  • Join me for a tour of the historic Carson City Mint located in Nevada's capital city. The CC Mint was opened for operation in 1870 and ceased production and closed in 1903. As a result of only being open for 24 years, silver & gold coins struck at the CC Mint have become quite valuable due to their low-mintage and scarcity. Please tune-in.

I drove 10.5 hours and one my two dogs puked in the car. Luckily I had a bunch of towels down and threw them away. Checked out the mint. Awesome! Got two coins minted. Also a must do.. The year previous I checked out the rail road museum on the 4th of July. I'm so happy for your video that inspired me to see the mint. The coin I got was the railroad car. It all came together minus the dog vomit but she vomited that trip too. Hence the preparation and towels. Poor girl, I try to take it easy with her but it's just her nature in the car. Enjoyed the video. Thanks!

Thanks for taking us all on this tour. How many You Tuber's make this type of effort to keep their subscriber's happy? I appreciate your efforts. It seems as if coin collecting was just as popular back in the 19th century. I forget how important Silversmithing was 100 years ago, but I reckon there are very few doing that trade today.

Yeah, it's something else. They also had an EPIC display of some old firearms and other weaponry from the Civil War up through WW2.

I read somewhere that if you had a silver claim of your own and you mined some silver that you could go to this mint and they would press them into Morgans at no fee.
