What's up guys, I am Pheonixmaster1 and welcome back for some Fire Emblem Three Houses Supports.
This video has Jeritza & Bernadetta Support Conversations in Three Houses. Jeritza is the first DLC character to be exclusive to a certain route, as he's only playable in Crimson Flower (Edelgard's Route). This support conversation wasn't available when he was first released but with Three Houses Update 1.2.0 Bernadetta has found a new support partner in Jeritza as they have C to A Support and can have a paired ending.

Fire Emblem Three Houses Game Info:

The game features the refined gameplay the Fire Emblem franchise is known for. Command a party of warriors to move and fight on a grid-based battlefield and, for the first time in the series history, assign battalions of troops to support individual units in battle. As a professor, you are responsible for teaching your students and improving their skills in their academic lives and in battle. These may be school assignments, but the stakes are very real. Your students’ lives depend on your leadership. That's probably why so much of her dialogue is soft spoken when its not screamed.

Linhardt can't believe his theory was actually correct and says something like this: "it's like when you're fishing and you think you got a big one... and then you reel it in and it's seteth" the line itself, the delivery, everything about it was just plain great

You would think their first instinct would be a Manuela and Jeritza support, or an Edelgard and Jeritza, or a Hubert and Jeritza, or Lysithea and Jeritza but Bernie and Jeritza is kind of an odd choice. understandable considering Death Knight would be Bernie's worst nightmare but still a little odd that she got a support with Jeritza before Manuela
This is some gold. Though this has to be Bernadetta at some of her lowest IQ. Like the second one is just... wow. At least Jeritza playing it so straight and getting so annoyed makes it fun. Funny that they somehow manage to make her less scared of the person she should be scared of the most than people who are supposed to be her actual friends.
I mean, she also got a perfect read on his personality, so it wasn't all that bad for her lol

She's not a coward, she's paranoid - where there's no threat she looks for one and her imagination gives her crazy ideas, where the danger is obvious she knows what to expect and knows what to look for in order to defend herself, paradoxically make her calmer...

It's the reason why I don't want to use her. Having no support levels is awful for Maddening mode. She will always miss her battalion attacks and would be a bad support for others.
I'm always tempted to bench Anna or just not recruit her. Lack of supports really limits options for any unit.

What a fun little extra I didn't know they added in. I actually really liked how this support actually has a lot to say about Bernadetta when you really think about it. You see a lot of growth in her, even just attempting to talk to one of the scariest and most closed off guys in the game. This is something she never would have done pre-timeskip.
The C support is a some things never change kind of support. Despite how she's grown, she never fully gets over her fear and her awkwardness around people so much so that she never even bothered to accept the reality of Jeritza becoming an ally and a different person than the one she knew years ago.
The B support confirms that Bernie had never really reconciled that Jeritza is the Death Knight, most likely out of fear. She was terrified of the Death Knight, but knows that Jeritza is an ally, and when she finally is able to reconcile this, her fear of the Death Knight becomes a curiosity as to why Jeritza would choose to continue wearing that armor which is obviously something that no one has really asked him about before. It gives Jeritza a chance to be a little bit more open about himself, that he basically still wears the armor because he views himself as someone who can only bring about war and death.
The A support seems to imply that now that Bernie knows more about the type of person that Jeritza is, she no longer fears him as the Death Knight. Death Knight is just a part of who he is and that doesn't bother her. In fact, she seems to implicitly understand that the real reason Jeritza wears the armor is to isolate him and his destructive nature from the world. She sees that on the inside, Jeritza is in pain, still struggling with what happened to him in his past, and that is something Bernie can totally relate to. This support also really does a good job of showing that Bernie knows herself. She knows that her awkwardness, her low sense of self, her love of isolation, are all scars from the darkness of her past and because she understands herself, she is able to empathize and understand Jeritza's hurt, even if he has never explicitly told her what happened in his past. We also see Jeritza's attempt to push away, out of fear that he will ultimately only destroy those whom he gets close to. Despite that, Bernie doesn't mind and instead takes great comfort in the fact that even in a time of war and uncertainty, she has found someone else like her, someone else who struggles with building up defenses, in order to feel safe and secure. That line about Bernie taking her past hurts out on herself while Jeritza takes his out on the world, was very powerful and it seems to have triggered a, "she gets it" moment for Jeritza. At first glance, a Bernadetta and Jeritza support chain might seem strange and it honestly kind of is, but ultimately it works because despite these two being incredibly awkward people at times, they ultimately do have a lot in common with one another, its just that those commonalities are hidden by the mountain of barriers each has put around themselves.

Very interesting- two characters that had abusive upbringings. Bernadetta also considers throwing someone on to a fire so she has some psychotic tendencies... I opened this video thinking “why on Earth did they get a support?” But I get it now.

Bernie, a social recluse, gets among the most supports in the game (iirc, she's only surpassed by Byleth now, though tied with others), one of which is with the Death Knight, who in addition to being the most likely to kill her, only has supports with 3 other people.

They hired back bernadetta and jeritza s voice actor for the Yuri and Constance supports, they probably just did this as a bonus. If Felix or Manuela s VA had gotten hired for a support they probably would have gotten one with jeritza for the free update, bernadetta and jeritza had more personal ones with the dlc characters thought.

@@maverick5169 Comparatively, Jeritza and Hubert have very similar levels of chill. But whilst Hubert is just fiercely loyal (with a snake like mien), Jeritza is a straight up murderer with BPD (BiPolar disorder), MPD (Multiple Personality disorder), DPD (Disassociative personality disorder), and a fratricidal streak. Not sure how in character this interaction is for little Bernie.

QcSlayer Seven Cyril and Seteth have A support but no paired ending so there are exceptions
QcSlayer Seven mostly correct I think Alois and Shamir are the only A support without a ending and I guess Ingrid and Seteth kinda since their paired ending only happens on azure moon but their a support can happen on other routes

I see a lot of people confused as to why Bernie would open up to the DeathKnight of all people. So here are my thoughts:
I think she liked him because she viewed him as the ultimate reveal to his thoughts and feelings: he had nothing to hide and all truths were out in the open.
Whereas for other people, to some degree, everyone is 'hiding something' behind smiles and social etiquette, and with someone with social phobia that is a constant anxiety provoker. Jeritza, however, was literally an embodiment of being unmasked and honest.
He didn't force her to talk or socialize. He was just quiet and willing to listen to her, and on top of that, he steered other people away from talking to either of them.
They both enjoyed the silence of one another and the few rare chats between them were both enjoyed;
for Jeitza is was because he didn't want to become too attatched, and she was fine with that because she is afraid of people. For her, because she felt insecure she might screw up a conversation, so for both of them, the silence was a pleasant understanding between them. What few conversations they had were initiated by Bernie, so she had control over the subject and how much she felt comfortable revealing. Jeritza would give small answers that were satisfactory and had patience with her insecurities.
