And once I find a proper hand/crown color for the Titanium one, it's gonna look sick too...

Get a pipe that has a inner diameter the size of the dot that you want. File down the outside edge til sharp and then use this to punch out perfect, repeatable circles.
Reminds me a lot of Holthinrichs watches, not a unibody design, but similar profile and the contrast between polished and 3d printed surfaces, you might also try a Peseux 7001 movement! is cheap, swiss, thin and durable !

Hi fellow person who cares about cameras, So I like cameras (both digital and film), and frequently buy them on craigslist to then flip for a slim profit on eBay. This means that I've used a lot of brands, and the camera that I'm using is always changing. Here's a quick list of what I have tried so far: Fuji X-Pro1, Leica CL, Leica T, Panasonic G9, Fuji XT2, Nikon Z50, Cannon EOS RP, Ricoh GR II, Olympus EM1 Mark II, Fuji X100S, and Sony A7C. My actual skill using said cameras isn't that great yet, but I do have some sample photos on my website linked in the video description. For TH-cam thumbnails, those are just 1280x720 pixels, so less than 1mp... At this tiny size the camera used is entirely irrelevant, but the lens does matter a lot. My current camera is the Sony A7C with the Tamron 28-200mm f2.8-5.6 and Voigtlander 40mm f1.2. I think all of my recent video thumbnails were shot with the 28-200. Both of these lenses are fantastic and give way better image quality than seems possible for their size. The A7C also gives way better quality than what you'd expect from its size... but it's not fantastic to use... too fiddly. I only keep using it for photos because it's so easy to get good video footage out of it... If I didn't need excellent video autofocus I'd be using something else. My favorite cameras so far were the Panasonic G9, the Ricoh GR II, and the Leica T: The Panasonic G9 is still the best camera ergonomically I've ever used, with the best menu system I've ever used. I had all the shortcut buttons set up perfectly and could put it into almost any mode I used within 1 press. And for all the online complaints about video autofocus, it wasn't that bad. Also the Leica-branded 42.5mm and 25mm were super nice to use and had great sharpness. I only sold it after trying to print one of the photos (it's actually the one with the cow on my website) and it just didn't look great. Compared to prints from the Fuji I had at the time it wasn't at that level. I thought about how I might never be to Patagonia again, and decided I wanted better image quality than M43 could offer for the next time I traveled. Still though... if you don't need big files and don't need to print photos, it's a great camera that I still recommend to people. The Ricoh GR II was also great, and then it got dust on the sensor, and then it just broke and stopped turning on. Considering that I bought it expecting to eventually re-sell, this was pretty disappointing. From what I read online this happens to a lot of GR IIs eventually. I'd like to have another Ricoh, as it was really fun to use and the images were amazing, but am just too concerned about reliability to drop hundreds on one out-of-warranty again. Still one of my favorite cameras though. The Leica T wasn't comfortable to hold, and the menu system was strange, but combined with the cheap f1.4 sigma APSC lenses it give me the best out-of-camera colors I've ever seen. I didn't really understand the Leica obsessed people online until I used it. I still regret selling it, even though the focus was slow and it loved to blow out the highlights (and if you under-exposed to compensate for that, the shadow recovery wasn't great). I did try the Leica CL as well, but for whatever reason the colors out of the 24mp CL sensor weren't the same as from the older and worse T sensor. Maybe one day I'll pick one of these up again. Sorry for the wall of text, I wanted to talk about this, but wasn't going to make a TH-cam video on it...
@@CarterHurd The A7C is a really really good camera, I am envious. I have always wanted a really nice general purpose camera that is also great at taking videos. As for mirrorless, I have only experienced the Fuji X-E4. Honestly after some time with it, I do still prefer a familiared DSLR. Lots of big names in the industry like Canon, Nikon and Sony are focusing hard on mirrorless right now, but I feel like there aren't too many advantages to go all the way yet. I still like my trusty Pentax K3 with the Pentax-D FA 24-70mm f/2.8, even though it's almost 10 years old at this point and the lens I have isn't as fast as I would want, beside that, it's still very reliable. I don't find colour as important because if I really like a photo, I'm gonna load Photoshop up and mess around with it anyway. I also have a Pentax K100D Super with a DA* 300mm F4 for the occasional wildlife shooting. Using a camera that is 14 years old is definitely an interesting experience. Don't get me wrong, it can still take gorgeous photographs, but holding it, capturing photos with it and hearing that heavy chunk as the camera barely is able to flip the mirror out of the way to absorb light, is just simply satisfactory. If you haven't, you should give them old DSLR a try sometimes. And yeah, sorry for the hastily written fence height text(when compared to yours) I'm sleep deprived

I really like the lugs and I really want to see you design a bracelet that matches the lugs and case so that it almost looks integrated but it's not integrated. Kinda like the oris propilot x

Great video! Why did you use Binder Jetting? I think with a different metal printing process like laser beam melting you could achieve higher density so it can be polished better.

I think there's a ton more to discover in 3d printed watches. Question; what were the downsides to Binder jetting? you mentioned warping. Why did that happen?
Warping and dimensional inaccuracy cause by said warping. The surface finish wasn't that much worse than that. With a little pounding-into-shape or a Dremel you can make Binder Jet work, though.
@@TyCo87 Yes, there are design solutions, although more thermal mass (i.e. thicker walls) may make it worse, depending on how it is done. This is a whole rabbit hole you can go down if you do some googling.. I'm not really an expert, I just know there are things you can adjust to make it better.

Dude, the oxblood leather with the red tipped hands looks insanely good, I can't help but wonder though, would a polished in case and rough outer be a more contrasting build inside a polished/perfectly glasslike lens? either way as a one off watch, its a 10/10.
This is sick, how much would it cost to make something like this if you did pay for the print? Could you do a cost analysis for people who want to make their own?
The prints were between $400 and $500, and the build process was pretty labor intensive. Unfortunately I don't think this specific design makes sense for building/selling. Maybe if I do a different design in the future that's easier to print using cheaper methods / lower detail...

Probably because metal printing is so much more expensive that it's not cost effective for youtube videos
Metal prints need to be sintered under high heat and pressure. The equipment is expensive and usually takes up a huge amount of space.

Also, next build use a Seiko VH31. It's quartz but it sweeps.
