"I couldn't go home right away. I didn't want to see anyone I knew. I wanted to be a ghost. Completely anonymous." His vulnerability with her is what makes this scene so authentic. I love it.
This movie is so crazy to see if you've ever had this type of experience with someone. You're out someone that you connect with and reality seems to shape around your manic happiness and excitement, and you feel like this is what is must mean to feel alive. I've had this with a couple of guys, but things never really seemed to work out that well when tried being in a relationship. On the other hand, I've been with a guy who I never had this type of experience with, yet things were pretty harmonious and comfortable in a day to day relationship. Love is conflicting and strange. There really is no right answer and few if any couples have it "all."
Hope you're fine mate. And whether you belong to each other or not, it's better to experienced a love that strong for once than never truly connect with anyone (like me).
I always wondered if maybe this part of the scene was improvised. When Jesse said how Celine looked like a botecceli angel, like yeah, that is accurately how you describe how Julie looks like. The way Celine reacted flattered when he was describing how smart and beautiful she was, I honestly forgot these characters were fictional. A little bit of me thinks that the two actors did fall in love with each other at one point. Their acting was so amazingly realistic. Great how Linklater was able to pair the two together. Great chemistry.
I have never heard about this movie but unexpectedly, I found myself on the verge of tears at this end of this clip. It is really emotional. The dialogue is beautiful. The silence is beautiful. The actors are beautiful. And that view, and that line "I feel like this is some dream world we're in" makes you see how precious life is
They're right. They're basically just living like they were in their wildest dream where in that dream you met this somebody that immediately felt so special in every aspect where you and that person could share an idea and mutual love and affection in just one night...like it really is a rare moment to be happen in life. And they're both live for that moment.
Become a ghost....yes I felt that way when I was in Europe. When you do that, your ego vanished and you lift that weight. And you become incredibly attractive to those around you.....
"Hi, dude. What's up?" That's adorable.
Why is it so adorable to hear a French girl talking like a generic American guy?
Jesus Christ the way he looks at her

2:04 OMG THAT LOOK OF SURPRISE WAS SO FRAKING ADORABLE
2:18 he forgets the joke for a moment and realizes that he was talking at the same time SO CUTE

@@juvialockser2170 They did! They got over their argument. But that's the beauty....they still had to put in work 18 years after that initial "click".
This movie is an absolute masterpiece.
Our time together is just ours. ,our own creation...
