Hi! I have watched your videos for years and always look forward to them. I was wondering why is your sound always so good? I’ve noticed I can hear your videos so much better than others.
haha, i spend a lot of time working on it during the edit, but also the mic on our camera is pretty amazing. Sound is very difficult though when filming "out in the wild" don't judge people too hard, ours sucks sometimes too. -E
Dude!!! that is technically a pyramid LOL a hexagonal pyramid from the looks of it. I have never seen anything like that anywhere. Those deer gave no Fs about you that was cool and funny. Those buns have to be massive, as they make your super size man hands look small. Impressive bun action in Hokkaido.
First of all, thank you for your content. I've watched all the videos on your channel. Your statement about lack of energy and motivation got me thinking. I fell into this rabbit hole and have been looking for a way out for 4 years. The last part of the video in the triangle with the LED lamp scared me. You seemed very exhausted and lacking in energy. It's quite possible that I'm interpreting too much into it. If not, please seek help in good time and don't wait until it's too late. You have a great character and I hope you get better soon! If you laugh, I do too, if you're happy, I'm happy too! You guys are my antidepressants. Manuel from Switzerland
Oh, I appreciate the concern and while I'm not in a perfect mental state I'm doing OK. This trip was actually about a year ago, so things are a bit different now. -E
I really enjoy the videos. I'm also living in Japan, and I hear ya about feeling the need to reset. I usually find long bicycle tours can help me with that - would definitely consider scooters/motorbikes, though I lack the license here - though unfortunately my full-time job makes that a bit difficult. Have long chomped on the idea of quitting just to go on an extended tour, and still hope to someday (I was able to do a roughly 3 week Hokkaido tour a few summers back, and it was great!)
I did a quick search and turns out that plant the deer are eating is known as great butterbur and although astringent is edible. It's called Fuki in Japanese. It is eaten in some traditional dishes. I thought it might be a type of mallow with the rounded palmate leaves but it's actually a cousin of sunflower.
Did the triangles on a stick have electrical outlets? It looked like they had fluorescent lights. We're still gobsmacked by foxes in trees and how unafraid they are!
lol the banana was a surprise to no one, also plantologist very interesting word, though it does make sense. also lol those triangles, perfect house to fly off to Oz with. ah the eric monk shot is from here.
TP triangles were all the rage in the USA awhile back. Haven’t noticed them much lately, but don’t get out much anymore. Lockdown gave me permission to isolate. Have perfected dodging crowds, unrelated to germs.
Hate to say it, but might want to contact an animal rescue organization, those poor ponies looked like they were abandoned by the owner. Maybe dude got sick or was hospitalized, but those ponies are definitely not being cared for and are absolutely dependent on us humans.
12:45 You could be feeling that way because your vitamin D levels are low, should get it checked out with a blood test at your doctor (you don't want to over do vitamin D)
Your guy's videos bring me so much joy. The randomness, humour, all of it!
Agreed ❤🎉
He has his moments.
Did you ever try to find the guy who offered to fly you in his plane when you did your hitchhiking trip?
We have toilet paper triangles in some places in the UK. It can sometimes show that the cleaners have been in.
Same here in Canada, at least in places like hotels and perhaps fancy restaurants.
Sick waterfall Eric, that was an epic mission. Cool lot lizard + grubbing on watermelon and sushi in a mushroom too lol, hilariously awesome. 🍉🍣🍄

The deer laying down while still eating the grass around em. Living the life!

That lizard is a skink. If it gets its tail stuck or broken off, amazingly it will GROW BACK!!
magic!
thanks Eric great video
Yeah, TP Triangles are a thing here as well - but not every place, we do have them at the office and some cafes.
finally catching this!
17:20 Nah man, thats the iron pencil. You need to get the pencil eraser from Apple Kid so you can continue on to Happy Happy Village.
haha noted
Wish you guys would get outside of Japan again soon, these bike road trips are enough
Haha, then we get the "I only watch your Japan videos, please don't make videos outside of Japan" comments LOL.
Dude, as always, love these
Love your videos 🥰

I actually don't remember if there was an outlet or not, but yea, there were lights.

Kyde has a dayj8b, Eric is the youtuber 😂. She has joined him for a couple of days, everything is okay. He isj ust the vlogger.
These motorbiking hokkaido videos were all filmed over last August. I spent a month or so (mostly) on my own exploring. -E
Poor ponies.
For a minute I thought that white bucket in the triangle tent was the potty!
20:29 Holy moly. They're hamburger sized steamed buns.
"Eric in the sky with triangles"
Awesome video!

Sleeping in a tempel! Cool!

Lol You leaned opposite of the angle of the shot. 😅
I'm lost on timeframes of videos these days, but I hope this trip gave you some rest & reset.
Delectable!
