    Thanks Andy. Just purchased my first Automatic watch and your video has helped me understand winders. I’m off to buy a Mozsly 👍🏻

    Another great video, thank you. I have 4x Mozsly watch winder and leave them spinning on the slowest setting locked away in the safe and find the AA batteries last a long time.

    Wolf winders are beautifully built but far too expensive for the purpose they perform IMO. I have three matching brown-leatherette Mozslys that have been mains operating for 2 years without any problems. They sit in my home office in a neat pyramid and maintain my collection that gets swapped around regularly. If set at 650 TPD they simply maintain a modern watch's existing power reserve and not over wind the movement. Some movements require more turns per day but it's easy to Google this info.
    One observation Andy - your videos as always are great but recently the sound volume seems very low to my ears.

      Thanks Andy. I’ll check on the sound front. I’m still getting used to the new microphone. Glad to hear your winders are still good after 2 years.

    Great video Andy. Never used a watch winder but very tempted, especially with display factor.

    I had one as a freebie from Berry's a while back too. I gave it away as a gift to a friend, as I'm jot a fan of winders. Still, each to their own, but some great solid sound advice there my friend

    I use a G Shock for work. Garmin for the gym. I use a Wolf watch winder to keep my watch in as it only gets worn at the weekend. For me, it’s a necessity. And looks awesome on my desk 🥹

    I like them for decorative purposes, and it helps you keep things in rotation and not sitting in the roll or box :)

    Andy JLC don't recommend using a winder I have taken a chance using a wolf with my JLC master control calendar moonphase. Fingers crossed. Cheers.

      It’ll be fine. It’s got an 8 year warranty anyway. I don’t keep it in all the time.

    My Wolf Cub has been working a treat since 2020. Solid as a rock. I do have a double one by Heiden which I can’t complain about either. But I think I might give that Mozsly a try. I like having a lot of my automatics ready to go when I want and I do have a little “watch corner” in the bedroom and yes, they are like tiny little art installations aren’t they ? How long have you had that new one running ? The problem one hears about less expensive ones is that they die prematurely

      It’s only been with me a few weeks. I’ll keep it running to test its longevity.

    I'm quite glad asked for the gin and wolf roll instead of the Berry winder. That thing is, umm, quite large.

    Hi Andy I bought 2 double watch winders on Amazon. Now they were not as good as wolf watch winder but they did the job. They can be a bit noisy as they are not high end. They last about a year and a half before they stop working. And I just purchase new ones. I believe they were in the region of about £90 each. Probably got through about 6. Anyway was looking at getting wolf. But owning 6 Rolex watches was going to cost a fair chunk of change for the wolf watch winder. Like £1500 if I got it on a deal. Anyway what really annoyed me was people would come in and be very interested and curious about these cheap Amazon watch winder. But they did not care to mention the 6 Rolex watches spinning around😂. Obviously have no idea on watches. So I spoke to my local AD and he told me a watch winder does not actually wind the Watch up it just keeps it running ? Do you no anything on this. Anyway in the end I bought a high end watch Roll and all watches look great inside. And each morning I will manually wind them. It does not take long I have got into a routine. And I can also see each morning the hard work I have had to put in to buying these watches. And what I need to work for the next watch. But I do believe a watch needs to be running not sitting in a safe and being wound up when warn every now again.

    • @TheEnglishWatch
      @TheEnglishWatch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It must be quite the ritual winding your watches every day. Sounds like you’ll quickly make up the £1500 if the cheap ones aren’t lasting.
      Regards the AD comments. They’re neither right or wrong. The amount your watch is wound will depend on the number of turns per day and how much it was wound when it was put in. It can’t be good to keep the watch fully wound all the time, so allowing time to unwind is key.

    Good morning. What do you think of the SwissKubik?. Do they spin at 950 rpm?

    • @TheEnglishWatch
      @TheEnglishWatch  ปีที่แล้ว

      They look interesting and should be good for the price they charge. They advertise 950 turns per day.

    • @TheEnglishWatch
