I'd steal these seats for a golf as well the gti and golf r should have had seats like these. And you're right you can't beat the warranty
Would appreciate a video on why you chose sxth over lap3 for the tune. Trying to learn which is better. Is there a stage 2 SXTH? Lap3 has achieved 400hp.
Did you keep the bracing piece in the trunk out or put it back in for track? Does it make a noticeable difference? Also does the tune void the warranty? Thanks!
This video is old but I have to say I own a mk5 jetta and an en and I find it really cool that those are both in your driveway too lol also that circle on the left of the gauge cluster is where the drive mode button is on the n-line
Always appreciate your vids. Nice seeing you go for a drive, take the back roads and smile while giving your input. I would ask two questions: 1) Are you street driving in N Mode or N custom mode with some different tune settings? 2) You talked about Hyundai's Warranty. With the mods you done, how confident are you that they wont void warranty because you added mods to the car. While reading the warranty section, it suggests warranty can be voided if any mods are done and I'm sure Hyundai will make claims that the reason for any failure will be directed to the mods, etc. Perhaps you can talk about that a bit during your next vid or just your initial thoughts on that.
Hyundai's warranty is very specific, you can modify your car, but warranty will not cover non OEM parts that are damaged, and if an OEM part (stock block for example) is damaged and the damage can be found as a result of modifying, your warranty is voided) Like Paul said above, you can swap ECU's with ease (only takes about 15 minutes max) and bring your car to the dealership, but if you plan on putting on power, get a better turbo (the elantra N turbo) and swap the rods in the motor to BC's Forged rods which can handle boost better than stock.
That circle thing next to the digital gauge cluster is actually just a left over piece from the lower model cars. In the N-Line model that circle is actually a drive mode button you press to change it to sport, comfort etc. But in the N Performance cars they don’t need it as they have a N steering wheel button. Hope that helps
Nice car, love almost everything about it. We were on the market with my son for his first sporty/everyday car, but in the end we bought the 2022 MK8 Gti "S" with DSG in King's Red. Amazing vehicle....wish VW did not ship the car with retarded ALL season tires. It neuters the GTi big time. Put quality track tires and it handles/ accelerates like nobody's business.
does tuning it make it unreliable at all or will it not affect that? Looking into the elantra n as a daily with a lil bit of speed and wanna add more eventually with the tune
veloster is still my pick, even though the elantra has the nicer interior and slightly larger turbo. i just like smaller vehicles and prefer a hatch to a trunk. 300whp though, nice!
Keep in mind there's no such thing as a blanket "voided" warranty. But yes, there's a good chance that a tune could result in a denied warranty claim. If you're worried about warranty claims, best play it safe and stay stock.
Do you have a concern regarding the increased power on the transmission? I have the DCT and this is the only thing holding me back purchasing the tune.
Nobody really knows. It's too new to really understand what a tune does. It's got the same engine as the veloster that has been tuned before but the turbo is bigger so not exactly the same. I may tune mine after a couple years. That warranty is so good to lose tho...
The DCT can handle more than the Manual to most people's knowledge. In the arizona scene we have 2 veloster N's pushing large power 1 on e35 with an Elantra N turbo, full bolt-ons, and a Sleeved motor, the trans has no issues and another on e85 with a larger turbo pushing close to 440 (fully built block) with the stock transmission, no grind, no gear lockouts, everything is fine The DCT is predicted to be able to handle 650 or so, which is unnecessary on this platform because after 400hp the car honestly becomes a torque steer problem and the drivability is horribly reduced. Keep it around 330-350
@@LmaoZeroGN wow dude, finally the response I wanted to hear. You just sold me, thank you! I’m just getting stage 1 from Sxth, only thing holding me back was the effects on the 8 speed DCT so this is what I wanted to hear.
For street driving only? Honestly no. Michelin P4S's and ContiExtreme Contact Sports are a much better street tire. That being said, they are both pretty slow on track and the Michelins like to disintegrate during light track use. So if you're looking for a dual duty tire with an emphasis on track, the RT660's are a great option.
As a Velo N owner the only issue Ive seen with SXTH element is they do this very foolish thing where they tune the electronic throttle to go full 100% when you're only pressing the pedal at 30%, it makes daily driving substantially worse for most people (I have 3 other friends with Velo N's who all have shared the same sentiment) SXTH refuses to acknowledge that it's their doing, and they say "all N's act like this stock" (newsflash, they don't) If you do tune, dont cheap out with a JB4, go straight to LAP3 who has a much more all around driveable tune. If you do have a Veloster N and you do plan on getting power, get the Turbo from the Elantra N as it's a substantially better build with higher boost yield, power output, and is less likely to shatter like the fragile turbo that comes stock. I've tracked 3 times so far with my veloster N, and honestly stock it doesn't need much more, but for power, get the elantra N turbo, don't bother with the stock turbo as it's too problematic. Thanks for reading this if you did and hopefully I helped someone out. (BTW, velo N has the same seats for 2021/2022, and the same crackles and pops)
How many people have had this issue? I’ve had 7-8 different tune revisions from SXTH and all of them have cleaned up the slop in the stock throttle table 🤔
There is no "throttle map" that does this. We don't change the throttle mapping at all actually, just torque requests 😁 The throttle position at 30% throttle would be....30% throttle.
I drove both EN & KN. The EN is more refine. The KN & VN are more hard-core track machines. Try it it and you will see what I mean. That made me pick the KN over the EN.
It would be nice to rip on a car and not have to worry about breaking something like the transmission (my 02 bugeye is pushing 300whp and the 5 speeds don't really like that much power lol)
I feel ya my sisters N order came in before mine did now I’m thinking of canceling my N since she already has one kinda thinking gr Corolla if it does exist
These are my street/light track set. I have another set of 18x9.5's that I keep for competition use. But yeah, I daily these wheels and swap on the OE for storage in the winter (I have another winter car).
How to make it pop and bang like dct. Dct pops a little longer than manual. I want manual with pops like dct, is it the fuel rating or what is it even? That dct pops better than manual being the same car same engine. Why is that?
Yes that's what I'm saying. I really want to do that in manual if that's possible with high octane fuel or any other setting. I love 6mt..but i want dct pops in 6mt haha

I have a veloster N. If you swap an elantra N turbo onto a VN you can get an easy 350+ hp. Of course heat exchangers would need an upgrade.
Every car should look and sound this food!
Did you keep the bracing piece in the trunk out or put it back in for track? Does it make a noticeable difference? Also does the tune void the warranty? Thanks!
I love the wheels you chose. Makes the car look so good! 😽
4:20 that is used as a drive mode button and the Elantra N Line but I guess they decided to not use it on the N
Great videos on your EN! One quick question about the tune. Has it affected the fuel economy? Have you guys tracked that at all?
Really great video...thanks for posting. Super informative and well explained.
Does the 10 year warranty void if the stock tune is flashed?
Great vid! And yep, its also a hot hatch - I have the i30N hatch with the DCT.
This video is old but I have to say I own a mk5 jetta and an en and I find it really cool that those are both in your driveway too lol also that circle on the left of the gauge cluster is where the drive mode button is on the n-line
Keep the content coming 💯💯🏎🏎🏎
Always appreciate your vids. Nice seeing you go for a drive, take the back roads and smile while giving your input. I would ask two questions:
1) Are you street driving in N Mode or N custom mode with some different tune settings?
2) You talked about Hyundai's Warranty. With the mods you done, how confident are you that they wont void warranty because you added mods to the car. While reading the warranty section, it suggests warranty can be voided if any mods are done and I'm sure Hyundai will make claims that the reason for any failure will be directed to the mods, etc. Perhaps you can talk about that a bit during your next vid or just your initial thoughts on that.
He Voided warranty just making this video.
@@myshootingstarvn5037 the SXTH tune comes on a new ECU. You can swap your stock ECU back in and it should be mostly undetectable by the dealership.
Hyundai's warranty is very specific, you can modify your car, but warranty will not cover non OEM parts that are damaged, and if an OEM part (stock block for example) is damaged and the damage can be found as a result of modifying, your warranty is voided)
Like Paul said above, you can swap ECU's with ease (only takes about 15 minutes max) and bring your car to the dealership, but if you plan on putting on power, get a better turbo (the elantra N turbo) and swap the rods in the motor to BC's Forged rods which can handle boost better than stock.
what gas do you run it the N cuz the website for the ecu says premium is required
Good stuff I ordered 2023 white Elantra N been waiting for a month in a half can't wait to get it and the goal is 400 wheel and it is possible
Did you need to put in 5w-40 oil?
What do you think about the sonata nline?
Do the N cars get the same warranty’s as any other car ?
Nice car, love almost everything about it. We were on the market with my son for his first sporty/everyday car, but in the end we bought the 2022 MK8 Gti "S" with DSG in King's Red. Amazing vehicle....wish VW did not ship the car with retarded ALL season tires. It neuters the GTi big time. Put quality track tires and it handles/ accelerates like nobody's business.
Totally Worth the money
Every time I look down I'm doing 150 kmph. Its ridiculous how easy it is to drive
Does the Stage 1 tune void the warranty?
Should compare side by side a built Elantra N to a discontinued built accord 2.0t.
Why not Lap3 for the tune? Just wondering...
It's around 2x as expensive and they do not have a method for custom e-tuning and easy map switching.
@@williamrori1274 Gotcha hope she holds up!
does tuning it make it unreliable at all or will it not affect that? Looking into the elantra n as a daily with a lil bit of speed and wanna add more eventually with the tune
veloster is still my pick, even though the elantra has the nicer interior and slightly larger turbo. i just like smaller vehicles and prefer a hatch to a trunk. 300whp though, nice!
The white circle with dash mark in it is a a red push button for drive mode in the N-Line models
Hi, where can i contact you about the product sponsorship?
Im guessing the tune voided out the warranty?? If not that is totally kick arse
That warranty is so good to lose tho...
the wet dct will take it all day
Bierman has stayed publicly in interviews that the transmission was overbuilt to be durable
The DCT can handle more than the Manual to most people's knowledge. In the arizona scene we have 2 veloster N's pushing large power
1 on e35 with an Elantra N turbo, full bolt-ons, and a Sleeved motor, the trans has no issues
and another on e85 with a larger turbo pushing close to 440 (fully built block) with the stock transmission, no grind, no gear lockouts, everything is fine
The DCT is predicted to be able to handle 650 or so, which is unnecessary on this platform because after 400hp the car honestly becomes a torque steer problem and the drivability is horribly reduced. Keep it around 330-350
@@LmaoZeroGN wow dude, finally the response I wanted to hear. You just sold me, thank you!
I’m just getting stage 1 from Sxth, only thing holding me back was the effects on the 8 speed DCT so this is what I wanted to hear.
For daily driving RT660 would you recommend them any time?
For street driving only? Honestly no. Michelin P4S's and ContiExtreme Contact Sports are a much better street tire. That being said, they are both pretty slow on track and the Michelins like to disintegrate during light track use. So if you're looking for a dual duty tire with an emphasis on track, the RT660's are a great option.
@@williamrori1274 I appreciate your feedback, thank you
1/4 mile time with this one tuned?
As a Velo N owner the only issue Ive seen with SXTH element is they do this very foolish thing where they tune the electronic throttle to go full 100% when you're only pressing the pedal at 30%, it makes daily driving substantially worse for most people (I have 3 other friends with Velo N's who all have shared the same sentiment)
SXTH refuses to acknowledge that it's their doing, and they say "all N's act like this stock" (newsflash, they don't)
If you do tune, dont cheap out with a JB4, go straight to LAP3 who has a much more all around driveable tune.
@@BurningPhyr i know 3 people personally in our car group locally who have had the same issue
There is no "throttle map" that does this. We don't change the throttle mapping at all actually, just torque requests 😁 The throttle position at 30% throttle would be....30% throttle.
Are those tires good for daily driving or should I just leave the stock ones on if I get one or do you recommend some?
Do you do any tracking? If not, go with a good summer tire like the P4S or Conti ExtremeContact Sports.
I drove both EN & KN. The EN is more refine. The KN & VN are more hard-core track machines.
Try it it and you will see what I mean.
That made me pick the KN over the EN.
Are you getting the new SXTH Element CPLT intake for your EN🤔
Yep + turbo Inlet
@@williamrori1274 wait I thought the intake comes with a new turbo inlet🤔
@@klasseact6663 So it looks like you can buy them separately. It won't work without an adapter though
@@williamrori1274 it looks like the $400 asking price is for everything🤔
Upon further review the SXTH Element CPTL intake is $400 and turbo inlet pipe is another $219.
It would be nice to rip on a car and not have to worry about breaking something like the transmission (my 02 bugeye is pushing 300whp and the 5 speeds don't really like that much power lol)
I feel ya my sisters N order came in before mine did now I’m thinking of canceling my N since she already has one kinda thinking gr Corolla if it does exist
are those tires/wheels you are running fine for daily driving? or do you have another set
These are my street/light track set. I have another set of 18x9.5's that I keep for competition use. But yeah, I daily these wheels and swap on the OE for storage in the winter (I have another winter car).
If you want a SXTH Element Coupon code for 5% off feel free - PATTYBOI
I get that it has lane centering but does it have radar adaptive cruise control?
Not in the US :( But the lane centering is excellent.
@@williamrori1274 oof might have to go DCT then
@@thisisntsergio1352 DCT doesn't have it either haha
@@williamrori1274 Vader: NOOOOOoooooOoooooooOooooooOOOO
Has the mileage changed any
Like the gas mileage? No, there hasn't been a noticeable difference in fuel economy.
are you getting air intake and down pipe done?
Never video on the intake just went live actually!
@@pattyboi haha awesome, you're a step ahead. I can't wait man. Keep it up!
Which mode do you usually drive on?
Literally always my custom N mode - Lightest steering, softest damping, max exhaust and engine, all ECS and TCS off.
Best car ever..
I wish they made this car in a coupe, then I would be all over this.
Cough cough Hyundai genesis coupe
Veloster n has shorter wheel base, i would prefer the vn over the en
That’s right baby save the manuals
It does sound nice!
팝콘 사운드가 정말 일품입니다 ㅋㅋㅋ 한국인인게 자랑스럽네요~ 그래도 되죠?!
How to make it pop and bang like dct. Dct pops a little longer than manual. I want manual with pops like dct, is it the fuel rating or what is it even? That dct pops better than manual being the same car same engine. Why is that?
The DCT pops are more quiet than the manual, by a really good amount. Not sure what you mean.
@@williamrori1274 have not heard in person , but dct definitely pops a second longer than manual after blipping. Idk why is that.
Yes that's what I'm saying. I really want to do that in manual if that's possible with high octane fuel or any other setting. I love 6mt..but i want dct pops in 6mt haha
I wish there was a CARB legal tune for this car. It won't run over 15 lbs. of boost on 91 octane.
Have you done the octane learning? Should hit 18 or so on 91. My Kona N does
@@robertyoung3111 It only works occasionally.
Makes me wanna sell my Infiniti for one but I love the vq if I ever get a 2nd car this one will be my daily for sure
Need them to bring the i20 N here to murica
No 60/40 split no rear seat vents and that odd useless circle spot on front dash display are definitely glaring minuses
the circle is silly but great spot for a phone mount, or the EK1 from sxth like he mentioned he would be getting
what would win? 3.8 genesis coupe (348hp) or the elantra N? someone needs to test this out
N walks away
I used to own 2016 hyundai genesis coupe 3.8 beautiful car, sounds great but stock vs stock Elantra N will annihilate the Genny.
I'd love to see this vehicle race a IS350. Since they both have a 300 horses
Theres a video on yt on this the EN pulls away
