When Tim hits that low note ..lol the ladies get swooned...they melt like butter. Great reaction and watching you guys is like seeing some old friends , talkin bout stuff and just chillin!😊😁
The Dwarves spent 13,000 years digging a giant mine shaft, so that this note could be released. Then one of the dwarves became possessed by the power of that note, grew to be 6'2", and went on to have a cult form up in his honor. They were known as the Greybeards, and Tim, having mastered the Thu'um, was henceforth known as Dov-Ah-Kiin.
These two gentleman together is such a beautiful blend. Tim Foust is such a talented bass singer. I love his voice and he knows how to be a bass but still harmonize beautifully. The inflections he puts in his notes are impeccable. When him and Avi are together I'm in bass heaven lol
The stunning thing for me is that Peter recorded his parts in the Caribbean, while Tim did his in the States at the same time. Their timing is perfect.
One is a Monk the other an axe wielding Viking, and if I heard that battle song heading my way I'd sing my death song. If I heard that last note coming from the trees, I'd run and hide.
I know this is three years old, but you remind me so much of my childhood friend that tragically passed away that it felt like it knocked the wind out of me. You can tell that you are genuinely a good dude. You have a beautiful wife as I see you've gotten married since this video. Wishing you and your wife the best in 2024 and beyond.
If you can hit that note, you can hold it for an insane amount of time. It takes so little breath to hit a subharmonic that you can keep it going easily. I can hit D1 comfortably and hold it for well over 20 seconds, C1 with a struggle. Geoff Castellucci can go down to B1 and holds it for a long time as the last note in Voiceplay's Oogie Boogie Man. That note was so low, it made my base speaker "walk" across the floor.
@@kIDNEYKid-xt9uc Whatever you call it doesn't matter, I can sing along and hold it for as long as he does in this song. I could hold it a lot longer because it doesn't take much breath to do it. Geoff is a pro singer, I am not, he has better lung capacity and control than me, so he could hold it a lot longer than I could.
@@Tryst46 I think it kind of makes a difference. The growl is incredibly rough on the vocal folds and hurts like a mf. I do like Geoff more cause it sounds smoother, but there's no point in taking anything away from Tim
Emily had a great reaction! And watching you anticipate her reaction was fun. (And I’m so happy you can now use your French accent when you say “fiancée” since you switched to the correct “ado” over “adieu”. lol)

Cool thing about that is it's only those 2 guys making all that music, lead singing, and backup singing! The most amazing part of Peter Hollens music is how he layers multiple recordings of himself singing different parts, hand claps, finger snaps, stomping, etc, to sound like it's an entire chorus of people and instruments. He has done songs where he did around 140 separate tracks just for one song! Listen/watch his version of "Desert Rose", "Ultimate Queen Medley", "Baba Yetu", "I See Fire", and a duet with his wife "What are Words"......plus everything else he does of course! lol!
Tim looks like one of the dwarves in The Hobbit. I loved watching Brad’s facial expressions we were all making at him as we watched him react to this...
First time I’ve heard this. And in my mind I see a man at the table with his wife and kids, peaceful and silent as he prepares his mind. Then fade into him opening a door to where he keeps his armor and weaponry. As you see him and his wife helping him get suited up it fades in lightly of him and others sharpening swords and preparing arrows and pikes. Next it cuts to his kids embracing his lags as tears stream down his wife’s silent face as she lowers her gaze he gently kisses her forehead and hugging her tightly to make sure they both remember that moment for eternity. With a view from above a muddy street as rain falls on the metal armor the streets fill of men coming out of there houses in an haunting silence only hearing the rain as they March out of the homes and then towns forming a road map leading to battle.... the rain sound changing into the sound of marching into war. Lightning strikes and sends thunder rolling as these men crash into the enemy, armor sparking light and the metal clashing together making the flash and crash of the storm raging both above and below. Then fade to a banner falling and the man returning home covered in blood and grime injured but alive. Then a parting shot of an embrace again kissing her brow like before as the picture fades into a tan parchment with that picture in a lined sketch just black ink with the outer edges of of the parchment stained with the same blood and grime as the book closes and the music stops. I wish I was better at getting my thoughts into words so others could see what I’m seeing. I could almost feel the cold in the air and see the dark grey skies of fall.

you should listen to more peter hollens. His vocal range is impressive as is his versatility. he collaborates with all kinds of people on all sorts of musical styles. He does a cover of Baba ye tu with malukah that is truly magical. (the lords prayer in Swahili)
Does anyone see the upcoming battle between light and dark? The darkness reflected in the bass, and the light on the other side with the video reflecting this. Both sides in deep reflection of the upcoming battle on the morrow. Both sides sharing the same sentiment the night before. Just Wow!
One of my all time favorite songs! If you want another one really similar, try Peter Hollens's "Black is the Color of my True Love's Hair" with Avi Kaplan, you will not be disappointed!!
Peter Hollens is amazing and I love seeing a fellow native Oregonian and University of Oregon Duck succeed! This is truly a good version of this song, but if you want to hear a truly EPIC version, check out the collaboration version with Skar and Dan Vasc. Y'all keep mentioning this making you ready for battle, check out the song Wolf Totem, by the Hu Band. and if you like the low notes at the end of songs check out Oogie Boogies song by Voice Play.
Yoooo! First I found Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix and I was like oh, this guy is pretty deep and the group is talented. Then I found Peter Hollens and I was like wow! This guy is a full range deeper and wickedly talented. Then I found Tim Faust and was like holy shit! This dude is bloody deep! At least a range and a half deeper. But wait! It gets better! I feel like Billy Maise now! After Tim and Home Free, I found Geoff Castellucci and VoicePlay. No seriously, this dude sings in a natural F1 range. If you want a damned fine, and fun song to react to, one that won’t try and lull you to sleep then listen to VoicePlay’s rendition of Oogie Boogie’s Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

@@BradSteele Hi! Pls. do react to "HINDI TAYO PWEDE" BY KATRINA VELARDE. It was already released on 25th of December. In just a day this video already got a 100K plus of viewers. This song is about LOVE that was not meant to be 😥 . It is one of her song in Masked Pilipinas contest. Her cover made even more EMOTIONAL, where she PUTS HER WHOLE HEART OUT! 🥰

Another good song of Peter Hollens is I still haven't found what I'm looking for originally by U2 covered by Peter and Home Free.
I like that you can actually understand every word.
'oh my goodness ok timothy' is now in my daily vocab thnku
Hahaha! ❤️❤️❤️ Emily deer. Arent you the sweetest & cutest & gorGsss! With or without make up on. God Bless you both! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Peter filmed in Oregon and Tim was in the Caribbean.
Y'all keep mentioning this making you ready for battle, check out the song Wolf Totem, by the Hu Band. and if you like the low notes at the end of songs check out Oogie Boogies song by
Voice Play.
Should have looked first, I see you already did voice play.
I want to see her reaction to Home Free singing Mayday, It will blow her mind with the notes that Tim hits.
You two should react to the cover of U2's Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by Peter Hollens ft. Home Free
Omg what a lovely intro! Also it wasn't made by whoever that guy is. It was written by J.R.R. Tolkien and the actual notes by whoever made it for The Hobbit
I watch this video over and over. It always gets me. Try Blackbird with Geoff C. (Do the both of you )
