Damn, just found this. Yoyoka and Ellen performing together was bound to happen. The level of talent among these young musicians is just ridiculous. Everytime I hear Yoyoka drumming on a Zep song it's crazy how "Bonham-esque" her playing feels. And little Ellen just grooving like there's no tomorrow. Also, I always felt that a female talented singer like this girl works great covering Zep songs. And of course excellent guitar playing here as well.
I bought Zeppelin's "Houses of the Holy" album in 1973 and still have it today......one of my favorites ! It makes this old rocker feel really good that the music he grew up with is still popular and is being played so well by such talented young people !! You guys totally rock !!
I can’t believe how sophisticated, in the pocket and groovy this cover is from kids this young. Zep were the greatest, grooviest hard rock band of all time and this song shows their absolute mastery and these kids not just nailed it but did it more justice than adult Zep cover bands I’ve heard. And on top of that they have charisma to boot! I’m blown away. The future of music is bright if we can just get these 4 in the popular music world. I’m also a Dad and a massive Zep fanboy, so this really touches my heart and soul. Your parents are so proud!
I see two possibilities here: 1) Ellen and Yoyoka get together and form the greatest rock band in the world. Or 2) They each go off on their own and create the two greatest bands in the world. I honestly don’t knew which I’d prefer but the future of music appears to be safe in the hands of these awesome kids!
It sure paid off in spades! I have been playing lead guitar for nearly 50 years. And I have always said that you can get by with average guitarist. But if you don't have a great drummer and singer, you are screwed!
Her name is Yoyoka Soma from Hokkaido , Japan. Check out this young lady cover Zep's Good Times Bad Times, Burn - Deep Purple and Sunshine of your love and Rosanna by Toto. Mindblown.
Yeah! And there are more kids to see like Ale Villareal from The Warning, Ashley Suppa from Plush or Daisy Pepper among others, this generation will resuscitate Rock to its former glory (I hope)
Jimmy, I hope this makes you even happier (I am a Yoyoka fan) ... That was the first time Yoyoka (drums 12yo) had ever played with Ellen (bass 9yo), Eva (vocals) and Mateo (guitar). Ellen had rehearsed twice with Mateo but only once with Eva. That session was in Las Vegas. Yoyoka was visiting from Hokaido, Japan with her Dad. The audio was one, continuous, unedited take, mixed by Ellen's Dad. YoYoka always wants one continuous audio, and preferably one video, take (she uses 3 static cameras at home). She plays live a _lot,_ so playing in one take is normal for her. Yoyoka and Ellen later recorded a Q&A with Hovak, Ellen's Dad. Hovak set the scene, then asked Yoyoka and Ellen to explain what they thought about the session. Yoyoka understands, but does not speak much English. Yoyoka said something like, she _"caught the mood and the atmosphere"_ in the room, she _"was kinda catching all the energy"_ then she _"knew what she can do for the group":_ _ELLEN & YOYOKA Q&A_ th-cam.com/video/bcgr3iBn8gs/w-d-xo.html (12m7s to 15m46s) Best Wishes. ☮ --------------- Depending on your musical tastes, Yoyoka _might_ have something: th-cam.com/users/kaneaikaneaivideos or th-cam.com/users/kaneaikaneaiplaylists Maybe her _Led Zeppelin Cover_ playlist th-cam.com/play/PLdRIgHiqkWWYwCQFLsXzXcNdaUAHwtHZF.html Maybe her: _Yoyoka Drum Cover_ playlist th-cam.com/play/PLdRIgHiqkWWbf6r83PokACwV5gqIVv9vs.html She co-wrote "Sparkling" (first track?) (Jimmy Page has come and seen them, he loves Akane's drumming, Misa's bass tone is one of the best I've heard. Here's a taste of what they can do if you're interested:

The beauty and innocence of childhood is amazing. God bless you all
The way Ellen is having fun with her bass is delightfull!!!❤
as a Zep fan from way way back, I have to say that I get annoyed at imitators BUT holy smokes! You guys KILLED IT!! INSANELY AWESOME!!
Yep! Agreed
These kids aren't imitators. They're curators. ;) Gives me hope for the future of music.
No comparison.Keep practicing, kids
Spot on ! Check the drummer for lead in his shoes. Wow.
Well said🤙🤙🤙
Damn, just found this.
Yoyoka? Is that the drummers name? Who is the lady singer? Thank you 🤓
Crazy accurate drums and it goes without saying Ellen is a monster. The other two are awesome also. So good, so good. Thanks you beautiful musicians.
She nailed the vocals. Can u imagine how hard that would be?
I bought Zeppelin's "Houses of the Holy" album in 1973 and still have it today......one of my favorites ! It makes this old rocker feel really good that the music he grew up with is still popular and is being played so well by such talented young people !! You guys totally rock !!
Face it we grew up spoiled musically and the fact these kids are killing it brings a much needed smile to this old man's face!!✌️💜🎶
amazing kids
It's my favorite LZ Album
I can’t believe how sophisticated, in the pocket and groovy this cover is from kids this young. Zep were the greatest, grooviest hard rock band of all time and this song shows their absolute mastery and these kids not just nailed it but did it more justice than adult Zep cover bands I’ve heard. And on top of that they have charisma to boot! I’m blown away. The future of music is bright if we can just get these 4 in the popular music world. I’m also a Dad and a massive Zep fanboy, so this really touches my heart and soul. Your parents are so proud!
Yeah...they are rockstars and once they start writing their own material they're gonna light the world on fire ! 🎼😀🤟
@@jamesschaidt1096 - Poo-tin wants to do that 😢
@@gilessmedley619 No, that would be "Joe Biden" and the rest of the Western ruling class
Great! That drummer had it so happening. Loved it all
This right here proves that there is still hope for real music. Fantastic! And Yoyoka beating those drums like they owe her money.
They're all great. The girl nails
Plant. Well done to all ❤❤❤
OMG! How cute is Ellen playing with the big kids!!! What a little legend. Great performance.
Yoyoka is 12, so I guess you can say Ellen is playing with the big kids. 😉
They are all very good, but the DRUMMER is killing it!
She has been drumming since she was 2 years old. Her family moved from Japan to the USA to help her drumming career.
It sure paid off in spades! I have been playing lead guitar for nearly 50 years. And I have always said that you can get by with average guitarist. But if you don't have a great drummer and singer, you are screwed!
Completely agreed.
It's a she? Wow
@@randyswanson6912 Yes, called Yoyoka. And she started drumming even before 2 yo: 18 months 😮
Id pay admission to watch this band do a full set.
The little bass player and drummer are outstanding! Great job, everyone !!!
Keep the classics alive, kids! You crushed it! 👍
It's damn hard to keep up with Bonham's bass drum work, this kid's a boss.
Her name is Yoyoka Soma from Hokkaido , Japan. Check out this young lady cover Zep's Good Times Bad Times, Burn - Deep Purple and Sunshine of your love and Rosanna by Toto. Mindblown.
I noticed that bass foot too ! 👍
@@georgecarlin2879 absolutely! She's AMAZING!!!
@@JohnDoe-jc3cl - Her triplets are spot on.
The drummer has great skills! The band is tight as well. 👏
These young very talented musicians playing a song 50 years old! Led Zeppelin songs will never die! Very awesome job!
There hope for the Human race. God bless these young Rockers ! 🤘
That Drum&Bass backline is impressively steady. You can build all kinds of things on top of a solid foundation like that. Well done!
Yoyoka has been world class drummer since age 9 It was obvious by age 6 where she was headed.
I’m so blown away by Ellen and Yoyoka especially, however the whole band is amazing. Such a difficult piece!
The little girl playing bass is rocking it! She is so cute!
The person playing the drums is outstanding.
That’s why the drummer girl is in the Top 500 drummers all time. She is called Yoyoka, search for her .
Yep😊
Yoyoka Soma. Check out her videos. She's amazing. Probably the best 12 year old drummer in the world.
They are all outstanding. I just love how cool the bass player is.
@@cosmicafrica Of the four here, the only one who is "outstanding" is the drummer. The singer is actually below-par, IMHO.
Rock will never die.. as long as talented kids pay attention..
I thought exactly the same!
@@sleepy4x talented kids helping save the world!
Bingo!!
and someone drops 60K on the gear.
Yeah! And there are more kids to see like Ale Villareal from The Warning, Ashley Suppa from Plush or Daisy Pepper among others, this generation will resuscitate Rock to its former glory (I hope)
That drummer's pocket is a canyon! Bass player heaven
That drummer absolutely murdered it coming out of the break! Absolutely outstanding! As a huge Led Zeppelin fan, all I can say is BRAVO! 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
This is the coolest thing I've seen in years. This band is so tight. You guys need to be on the main stage somewhere.
Yoyoka said something like, she _"caught the mood and the atmosphere"_ in the room, she _"was kinda catching all the energy"_ then she _"knew what she can do for the group":_ _ELLEN & YOYOKA Q&A_ th-cam.com/video/bcgr3iBn8gs/w-d-xo.html (12m7s to 15m46s)

_Robert Plant_ enjoyed Yoyoka's solo drum cover of Led Zeppelins "Good Times, Bad Times". He enjoyed it partly because she was enjoying herself so much. He also appreciated her ability: _Good Times Bad Times LED ZEPPELIN Cover_ th-cam.com/video/d8iYNZeMMZ0/w-d-xo.html (there are two versions)
Yoyoka _almost_ drops a drum stick, but she recovers without missing the beat. So she laughs and plays on. 😀

The bass player is killing it
this band just makes me smile. The young girl with the bass and the young man on drums are really dialed in. Fantastic performance !
Young girl actually, her name is Yoyoka from Japan. Look her up on YT
Same here, you can't help but smile watching this, and the little girl on the bass is great! She tickles me every time I watch this.
My thoughts exactly!
The drummer is a Girl from Japan.
Both girls lol
Fantastic drummer! I love the singer, perfect voice for this song.
Yoyoka is a beast on the drums! And so professional-- a total pro!
Great❤it shakes my 72 years old bones. Ellen I love you, and your mates too. Greetings from an old hippy lady from Germany❤❤❤
This was a favorite song of my father and I. He passed in July of 2020. Thanks for bringing back the fond memories of my dad and I listening to this classic Zeppelin jam. Rock on! 🤘
OMG !!! I didn't know Ellen & Yoyoka had found each other and did this ! Both prodigies. I hope to see a lot more of them working with each other. Two of the most talented young people I have seen in a long time.
How about “Driven to Tears?”
That brought tears to my eyes. Here's to a lifelong love of performing for these kids. ENCORE 🤘❤🤘
Ellen and that drummer was kicken ass wow, the whole band was good, so cool seeing the new generation playing the classics
The drummers name is Yoyoka she's 12 and they played awesome together hope its not the last time.
You can't have this kind of musicianship with the computerized garbage that passes for "music" these days. So yeah, the classics would be played a lot. 🙃
@@stimpy_thecat exactly, musicians play these old tunes because all you need to play modern music is a pile of computer crap. There is no challenge in playing this new stuff, if you want to challenge yourself you’ve got to get back to the classics!
YOU GUYS ROCK! It was so much fun meeting all of you and watching this live. First recording session I ever attended! You forgot to mention that everyone (except YOYOKA) was from the "School Of Rock" in Las Vegas. I loved how you all got along together, not always the case with musicians. Especially loved watching YOYOKA and Ellen being goofy and acting like kids. You all have made life long friends. And thanks to Hovak (Ellen's Dad) for arranging all of this and including YOYOKA. You did a great job on the filming, editing and well, just everything!
Thank you Glen ❤️
John Paul Jones . . . oh, that's Ellen. Your band is soo cool guys. Nice job. No fakes, just straight ZEPPELIN.
This vocalist is flipping AWESOME. Great voice. Serious contender.
Singer is flat
Let's not dismiss that young drummer.
All these reaction videos out there...I want to hear from Robert Plant!
They are obviously using effects on her voice. It is heavily doctored.
I love her voice and her body movements - very sexy!
Incredible! Full respect for these super ultra young musicians that play... Led Zeppelin in 2022!!! World is not lost, afer all! :) V.
What a fantastic cover. At first I thought I would be leaving a comment about how great the drummer is, but this is superb talent from all 4 of you. Glad to see some young people still appreciate good music! (I'm 'only' 40, so this is also before my time. I used to also be in the minority when I listened to this in the 90s)
I LOVE seeing Ellen with a band full on jamming. It gives a great chance to showcase her talent. The drummer is great too. Makes a killer rhythm section!
This is one of my favorite Zeppelin songs and I’ve seen so many bands cover this song live and they haven’t come close to how good this was. So impressed
Wow that little bass player Ellen did a great job. Youngest tight rhythm section I have seen. Zep boys would approve . Well with Yayoko you cant go wrong.
You all kick ass.
i'm 59.
I've been listening to Led Zeppelin for over half a century...thanx to 3 older brothers....
You folks are mighty impressive. Top to bottom.
I'm going to go look for other songs you guys have done, hopefully they exist.
Keep up the great work, and, dont forget to have fun.

Ellen and Yoyoka. Hope they become lifetime friends.
They are both gonna make a shit ton of money with this kind of talent
The talent here is mind boggling.

I love seeing younger folks rock out to the classics...
I've been in music for just shy of 60 years you guyz...... BRAVO.... Very nicely done, and they'd all be proud of you....
The bass and drums work so well together. They both have great feeling for rhythm. If you didn't know the drummer was 12 years old you'd guess this was a top professional.

Rock and roll will live forever thanks to awesome kids like these.
That's probably one of the best covers I've heard in a long time!! You kids Rock!!
I have seen the future of rock and this is it.
The sheer happiness on her face when she plays is absolutely amazing. Props to all of you!! Great job 👍
Spectacular. I remember when Yoyo was younger than Ellen is now, doing Zeppelin covers.
What a great and wonderful collaboration. Great to see how fast Ellen is moving up through music.
I can't get enough of this! They're all so talented, and The Ocean is my favorite Led Zeppelin song.
I can not believe they can teach a 50 years old person.. They are way better..
I am old enough have grown up listening to Zeppelin when their albums and singles were first released. And I was today years old when I discovered EllenPlaysBass, and I've been floored with every new video played.
Mad, MAD props on this cover! Every one of these young musicians has magic going on! Keep on rocking!
Unreal, the little girl on the drums just smoked EVERY drum cover of The Ocean I have ever seen.
Here hold my juice box while I play this set....
All 4 prodigies and Ellen's big smile puts a bow on top. OUTSTANDING
The little girl on drums is in the Top 15 female drummers all time 😉. Search for Yoyoka and you will find lots of ‘Bonzo’s’.
I thought it was boy. I'll have to check her videos out.
"...the little girl on the drums just smoked EVERY drum cover..." Yeah, she does that. Watch her cover of Deep Purple's _Burn._
Except for playing the song completely wrong.
HOW DARE YOU ASSUME HER GENDER!!
Just ran across Ellen today for the first time, Yoyoka, I've been watching for years, first time for Eva and Mateo. Then I came across this. WOW!!!!!! Kids now days, born with instraments in their hands. WOW!!!!!!!
