I guess my ultimate point is that 'rich' and 'poor' people are diverse and have loads of different interests and ways they prefer to dress (or spend their money). I think there is disproportionate focus on 'poor' people buying luxury when the majority of these people are simply trying to make enough for essentials.I am not saying that 'poor' people don't buy luxury or couldn't be making better financial decisions but the massive inequalities in wealth distribution are not because a section of 'poor' people are running up a credit card on LV 😭 If I had questions (or judgements) for anyone , the first would be that top 1-2% 😏 Anyhoo, hope you guys enjoy the video! Here i s my video on luxury dying :th-cam.com/video/cusBM9xmlgo/w-d-xo.html

First of all, luxury is for the rich! Second of all, "poor" people or middle income groups started to gain more money from their work and started to not be able to buy a house because of inflation. All the money that people would spend on a house go now to luxury items!!! Third of all, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Versace, Prada and all of the very well known brands was always for the aristocracy, royalty and upper rich classes, but this type of classes choose to buy in this modern era, items of brands that do not show their brand names, because rich people don´t want to dress equal to the masses! In the past it was the opposite. Rich people used these brands' logos to stand out from the poor, but nowadays there has been a change with the greater purchasing power of the working classes. So the richest managed to be more discreet, but they didn't change their consumption habits, as they continue to be equally expensive! And poor people who discuss these things about what rich people buy and what poor people buy forget that people who work in the fashion sector and who have a lot of money actually wear these things because they like them, because they want to stand out and because They like quality and art. Just like many rich people buy these things because they like quality and art. Fashion has always been expensive and it has always been for those who have money. It's a lie that luxury fashion is for the poor, because that wouldn't make any sense anywhere in the world. And if some poor person has luxury bags or clothes, they are most likely counterfeit, not original! I hope this can be declared once and for all, this confusion among the poor that wearing luxury is for the poor and that the rich do not consume luxury.

My grandmother was rich. Heck a lot of her siblings were rich as hell. Guess what. They wore whatever they wanted. Labels and Goodwill 😆. I learned from them that true rich people, wealthy people, don’t care about what everyone thinks. That’s true wealth.

Grandparents had tailored clothes and could not care less about brands they had trends in their own circles and would ask their tailor to replicate or upstage the other tailor ❤those generic cheap new rich brand are just sad. I loved the sophistication and style of the clothes made in the past grandma even got me tailored bedding for my wedding

@chidemisee Thank you for sharing. My experience differ from yours, I found that your appearance and your personality is very important. With your appearance you show respect to others, while your personality determines who you are. Regretfully it is significant difference between wealth and ill gotten wealth, people in the second category could be very dangerous and must be avoided. More than one occasions while I been introduced to some people at a fund raising or other invitation only event, I felt ill to the extent that I had to excuse myself and walk away. The wonderful principal of Glamorgan school reminded us at every speaking occasion to be careful and that we must all listen to our inner voice before accepting invitations from anybody (top 1%) to go to somebody's house, Holliday house, e.t.c. as it could be very dangerous.

@TajaMay I know that the multimillionaires around me don't buy the designer stuff. They spend stupid money on experiences. Like 1000 dollar per night hotels, but they don't post about it. We show off status buty giving good tips and paying the bill for the whole table. I come from another culture, so it might differ.

Thank you for sharing. I love Chanel for it's understated elegance. I would not carry a Loui Vuitton easily recognisable bag. Thinking about it, I can not recall seeing anybody carrying an obvious logo "flashing" bag or wearing obvious logo "flashing" clothes on the street, shops or in the restaurants in and along Toorak Village. We also shop on High Street, Armadale and also in Malvern Central (Melbourne, Australia) and I find the same there as in Toorak Village. My families history of significance in several countries going back to over 1 thousand years and I have been thought repeatedly the importance of money/investing and wealth building, to wear high quality, very clean shoes and perfectly ironed clothes, be considerate, kind, helpful, humble, while being savvy and protect myself. As my Countess great ant repeatedly told me, money/investment/wealth comes first before thinks.

Wealth is obtaining things that most people cannot. Brands like LV, GUCCI, coach etc. are easily accessible to any person….a person that works minimum wage can save their money and buy one. A wealthy person does not want to be seen with the same shoes or hang bangs an average person can obtain. They want uniqueness and quality. But for the “new money” people……we gonna buy whatever because WE CAN! 😂 If you like it and you can buy it…..then buy it 🤷‍♀️

It highly likely that rich women wear fakes. I know they do because I went to Thailand with them. Why buy a bag when you can buy a home that makes you passive income? They do not have the motivation.

Then there’s me who went back from Asia after buying high quality dupes (I don’t have designer bags or much handbag at all, I just bought 2 dupes because I happen to like the style and I need some “adult” bags to use everyday with no issue if it broke or not😅). I didn’t buy ones with many logos and they are both black, specifically Prada and Chanel. The logo on the latter is huge but it’s a simple black bag so not too noticeable. I find most luxury bags gaudy especially LV, so I often don’t waste time buying the real luxury bags. Some like Prada I heard, had been having bad quality items so the Prada dupe for me is a win 😂. The only ones that I might get someday is just 1 from Coach and 1 from Kate Spade. If I get a chance to have more pants with huge pockets I’ll take that. The fancy bag dupes are more for formal stuff like job interviews or if it looks cute for a casual night out lmao. It mind boggles me why anyone would be willing spend months rent on luxury bags in this economy. If you can afford them great but if not, there are alternatives and there are better quality bags that are not even branded luxury bags, it just has to look classy and unique.
