I have since bought an 05 yzf-r1, and done the same. The 954rr is SO much of a better all-around bike. It's quite comfortable if you have to go through town or commute. I spent a lot of time and energy trying to come up with a way to make my R1 the same with things like adjustable angle clip ons/seat mods etc, and I gave up. The bike is what it is, and I am just not going to kill myself to get to work anymore lol, it's just going to be a twisties bike only. My 954rr right before I got my r1 developed a nasty gear slip in 2nd/4th. I tried just replacing the forks/drum, no go. Well as of today I have bought myself an engine to swap. fuel gauge was deemed too heavy by honda :P
😆
Hello. Do you have any idea why my SC50 jerks when driving off? It started when I washed the SC50 in the car wash (or is that just a coincidence). When it's cold, everything is fine, only when it's warm. The blade is in original condition. EXUP is inside, only the rear silencer is MIVV. Mileage 45,000 km with the first spark plugs. Thanks.
The car wash seams a coincidence, I would check of those spark plugs are still good of they are the original ones maybe it's time to replace them 👍
@@AlbesADV Hi. I finally got to the spark plugs. I had spark plug No.3 turned out. That was probably the problem. I will also replace the fuel pressure regulator.
I also measured the valve clearance. Injection 0.1mm, exhaust 0.2mm 🤨
Are you using old valve cover gaskets in the video (Complete Valve Clearance Check guide Ep4). Thanks.
@bravenewworld999 I'm happy you are making progress 👍 and yes I used the old valve cover gasket, was in pretty good shape
@@AlbesADV thank you. 😉
Hi, I have a CBR929 that will crank but not start. The fuel pump primed but as I kept trying to start it the fuel line burst. I have everything plugged in except two that I cannot find no matter what.
Hi, make sure the injectors are not plugged, sounds like there is back pressure in the fuel line
@@AlbesADV will do. also, I'm wondering about those two hookups that aren't plugged. Do you know what they would plug into? I've looked but still have no idea.
That I'm not sure, sorry 🤷
can you let me know when youre going to sell it?
The previous owner wants to buy back for real, if he flakes out on me I'll let you know
Why can't you engine brake? Isn't engine brake just letting off the gas and slowing down ? ie: down shift and let off gas thus slowing down at velocity ?
When I talked about engine braking I ment electonically adjustable engine braking like most modern bikes. You are correct every engine has engine braking it's just not electronically adjustable 😀👍
analog all the way. if you want digital. go play a video game.
why everyone is saying "no engine braking" on 954rr ,
I meant "electronically adjustable engine braking" 😀👍
Are all 2002 Cbr 954s fireblades?
Yes, the bike for the United States don't have the sticker on the fairing, but the denomination from Honda is Fireblade 😀👍
@@AlbesADV Thank you for answering me I really appreciate it! Neither my fairings or title says Fireblade so I was curious
@ohiostatebuckeyezone6207 no problem bud 👍
@@AlbesADV I know you probably can’t answer me for certain without seeing the bike but could you point me in the right direction my bike is running really rich when I hit the gas a puff of black some comes out..any advice?
Bike has 16k miles btw
Hell if someone needs all the rider assistance electronics maybe a motorcycle isn't for them
albeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Whaaaaaaaasuuuuuuuuuuuup!
This bike better than cbr900, for the ergonomics. For me ride a bike better no electronics for control, all manual....so stupid newbie cant ride it..except for setting up the bike
you ride a bike and drive a car.....just saying
