lol
Im pretty sure the suppressed barrel for the rifle is a nod to the British De Lisel carbine fron ww2 it had the look of the Lee Enfield rifle but it used Colt 1911 magazine's and had a full suppressed barrel.

Happy Father’s Day Ox and to all the fathers in the community !
>can't craft the concentrated Quantum
Absolute garbage
You should’ve been able to to make the quantum, poor it in the lake and be able to send a stag there and when they come back or you go to them they’re a quantum stag
Beautiful looking rifles and a pretty sweet quest to go with it. I wish the food with it looked different because it would be great for decorating settlements
The house where this quest begins usually has a random encounter (super mutants, raiders, etc.). Don't be surprised if you have to fight someone or something before you start the quest.
I saw DiscoGnome show off the Wildey magnum similar to the gun from Death Wish 3.
i tried this yesterday and it was meh for me. rifles look pretty decent but basically they are re skinned combat rifles using .308. the concentrated quantum should have been craftable. i tried both endings and keeping the stag seemed like the right one for me. A for effort but C for execution
QuietWolfFallout What would have been better is if the rifle could be turned from a Bolt Action into a Semi-Auto.
It would definitely make it unique. Oh and I have no clue why Bethesda refuses to add unique reloading animations. Most modders could easily make some with the resources they are handed. It’s like Bethesda wants everything to stay at mediocre quality.
@@AttakusZakus They probably don't want to introduce more bugs to the game so they want to keep stuff as vanilla as possible.

Ah, the Mondragón, such fond memories from a different FPS.
I purchased this creation for my husband and I, and these are now our new favourite guns! And we both love Mr Quantum Radstag who is happy in his new home at the Abernathy farm.
Uh I've actually lived in outpost zimonji for a few weeks irl and i've done a lot of patrolling and hunting around the area. That teddy bear, picture frame, and handcuffs can all be found in that building. Maybe not in in that assortment although I'm almost sure you could. Those mirelurks are also just their own thing. They'll spawn there regardless. I even remember that "young hunter's" camp and I'm almost certain that that assortment is the exact same regardless, but I don't remember the body having that kind of outfit. One last thing the carbine looks a lot larger than the rifle at least in the demonstration you showed.
I wonder why you've never asked the community to improve the look of your characters. Some are very talented.

It's a nice rifle set, I had the same complaint about sound and Ani. Whish the quest was a bit longer but over all a good purchase. As for the stag I fed him and sent him on to ten pines bluff where he"s doing well
The unique compensator looks kind of like a Cutts and the suppressors a Maxim style offset and a delisle style integral silencer. Very funky the Momdragon does suit the universe for sure.
The left handed bolts don't bother me there are left handed bolt actions, the hunting rifle is a rem700 and thats fairly common in left handed. The bolt of this wouldn't necessarily be a problem being left bolt and right eject either.
I think Wardaddy is gonna have some fun making some custom animations for this.
Better be a spaghetti reload
Use his Combat Rifle reanimation. This rifle is liturally just a remesh and retexture of the Combat Rifle. Same animations and same firing sound. You can also use sound mods for the Combat Rifle which influences this aswell.
Did anyone else notice that the Manwell rifle has the same animation as the automatic rifle you get in Nuka world
I wasn't aware of the Dead Man's Hand tale. You learn something new everyday! Thank you Oxhorn
Regarding the left handed bolt issue it could very well be like the real life mp5 were it cocks in the front left and then ejects on the receiver right hand side and they could be makeing something like that but idk if it was shown to have an opening but that could help explain the left cocking and the right ejecting (I may have spelt cocking wrong and I'm sorry if it's not pg or wrong)

Dear Oxhorn,
I noted your left handed receiver shell ejection issue, like most rifles of its nature such as the Springfield 1903, the bolt can eject in various directions depending on the preference of the weapon smith. With the Manwell Rifle likely copies the 1903's style of vertical ejection which, if we give the Creation Club maker a bit of slack, could be explained away by wind moving the shell casing. In game however, it does quite clearly move to the right for no real reason.
- Love the Videos keep "fighting the good fight"
Thanks for the detailed review, as always Ox!
The word man definitely deserves to be in that gun name.
A very curious contrapion. On the carbine, the trigger guard looks like the lever on Martini rifles, while the bolt, barrel and iron sights resemble the Mle1886 Lebel. The rifle seems like a combination of Mle1874 Gras and Mle1907 Berthier. The mod author was certainly influenced by historic French firearms.
Double lucky legendary - both the normal Lucky that does faster and better crits and the other Lucky that we see on the Far Harbor end game rifle where the gun gives you +2 Luck. For a Luck based crit-sniper build this could be a great gun (that you can get very early in the game).
Considering that Luck armor doesn't split bonuses, you can get +10 rather than +5/+5 to two stats. There is also a ballistic armor Luck hat. 24+ luck is going to have you building a crit in two shots - and with full crit perks you will pretty much never run out of never miss head shots.
They made them left handed because Bethesda doesn’t know anything about guns.
Fucking A right! It bothers me to no end that i CAN install a K98Az/k98K/G98... But ALL the bolts and side slings are wrong

I agree with the problem of the bolt & shell ejection. I actually found an AK mod that had the bolt receiver on the right side & had an animation where your left hand reaches over the rifle to pull the bolt back. Love that rifle mod.
Sadly I can't remember the name of the mod or author.
Once again, a job well done Ox.👍
People can say what they want about the creation club but at least it gives people more content now and then to play with. 5 bucks here and there isn't too bad
Seems close to the Huot rifle. Or the 'Automatic Ross Rifle'. The prototype. The Huot was made for the Canadian expeditionary forces in WW1. It's subsequent experimental designs into ww2 like the carbine version and the t65 are eerily close to these mashups. Also, the quest is really close to the tomacuzi mod quest that uses the same shack location and rad-stag hunting to obtain a weapon.
Interesting how the rifle uses a combination of parts from the Mosin Nagant and Spencer Repeating rifles. And the big suppressor from the De Lisle carbine. Looks good, just wished there was a trigger on the model.
The manwell rifle is Gun enthusiasm friendly.
Long barrel = Rifle
Short barrel = Carbine
Most game didn't care about such detail. It's nice to see it here.
Calm urself if literally one word
Ive been waiting for this vid all week, finally!
yes
Scope looks like a 1903 Springfield scope (length and “ring” mounting)
Stock has a mosin like sling mount, as well as the scalloped hand grip and cross bolt. The rear of the action has the same rounded safety/ cocking action of a Mosin too.
The rounded magazine well reminds me of the French Berthier rifle flipped backwards
The trigger guard and tang look to be sharps carbine inspired
The barrel made me think of a Martini-Henry
And that “step” in the foregrip looks like the carbine version of the lugar.
The drum magazine kind of look like the mg42 drum/ belt holder
Definitely some actual firearms inspiration in the model, too bad it’s just a reskinned combat rifle
The bolt handle position has nothing to do with how empty casings eject. That is managed by the extractor. The extractor could be in a position to where it ejects the casings out the right. However, on most bolt style rifles of such, casings will generally eject straight up.
