I was going to make this Ep 3 of my 5 Easy Tips to Succeed in Gears 5 series but I noticed that these are all movement based tips. I come from COD since COD4/Halo3/Gears2.. haven’t played since Gears 3 and honestly Gears 3 is probably one of the best competitive games… everything is satisfying

Do you recommend classic alt or defaulternate?
classic alt trust me get use to it and you’ll be pro
either one, classic alt is better in the long run though but harder to learn
Classic Alt is superior because it's impossible to roll while wall sliding. Defaulternate, there's a chance you roll instead of wall sliding
Could you explain the strafe when turning camera do you go forward with the left stick then turn the camera or just start your strafe by Turning camera?
Is FOV 90 on PC
comparable with XBOX FOV? Does anybody knows? :P Thx
80 is the XBOX FOV, so your 90 is a little bit higher but it's much more fun to play on

It's crazy! I stopped playing Gears in 2012 I think. I loved GOW3 and I got preety good too. I played for Whiskey Squad. Guardian and Execution. I stopped playing when GOW Judgement came out.
I didn't like the game. I liked" free 4 all " but on the whole, nope I didn't like it.
I stopped playing X box altogether.
Fast forward 10 years!!
My fiancee got me a X box for Christmas.

Blind fire. Wall bounce. Came natural but GOW5 I gotta practise lot's! Maybe play the campaign 1st and not jump straight into multi player.
Maybe play arcade mode for a few days till i get a feel for my shotty and timing.
It's preety frustrating. I thought I'd be able to jump right in.🙃

0:57 here's the thing: I've only been playing enough to reup once. i don't know what to expect from anyone, or what others expect, or what is good technique 3:29 (weird angle?), so it's hard to keep up with what you're saying

Problem is some players are afraid of wallbouncers. I EAT wallbouncers for dinner !! I seek them out because they are easy kills for me.
dont be fooled , killcams work fine,t hey just show the flaws of the game, the devs will try and create fake problems and 'fix' them to distract from them not dealing with the real problems

Whiskey Squad 26 RTI. I played for Onyx. RUNN3R. lots of competitive Gears.
I stopped playing when judgment was released. I didn't like the game and I stopped playing GOW till Christmas this year.

Slides to the walls without looking at them... is that all left stick ? I seem to roll a bunch when trying to bounce backwards. I have no problems moving forwards.

The first "small tip" helped me tremendously, never gave it second thought other then "I'm behind him how tf did he hit me"

They need to revert the shotgun back to gears 3 style with a tighter spread, so your shots will hit less unless you’re accurate but they do hard damage if hit
It will truly show the skilled players, good players will be able to 1V5 more often again
