I remember you said on FB that you got it! Glad to hear you're loving it! I'm so proud of this product. Have you received the notification yet to change the head? Or has it been less than 2 months?
Great video, Bradley! Nick touched on one of the big (at least for some of us) drawbacks of the 505 - and that is that you really can't put five full-size adults in it without exceeding the forward c.g. So as a tour machine it's going to be...well... Perhaps someone using one for dedicated tours would ballast it so that you *could* take five adults. But then, if the pilot were to fly solo he'd probably have to carry weight with him in the cockpit to keep the c.g. from being too far aft. Everything is a compromise.
Thanks! have a few more filmed, Devin is just getting caught up on editing. Next video should be our flight with TH-camr Tom Scott. He's and interesting guy.
@@bradleyfriesen I've decided I am just going to find some dude on Fiver and send him all the clips. He can edit the VLOGS, that gives us more time to hangout together.

So good to see you making content again! Love it. Met York last month at the Heli-Expo, straight up awesome dude. Great seeing you two getting into some adventures. Maybe some day I can join in on the shenanigans with you guys.
Sir this may be the wrong forum for this, but tell me why I should replace my 10 year old Sonicare with your Bruush system? Love the video. I'm 25 years twin turbine IFR helicopter mechanic down in Western Washington just below ya'll. Awesome seeing you flying around with your pup. We just lost ours. Also intrigued by the new plastic Jet Ranger. :)
MRBLACK947 well... here’s my quick pitch. First off, the brush is on par in terms of quality with the current top of the line Sonicare. Our brush heads get delivered to you for $6 each, compared to $20 for Sonicare. We send you a reminder email when it’s time to change your head. Every set of replacement heads also provides a free toothbrush, tooth paste and fluoride treatment for a person in need in the 3rd world through our partners at “A Reason to Smile” Our battery life is better than the Sonicare at over 30 days, 2x per day. Our brush heads are arguably better (softer is better for protecting your gums). We use DuPont, Tynex Ultrasoft Bristles which are industry leading.

Johnny Woldemichael if you ever see me buy a Ferrari or something, permission to punch me in the face. The only thing I want in my life is something bigger to fly. A 120 would be awesome, but a little limited on power especially at altitude. The 66 has way too short engine cycles for the flying I do. Realistically, a AS350B2 would be perfect. A B3 overkill but 😍. Bucket list Heli though would be an SH09!
Ok im gonna have to hold you to that so think twice before u take those keys to that Rrari lol JK ....YA I never knew that the Ec 120 was no good for power at high altitude. I guess you don't really see them being use for search and rescue. Myself im going to BC Helicopters in 2 years from now maybe sooner get my commercial. Iv figured I was gonna buy an ec120 one day I just want something that's fully articulated the dream is the AS 350b one day, but a used one is prob $1,800,000 to 3million , But all in due time. thanks for responding safe flying to you and your passengers looking forward to some more good videos peace brotha
I don't know this first hand, but what he is saying has to do with the Center of Gravity of the helicopter. Imagine a pillar with a board placed on top. If you start placing weight on the board without countering that weight with an equal weight on the other side, the board would tip over. A helicopter is like that, but upside down. The Center of Gravity is located around the rotor mast because that is suspending the helicopter in the air. If you put too much weight at the nose, tail or side to side, the helicopter controls might not be strong enough to keep the helicopter upright. The 505 is nose heavy. So if you put 5 people inside with gear to it's full lifting capacity, the weight could exceed the C of G limits of the helicopter. That means for a tour operator, you might have to leave a client behind not because the helicopter can't legally lift them, but because the C of G is out of balance. The A-Star he flies can take 5 or 6 people with the gear and pilot, without being outside the weight or C of G limits.
Joe, it has a 500 horsepower French engine (called an Arrius). Bell chose it - supposedly - because it has *dual* FADEC as opposed to the venerable RR 250-series which at this point only has single FADEC. (I suspect that there were other considerations as well.) As for the transmission, yes, the 505 uses the same trans as the 206L-4, which easily handles the paltry horsepower that the engine puts out.
Not sure what you're hearing, but my machine is extremely smooth. The limit is .2 ips and at my track and balance less than a year ago it was .04 or .05 What is making you think I need a balance?
@@bradleyfriesen Whoops, sorry. .04 and .05 are great numbers, you're right. I was hearing your voice and Nick's voice between around 8 and 9 minutes telling me there was a vertical hump. I watched again and also noticed Boba Fett on the cyclic. Great early indicator of an imbalance and his head isn't bobbling around much at all. Disregard my previous comments and keep having fun.
Hey Brad, do you know if there are any commercial helicopter flights to the ice caves? I know you’ve said you don’t do commercial flights due to differing insurance, and I know there’s various helicopter tours around BC, but I’m not sure about any to the ice caves. I love that you’ve returned to making content!
Hey Jessica. Headline Holidays in Whistler own the commerical rights to these caves. They usually fly with Blackcomb Helicopters. Either of those companies should get you in the right direction.
I should have probably put a promo code in there... if you want, use "smile20" I think one of the cool things is also that the replacement heads are $6 instead of $20, and we send you an email to remind you to change the brush head. Who remembers when the last time you changed your toothbrush was and when to change it?
Couple of things, how does it fly in comparison to the 206 series? And 2, i don't care for the aesthetics of the Bell. So many beautiful designs they have, but the 505 is meh. Surely there's more to it, or it's an acquired taste.
