@@benjaminkip9143 Seems like a more laid back and more stressed free kind of environment compared to being American growing up here in the U.S for me lol.
His old home is in one of the richest parts of the capital (it's called Hellerup (not the capital, but the part of the city)) så that's why there's no cars.
I'm danish, and that city is Copenhagen. In danish it's called København, the place you see first is called Amager, and his home town is called Gentofte
I think it's so cool at Lars takes a run like that in almost every city 'tallica is playing a gig in. He's like running around like a "normal" person saying "Hi" to people and shit.. That's really down to earth of him. :)
It funny.. because for most swedes (like myself) the danish language is very hard to understand and it's basically very hard distinguish different words in sentences from it (it's like it all floats together). When it's written down, you can easily understand what it says, but when someone is speaking danish like Lars here... it's merely like gibberish.
ok im not danish...im italian...but seriously complete respect for lars and his country :D lars is my idol and i play his songs on drums in his hono x)
THIS HOUSE DEFINETELY CAME OUT FROM A GRIMM BROTHERS TALE! WOW! AND IT LOOKS VERY STRANGE AMONGST THOSE QUITE CONTEMPOREAN CONVENTIONAL SIMPLE SQUARE HOUSES SAME ALL OVER THE WORLD.
TO ALL THE DANISH PEOPLE WATCHING THIS: what did he say at 2:45 ? Is it "Tak skal du have"? It sounds a little bit different. I'm curious because I'm a foreigner living in Denmark and I'm learning Danish. Thank you in advance for your answer :)
@Elfredo hi,good that you are danish,I have a question then. Is Lars' danish still flawless?I wonder if he makes mistakes and forgot a lot in his own language:-) I heard him talking in one of the interviews here and he sounded fluent, but that is one thing..how about his grammar? Danish and swedish and norwegian sound so funny and cute:-)))))
@Elfredo Oh I did not expect you to respond this quickly:-))))Thanks a lot,it was funny reading about his danish!!!! Thanks thanks!!!!!!!:-))Have a nice day!
@ViniciusFiocco I would not say cold dude. Denmark has it all. Spring = kind of warm. Summer = Usally warm. Fall = Windy but not as cold as winter. Winter = Cold allmost all the time. We have had two REALLY cold vinters these last ones. But somtimes it dosent even snow:-) Its awesome!..
@wannaknowit Lars' danish is a bit rusty now, but he still speaks the language fluently though :-) His accent is very typical for the people who live in Copenhagen.. And his grammar is still correct, as far as I've heard in interviews :-) His wife Connie Nielsen once said in an interview on Danish television that her and Lars still talk Danish from time to time.. E.g. if they want to talk about something in front of their kids which they don't want them to hear.. It's ike a secret language :-D
@Marbash0312 In fact, i saw him at Retiro's park in Madrid, 6 AM, the day they where playing a gig here, i even have a pic with him ^^ He run a lot by the way.
I wanna live there look at this place. relax, beautiful way of life, rich culture, cold, european cars, women and arts. anyway Lars, one day, was the best drummer of the world. Today he's just an old joke. But I still love his way and his contribution for Metallica and music. Go ahead Lars. and, just another thing. Stop talking about these awful drummers here. Lars don't deserve it. If you like Blink, go to the fuck Blink's video and say what you think about Travis or whatever.
Does anyone here know the power chords in the intro? I know for certain they must be power chords but I would be very grateful to anyone who knows them or can redirect me to a guitar tab, hopefully, if it's possible. Anyway, all the best and rock on! Med venlig hilsen også!
Erhm... He just wrote "Lars in his home of Denmark, so cool". You're right that he doesn't have anything to do with Germany, but that was not what implied...
Yeah, it's pretty relaxed, especially in the Nordic countries. Another thing that is good is that people don't give a shit about how much money you earn or what kind of job you have. You get treated pretty much the same anyway unlike America where money has a lot more status.
He does, but by now he's been long enough in the US to have less of a Danish accent. But check him out in English interviews in the 80's. His accent back then was very noticeably foreign.
@thriller79 yeah western countries and central really are peaceful and quiet, i mean from what i see in this vid it seems like a typical decent suburb, sort of like you;d see millions in france, germany, england, austria and shit ( thats where ive been and thats what i know). But its only these countries that are relaxed. Romania (where i live) is anything BUT relaxed and so are most eastern countries, Italy is also boiling, Greece the same... seems like northern countries are cooler:P
@sirjensen1997 You'll always get one dimwit. Sometimes get 'em quickly, others you gotta wait a while, but in the end you'll always be guaranteed one. Congratulations Sir!
@MsSmilyClown Travis Barker of Blink 182 is the awful drummer, Nick Barker formerly of Dimmu is a great drummer. Please read the reply, before answering. There's enough overweight drummers with massive talent, like Gene Hoglan and Ray Herrera. I only corrected you on the name, because Travis Barker never played with Dimmu as you suggested.
@lomver The part about money and stuff - not true. At least not in the part of Denmark where I live. It's more like, if you don't have any money you're fucked because of extreme taxes and stuff, and many people I know are really ignorant and kinda racists - and they tend to really dislike anything rock related. I think you can find the people who actually don't give a shit about money and all in every country, but don't make it a stereotype of Scandinavia, because you will get disappointed.
It's cool to hear him speak Danish, it shows him still being in touch with his roots.
Same with Eddy Van Halen, he still speaks Dutch.
Eddy Van Halen half Indonesian too
Please link me to Eddie speaking Dutch.
Lars is one of the main reasons why I'm proud to be Danish! :D
I am dutch. You should be proud of yourself to be Danish! Your country is beautifu. And you Danes are just awesome. Jeg elsker Danmark!
@@benjaminkip9143 Seems like a more laid back and more stressed free kind of environment compared to being American growing up here in the U.S for me lol.
He was knighted too by Queen Margrethe as well wasn't he?
As a swede, I can hear him, at 2:40 asking something like "Is it okay if we speak here for 2 seconds, for the camera? Thanks so much!"
scandinavian languages are great. Can hear them for hours though not understanding a word
Makes me want to go to Denmark.
His old home is in one of the richest parts of the capital (it's called Hellerup (not the capital, but the part of the city)) så that's why there's no cars.

Thank you for your wonderful response, and have a fantastic day.
2:38 did he just say "goodbye" to that guy in Danish to greet him?
damn Lars, you've been in America for too long.
I think he asked his Danish photographer to take some pictures of him and Rob.
Hej just said hi to someone
Love the little song in the begining :D

he says "tak skal du ha' du" which means the same as "tak skal du have" but is more "street-ish" or "slang-ish"
Respekt
Arh... I think you'll find that the first place you see in the video is called Amalienborg (where the Queen lives). And his home town is Hellerup.
2:40 It's like he's speaking a different language.
He's talking Danish
He looks like fred durst

What's the opening song?
@drndos he was born and raised in denmark and went to school there so just as good as mine
@ErikIorio
You're not danish, your italian, living in canada, named Erik...
Right....
Does anyone here know the power chords in the intro? I know for certain they must be power chords but I would be very grateful to anyone who knows them or can redirect me to a guitar tab, hopefully, if it's possible. Anyway, all the best and rock on! Med venlig hilsen også!

he looks like varg vikerness
just dropping off a specimen
They never painted it? lol
Erhm... He just wrote "Lars in his home of Denmark, so cool". You're right that he doesn't have anything to do with Germany, but that was not what implied...
Rock musicians, especially drummers have to stay in shape or they'd never make it .through a set.
nice red hat
Hvad hedder den skole han gik på?
Yeah, it's pretty relaxed, especially in the Nordic countries. Another thing that is good is that people don't give a shit about how much money you earn or what kind of job you have. You get treated pretty much the same anyway unlike America where money has a lot more status.
if lars ulrich came here at age 16 why doesn't he have a danish accent when he speaks english?
he has, he has an insane copenhagen accent :)
bandawhat33 actually I hear Danish accent when he speaks English
He does, but by now he's been long enough in the US to have less of a Danish accent. But check him out in English interviews in the 80's. His accent back then was very noticeably foreign.
@MusicBuch Ja men resten af bandet er jo også mega fede :D
@x9xn00bx9x Half those comments about him being cute, are from Lars himself!
@buoghuoj we feel the same way when we are listening to swedish XD
that's fuckin cool, do you speak Danish?
@thriller79 yeah western countries and central really are peaceful and quiet, i mean from what i see in this vid it seems like a typical decent suburb, sort of like you;d see millions in france, germany, england, austria and shit ( thats where ive been and thats what i know). translation for us non Danish? lol
2:38 Something along the lines of "Hi! You don't mind that we talk here in front of the camera for two seconds, right?"
What do you think probably he's complaining about the burger size lol
"Is it okay that we are talking here for 2 seconds with the camaras, thx dude"
@MusicBuch YEAH MAN I SAY THE SAME LONG LIVE METALLLICA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND BECAUSE LARS IS A SEJ DANSKER! :D
@MsSmilyClown Nick Barker. There's a whole lot of talent difference in that mistake ;) And he no longer plays in Dimmu. Not that it's really relevant.
@lomver really. i wanna move there man
@buoghuoj ya but i think its like an evil cycle if you know what i mean
@CrunchDrunk I Denmark it feels like they are invading the country :S
@valerie378

@m169marroquin of what?
@TheMariusDuaas in DK the 8 to 10 has free 15.30 or 16:30
