Oh, man. I grew up on Ace Combat 6. I even bought a custom vinyl of its soundtrack! Unlike you, I can't play music, but I swear that this track is so engrained in my brain and so badass that I could probably play it from memory! Oh, and a quick little edit from me here; I'd also suggest Boiling Point and Weapons Of Mass Destruction from this game, too. They're both really good tracks! Super tense! By the way, I just realized as I was re-watching your video, but that version you listened to is covered by a man named Licas Riciotti. He's kind of famous in the Ace Combat community for his super awesome covers.
If you felt this one emotional, please have a listen to "Ace Combat 7: Daredevil" The music even have a cool story: the game was already finished, but the devs halted the release because they felt they needed a very emotional music for the last battle. Then, they asked the composer to make 'the best music he could make for this final mission'. He just replied 'ok' and went for it. The game was postponed even longer so they could sync the dialogues and missions status to sync with the music. It is simply AMAZING to be on game when it plays. Trully an experience.
This track is definitely one of the most triumphant victory tracks in the Ace Combat series. If you want to hear something VERY different from Ace Combat, check out the track for the very next level, Chandelier (Keiki Kobayashi, AC6). (Spoiler: it's sung entirely by a boys choir with no instrumentals.) If you want to check out some AC songs with fun and wacky time signatures, check out Blockade (Keiki Kobayashi, AC04, his first appearance as a composer in the series!), 444 (Mitsuhiro Kitadani, AC7), or Archange (Keiki Kobayashi, AC7). All tracks with odd time signatures, but for very different reasons.
