@@excursor4296 No mod requires DLC as far as I know, you do need the Outlaw Sectors DLC for the NPC Wave match option though

I quit EvE 5 years ago. Never been happier. But THIS i will play the crap out of. Don't get me wrong....I love EvE. I just don't love playing EvE.

Yep. I stopped years ago because I found that it was just a huge grind, but I loved playing it. Then it went Free to play and all the stuff I had spent 4 - 5 years on building up became free and easy to get and it felt like a huge kick in the ass to those that had been dedicated for years. I will definitely be playing this Mod though.
Same, I always LOVED EVE's atmosphere, ship design and especially the music. I just never liked PVP in my games much and EVE was pure PVP whenever you undocked. This mod, and hopefully one for X4 one day will be perfect.
I love EVE's universe... I *hate* EVE Online.

An RTS of EVE Online is just what I needed. You can experience this amazing universe without all the grind. Thanks for showcasing this mod, will love to play it!

The base game is also fun to play.
Although you need a high performance computer to do the more population or galactic scale battle.
Also AI needed a revamped or customization base on your preference.

I am on a different perspective.
I _have_ the grind, my character is multiple years old.
Problem is I just don't wanna pay sub per month, and also get sucked in too much for my own wellbeing. I get sucked in wanting to do stuff, then immediately get terrified of losing things because I don't wanna deal with buying another 'thing'.
That and Loki is expensive.
This mod actually is a fairly good representation of being a CEO and FC in eve online. Of course this is dumber down compared to eve itself but the feel is similar.
A strategy version of my favourite game - perfect. I think this may be the first time that I've recognised anything you've talked about.

Thanks for posting this! I have played more than 200 hours on the Star Trek overhauls and 100+ on the Star Wars overhaul. This is something I will probably put another 100+ into after years away from EVE online.

It's so much better to watch videos in an aspect ratio that fits the phones most people use instead of horrendous black bars at the sides.
"Below the Asteroids" is the best tune in EVE indeed.
have the whole Jukebox on a play list on my phone awesome for when your sick of radio or other music for that day and need some white noise to make the time fly.
You, sir, have the best tastes I have ever seen on TH-cam. I do miss the in-game jukebox.
It was actually those tunes that got me interested into learning FL Studio and learning how to make my own space tunes as 15 years old :D
Just the music alone gives me goosebumps. That is awesome that you can get the pirate faction ships. I would go straight to get my mack! Man I miss that ship.

I love how they do that mining system, such a cool way to do it.
I don't recognise the sound effects (except for Aura) so I'm assuming the mod is using whatever EVE's current versions are? A shame what CCP did to the SFX all those years ago now, they used to be incredible, large lasers in particular and the beastly Tech 2 220mm Vulcans.
Sound effects were somewhat recently updated (after having recorded them all in EVE individually)
I think the only exception was the Tachyon Beam Laser, the older one sounded So much better.
ooooooooooooooooh. sins is one of those games i always keep installed, like dow. the fact that they are STILL update this game makes me all emotional.
Know this YT vid is necro but I just actually jumped into this this evening. Never knew it was even a thing. Played Eve for about 5-6 years as well and THIS mod is absolutely fantastic. in fact, I'd go so far as to say this is probably the BEST mod for Sins by far.

Normally I'd would say "criminally toxic players" is hyperbole, but in the case of Eve it's quite literal.

Sins? woah, haven't thought about this since Stellaris came out and I just started playing eve for the first time last week, might need to give this one a try.

I'm liking this idea of being able to watch battles up close with Eve ships... I never tried the SOASE game because I didn't like the ship designs...

If this makes you want to get back into EvE, you could check out Astrox Imperium. Game has been in development by just a single guy for some time now, but most of the time you hear anyone talk about it, they refer to it as Eve Offline.
Jace Masula is the name of the dev as well of the name of his youtube channel where he posts pretty regular devlogs and some background of what goes into development.
Jita station was redesigned some time ago...so yes that is Jita 4-4.
Played Eve for years, I had 6 toons going at once, 4 for mining and industry and the other 2 were for security/pirating. Caldari for the win!!!!
I love Sins of a Solar Empire. Play a lot of star trek mods on it. This mod looks intense. I hope they do a lot of updates for it. Wish I had more time to play. Only played over 500 hours of Sins.
It would be great to have a real-time RTS for EVE online but on planets, like Starcraft, and connected to the EvE server.
Believe it or not, we had that with Dust 514, made by CCP
what a cool mod. I like eve online and there was a time i played it every day. Hope the devs continue expand the mod and fixing bugs and balance it out so all works good togher and its fun to play against the ai
Looks like I am reinstalling SINS when I get home, thought all Eve mods died years ago. (only way to get my Eve fix, don't like want CCP has done)
As someone who has random urges to reinstall EvE, this may be exactly what I need. Remembering why I uninstalled also helps but yeah.
I am intrigued......... I can't play EVE anymore because it takes over my life. Maybe this is my fix??????

I hope CCP adds RTS gameay mechanics for things like PI, we have things like food, water, slaves and all other kinds of things a society eould need, would be awsome to have a real colony dependant on the player

Hi, I'm curious I still have the old version of an EVE conversion for Sins lying around somewhere but they got shut down by CCP (After previously getting a greenlight). Is this the same project or a new one with approval?

Oooh, I quit EVE some 14 years ago, but the desire to shoot some self-righteous Gallente pricks never quite goes away.
Rumours say that in order to unlock each tier of technology you need to wait 1 month (+3 months, then +6 etc) to accumulate the tech points for it

I'm surprised this mod got picked back up. I was under the impression that CCP had issued a cease and desist on it years ago
I'm highly surprised CCP hasn't made their own EVE themed rts. Hope they leave this one alone on copyright stuff as they are pretty draconian about their IP.
They've turned around massively a couple years ago with that, writing up a content creators agreement that allows modders to use EVE assets under a few conditions. As far as I know SoNER is safe. If they decide to finally develop an RTS then I hope they will hire us and use the mechanics and concepts of this mod as a foundation for it.
We know what the modding community wants, and that's options.

just installed it and im stunned... it gets close to the eve gameplay. at start bit confusing and some bugs but really nice.

just missing eve radio blasting tunes while ratting in the belts in high sec while setting up skill training to finish when you are actually online... god i miss old eve camaraderie , but i wish the game was different
Once you get a handle on how to play this mod (make sure you have a strong economy, spam the crap out of hulks on the ice belts), building a capital fleet backed up with subcapitals and watching two fleets go head to head is freaking awesome. The devs did a great job in modding EvE into SoaSE. And this would be a great series.
Hey shack would it be possible to slide in a proper series of this mod. Ether single player or get some of the old gang for some multiplayer fun

Gecko is guristas a Gallente/Caldari fusion pirate faction which focuses on few but powerful drones.
A couple of comments that may shed a bit more light on the mod as somebody that made a bunch of the maps for it:
there are TWO versions of the Rorqual, the first is the one you get for free at the start of the game as a basic colonizer (so the AI doesn't get stunted) and the second is a more accurate version of the ship, complete with industrial core.
Factory structures are all Raitaru, Azbel, and Sotiyo class Upwell Engineering Complexes and do not change with race (same with the Astrahus, Fortizar and Keepstar citadels)
You'll only need one research structure of each type to research techs.
Just like in eve: Bigger isn't always better, ships use real fleet fits that have been converted into Sins stats. More expensive, supply efficient units are not always as cost effective as swarms of cheap ships.
Some of the maps are based on real EVE regions, even down to the system names, which can be used to your advantage.

this might be perfect to scratch that itch that quitting eve left me... i've tried star citizen, x3 and elite: dangerous, but none of them has that depth that eve had... i wish eve had a true competitor

I had a huge nostalgia attack with that intro music. I need Eve RTS in my life. More pewpew, less second job.
I forget how much I miss the intro until a video has it. Not enough videos have that awesome intro.
This game is such a refreshing experience from eve online
I started Gallente but defected to Amare because of their ships, weapons, defenses, and lore.
My Character is still Gallente, but I use purely Amarr ships, from Frigates to Battleships, and everything in between.
Sucks that they have only 4 miner ships. No Retriever, no Mackinaw, and no Tech 1 Skiff (I don't remember the name.
And no gas harvesting

I have never played EVE and honestly don't know much about the lore but I love the esthetic. I downloaded this mod after watching your video yesterday. I can say i'm absolutely enjoying it! I plan on reading some lore about EVE now as well

This is absolutely incredible. Used to play so much of both games. It makes me wonder why ccp didn't bother making a sweet rts like this. They even put in the music from eve!

In Rust we Trust. Yes, i even have matari merch from back in the days. Necklace, backpack, shirts etc. Havent played in YEARS tho, fuck ccp.

19:15 technically the fastest ship in the game is the leopard , which reaches upwards of 20 au/s when warping . it also accelerate to this humongous warp speed very quickly and obviously with that it also brakes like nobody's buisness 😋
Of all the horrible failed products from CCP I cant for the life of me figure out why they never made a good RTS from Eve Online. It has a perfect setting and most of the balance for it already. Tons of backstory and history.
16:30 hello @TheXPGamers . id just like to let you kindly know that i was specced and trained as a carrier pilot in eve and in deed no , you cant control the carrier fighters in the same way that you control your ship . that is true . what is also true is that you control them directly but in a similar way that you would be controlling units in an rts game for exemple 🙂bonus info , the simple light fighters cant warp at all and act more like really big drones , so if you forgot them on a ratting site that you just finished and warped away , youre screwed , unless of course if you take a scanning ship and combat probe them then warp there and finally bookmark their location to return with your carrier to reconnect them to your ship and then call them to one of your fighter bay . but , on the other hand your heavy fighters do have warp drives but dont really have MWD (micro warp drives for the uninitiated) and if they have (cant precisely remember that little detail) it takes forever to be able to reactivate again . so a basic run of the mill technique , actually consist (when ratting with super-carriers) tho leave them there and only recall your light fighters then once the light fighters are in their respective light fighters bays , you warp to the next ratting site with your super-carrier , then once on site , you make the heavy fighters warp to you then send them fight again 😇. youre all kindly welcome for this little piece of info by the way . its my pleasure to transmit my knowledge freely at 0 cost . afterall , knowledge is power 😉

my favourite aesthetics are the caldari. dont care so much for their regime tho, personally i would go with galente but OMG i hate their designs so much, so Roundy and bubbly and smooth, just urgh no...

Just a tiny remark for each faction nemesis. Gallente enemies were Caldari and Amarr were Minmatar
this could make a really cool story based series for the channel, have intros and stuff about stuff thats happened and such.
first ship i ever lost was a drake. my first time in low sec, wasn't even fully fitted. blew me up and grabbed my egg. tried to hold me ransom i told them to get bent and got popped.... the good ol' days. lol
