I've had other BPM baits th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

Jerkbaits never let me down. But for river smallies especially in the spring I like soft jerkbaits like the 4in zoom fluke. I've caught entire schools of bass on them. In the fall I also like small walking baits and poppers I can walk.
I'll put my smallmouth bait up against anyone's anytime !! Mine is called (self named) "Private Reserve" and it is far and away the single best bait I have ever, ever, ever used. PERIOD !! That statement is backed up by about 10 of my friends who were skeptical, but became believers. Private Reserve rules !
Yep I've caught more big smallies on the whopper plopper than any other bait. Start fishing even before you think they'll hit top water temp wise and you'll still catch them especially in shallower creeks.

If you use normal swimbaits and a jughead, they work fantastic. I even caught my first smallie ever on it.

I’ve been getting mad smallies on a surface popper here in Ontario, Canada. It’s also shadfly season so they’re hitting top waters pretty good
I've been catchin smallies with croppie jigs and sunfish crankbaits all year here in michigan, haven't had much luck with large mouth though.
I reccomend double tail grubs for trailers too they work really well for me

I did not believe Jr scout wound perform BUT I caught my PB small mouth first cast 20/10 would recommend.

a regular barbed hook and neon green power eggs got me my first smallie, ended up catching 3 in a row.
