That’s not a problem. I feel treat way too when I’m so certain I shot the guy and we don’t end up trading. But honestly that’s just the game being much better quality. The servers ring at 60 hertz. So the tick rate for the feedback for shit happening in game is must more responsive. So technically that allows for less trades to happen because one person did in fact shot before the other player so the servers are better able to display that. People traded so much but in gow 3 because the servers weren’t as good. So technically it’s a better quality game we’re playing bro.
Gears 5 makes me feel like I suck at Gears. I was really good in Gears 2 and even 3 but with 4 and 5 I cant seem to get it. How is an active reload at point blank only go 98%? Then people shoot me from further away and either go down in one hit or explode.

There is no difference in damage per shot done. Active reload does something different for each gun, and I believe most of them do end up being more damage because they increase things like headshot damage, decrease bullet spread, increase rate of fire, etc.

When I reaction shot or wrap around shot, instead of continuing to run straight out of the cover, I instead roadie run to where I just shot rather than the camera adjusting to where I am running. Very annoying and cant find an option to fix.

hey avexys and everybody else, i need your help. i am practicing reactions shots alot but i face a problem. i play m+kb on pc, and when i try to do shots like you on 7:39 THIS happens: i come out of cover pressing "space" and holding "w" and immediately move my mouse in the direction i want to shoot. so far so good but the character starts moving in that direction where i placed my shot. he just doesnt continue running STRAIGHT like u do in 7:39. wth am i doing wrong?
Alt is horrible. It doesn’t even register inputs properly, there’s some kind of delay when wall bouncing and you can’t shoot and wall bound at the same time.
My friends and I are having trouble with the wraparound shot. We can't seem to get a good shot around cover while holding sprint after up-A-ing. We have our sensitivities pretty high. Any suggestions?
Explanations could use some work at times but a good vid overall. Around 7:30 when you tall about the reaction shot you say "you are going this way and moving forward". Try to speak in terms of what the actual controller inputs are.

Honestly all you need is strafing, wall bouncing, and some pop shots in your arsenal to start taking over in quickplay matches. When you move onto ranked, it's more about positioning, and team communication. Playing tons of Co-op PvP on Advanced will also help!

Lol everyone is trippin, gears 5 headshot sound is definitely different than gears 1 - 4. I think gears 3 was the best, but gears 5 isn't necessarily bad. It is true that sometimes you hear the sound effect even when the game doesn't give you a headshot kill, because the enemies head does actually explode but I guess you hit their body more than their head lmao
I've been getting into gears more competitively, and these have helped a lot. I used to be inconsistent with gunfights, but now I find myself winning 70-80% of them. Thanks again for the great tips
I agree. But the gnasher whores didn’t like it. But I thought it was a fair trade for those who aren’t good with the gnasher. Instant death if you are at very close range, but easily punishable with your long ass reload if you miss.
I use to absolutely destroy every game with a sawn off it was incredibly op and soooo many gnasher whiners would get so incredibly pissed off with me haha! So I'm gutted there's no sawn off now I'm just gonna have to suck at every match again :(
I totally agree. It was the best weapon of the game. I killed thousands of those damn wallbouncers that ruin the game. When you could choose hammerburst, retro lancer, lancer and gansher and sawed off you had a lot o variety. Years 3 was the best PvP except for hammerburst cheaters with rapid fire (and they were a lot).

A lot of shots in gears 5 that would have been kill shots in 4 only hit for 95% can’t tell you how many times I be hitting people for 95%.......

Active reload no longer increases gnasher damage I believe.

The Coalition really should do something about wallbouncing . We didnt play like this back in 2006 and it really ruins the multiplayer
Agree. The sawed off killed almost all wallbouncers but now I'm using chainsaw but it is not the same.
