If you're curious, the difference in starting ships is that the "planetary ops" one has a ground vehicle hangar installed, while the other has more cargo space. What does it for me other than the fact it is a simulation of the Milky Way which brings me almost 80% there, is the fact that it runs almost better in VR! Horizons does at least anyway, and in VR it is utterly glorious even with just a gtx 980 and 10year old system. I have done all my grinding in VR all the SRV Grinds in VR racing round literally as fast as the srv will go it's amazing for me. While people complain endlessly about the grind, I don't see a problem at all. I have been playing only just a year or so and have 1 fleet carrier and can buy a second on my second character if I want already and have already engineered 2+ ships enough to do solo thargoid content. The grind is nothing compared to Wow or even eve online. You can dock yourself and you can do it really fast in VR. Good luck can't wait for oh I see the second video on the right :)
I just got into ED recently and although I still don't know what the hell I'm doing, it is a total blast in VR! The Varjo Aero is an awesome headset. I just bought a 6DOF motion rig (primarily for flight sims) and can't wait to try ED with VR AND MOTION!!!
@@Foxyloxy.X Man, its an experience hard to translate to words. The level of immersion and magnitude is just astonishing. Im playing in VR using a hotas 4 and is just mind blowing
I'll definitely play SC when it becomes playable (and on today's PCs) but I'll always return to ED for the FPS combat. They put early Halo FPS gameplay on 200,000 planets. Yes, pls.
Too many people say SC is so good that they move from ED to SC, now I tried it, I really wonder if those statements are true. But different person have different preferences, but the truth is ED is indeed a game
@@Foxyloxy.X 'The grass is always greener on the other side' comes to mind. I'm guessing many players want a game which is ED+SC+Starfield+GTAV+Flight Sim+half a dozen others, but we live in the real world not some digital utopia.
@@Foxyloxy.X yeah I still play both on and off. In my opinion ED has far more fun combat and interesting/unique weapons. This may change with master modes but I just don't like SC combat right now, despite it maybe having a higher skill ceiling... lol. But I'm farrrrrrrr more willing to trade bullshit back and forth across the galaxy when my progress actually matters. That is my main problem with SC right now, nothing matters. SC is just nowhere near ready, and for me it needs permanent reputation at a minimum to consider "playing" (criminals stay criminal, and out of my lawful space station until they have done 2 months of community service and rescue missions lol). ED has downsides too, and it's not really as "massive" as it may appear, streamers have tried to get like 30+ people into one location and you find the game creates different instances for people when they get too populated, and yeah 30 is like the max (something around there). So it's a bit of an illusion.. but in the end, most ED players I don't think even see other people, nor do they care lol
The problem many people face in Elite Dangerous is that it is a “sandbox” game. If you’re looking for a scripted play through, Elite isn’t for you. That said, in order to unlock everything you can do, you’ll have to dabble in everything offered. First up, however, is some advice that the game SHOULD offer, but doesn’t: 1) Take the time to study the options. Things aren’t always where you expect them to be. 2) Re-map your controls to make your ship fly the way it feels best to you. 3) For best experience, you WILL need to use 3rd party tools. 4) If you run into problems there IS help out there. Multiple player run groups have created safety nets for new and old players alike. Take a look into the Fuel Rats, and Hull Seals just to name 2. 5) Never fly without rebuy. 6) Always keep this in mind: “I don’t have a pre-planned set of objectives. I can go anywhere I want and do whatever I like.” If you have questions, most commanders are happy to answer. o7 Commander. Fly safe, and welcome to the galaxy.
personally, i enjoy the lack of 3rd person support, you can enable the photo camera and use it as a "third person mode" but its just better to sit in the cockpit. At first i also wanted to do that, but being "stuck" in the cockpit made the game 10x more immersive for me and i really like it that way. i think the basic keybind for photo mode is ctrl + alt + space but im not sure since i changed mine already, some stuff is unbinded by default so i reccomend going thru the keybinds and binding stuff where its comfortable (i did mine on the go, when i needed something i just quickly binded it)
@@Foxyloxy.X Yes! third person is amazing for screenshots and cinematic footage, i sometimes wish the range was bigger as i always have trouble getting good footage of my ship taking off. (small tip: if you ever want to use your cockpit as a frame, try ctrl + alt + G, if i didnt mess up the keybind this should turn off the hud) Fly safe, cmdr. o7
Join a squadron! Look on your right panel Squadrons, there you can see a listing of the rankings of them by category. Choose one that looks interesting and join. There will be people within the community who will help you along. If exploration is something you may like Elysium Star Empire is a good one.
Elite is the best space flight Sim in my opinion. Every other game flying feels more arcade like. The combination of sound design and control response make it feel like a real machine.
@@Foxyloxy.X sorry wrote that before i saw all your other videos. make a trip to the center of the galaxy. Its pretty awesome and start looking into the engineering missions and faction reward upgrades.
In the category "close to realistic" spacegames, Elite Odyssey (EDO) has virtually no competition at all EDO is a massive sandbox game with an entire 1:1 fullscale realistic Milkyway galaxy where players do have complete freedom to move around Milkyway galaxy stats in EDO as well as in reality: 100.000 ly diameter 4*10^11 starsystems, with planets, moons, ringsystems etc. Orbital mechanics, simulation of gravity of celestial bodies etc. It's a sandbox game, so we aren't bound to any storyline >20.000 populated starsystems with approx 275.000 stations, in human populated region "the bubble", a little spec in our galaxy, just 1000 ly across SC is just some kind of "cyperpunk" game, less than 100 static starsystems and even scaled down, no orbital mechanics In other way not really a spacegame I can imagine that many with some knowledge about astrophysics and spacetravel as it could be in a distant future, initially inspired by Star Trek series back in the days, would value a realistic spacesim with a good simulation of our own galaxy (the milkyway), including orbital mechanics according to the Newtonian law of gravitation EDO is the only option Some planets/ moons even tidal locked to their star/ planet is in reality In EDO you would recognize stars from our visible night sky (Stellarium link), as well as known stars from the ESA mission's Hipparcos and Tycho Catalogues are included Elite Dangerous contains a vast 1:1 scale simulation of the Milky Way galaxy based on real scientific principles elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Galaxy The Hipparcos and Tycho Catalogues www.cosmos.esa.int/web/hipparcos/catalogues Stellarium Web Online Star Map www.stellarium-web.org/
Is the performance issue that the first time Odyssey releases still an issue or is it better now? Back in the day when Odyssey first released, I heard some complaints from some player that their high end pc got so low fps?
How did you get past the log in because I had a buddy try to get the game about a month ago and we could never get him into past where it said he needed to purchase the game after he had already bought it so he ended up refunding it and will probably never touch it again sadly.
Have fun, it's a steep learning curve. It took me a long time to really get into the game. And do make use of websites like Inara and the forums to find things out.
Yup theres lot of more tool sites for ED thats for sure. Pitty that one of the most favourite ones, EDDB, just shut down :/ But Coriolis is also good for figuring out ship builds. And be prepared for a LOOOOOT of grind when you get into engineering ships! :/
o7. Elite Dangerous can be played with HOTAS/HOSAS and VR. It's a very cool experience. I also advise you to learn how to fly without a flight assistant - the control becomes more realistic.
Welcome, CMDR o7 And first thing you should to, fix your mouse speed way slower on settings! As even that Sidewinder is agile ship, it shouldn't be THAT agile! :D Fly safe.
Hope you enjoy your experience with Elite 😁 People often say it's got no depth to it. Well, from my perspective, it's the most in-depth space game there is, and a true sim. And for space enthusiasts? Absolue must hehe. Btw if you ever want to interact with other players, you will most likely need odyssey as thats where 99% of the players are and the instances are separate. The atmospheric planets are something absolutely wonderful as well!
If You can - play it in VR! It is breathtakingly awsome! You sit really IN the Cockpit. I still like it! Using Pimax 8kx with the 200 Degree FOV! It seems that Your vide FOV is Your Space-Helmet!
Welcome to Elite... you have a long road ahead of you lol.... its not really fair to compare it to SC, SC is smaller but prettier and has far more bugs, the elite universe is massive in comparison and as such the exploration in elite is unmatched if thats your boat, the mining is very different, deep core and subsurface mining are skill based, laser mining is pretty simple if you want to chill and grind credits that way while you watch a stream, the tools are very different as is the ship combat, ships are far more customisable in Elite.. as is the mechanics of combat, Flight Assist off is similar to flying decoupled but far more difficult, if combat is your thing the pip management in this game is critical to survival, weapons can be engineered with special effects, as well as shields and armour, you have also got module sub-targeting, wait until you engage a absolutely massive capital class ship in a conflict zone, where you knock out the turrets and other parts off of it, they are larger than Bajini point.. IMHO elite has it with ship combat especially when 2 factions are fighting over the same spot, or during a community event, you can have large furballs of npcs and players, on both sides, the biggest difference is players earn all their ships that include a carrier, and there are no wipes!
Most of the criticism about this game is from odyssey, which is all the on foot content, if you compare it to sc it's really rough. But if you stick to the ships, that's where this game is turely shines, really great combat system. I had some of the best moments I ever had in gaming playing Elite, like the first time I got pulled out of hyperjump by thargoid, it's turely terrifying and amazing
@@Foxyloxy.X I‘ve seen your latest video, if you are really into combat, fighting Thargoids is probaly something you want to try it out in the endgame, it's by far the most difficult npc to fight, much much harder than any human npc.
Nice video. I played SC for a bit and it's ambitious for sure but that's all I can say about it. I really don't like Chris Roberts as a person nor as a leader and I really don't think he has what it takes to get SC done. There is essentially nothing (outside of completing the game) to convince me otherwise. As for Elite it's apples to oranges, Elite is far more of a traditional sim than SC-- so aside from using camera mode there is no 3rd person. A lot of the people who left Elite are simply jaded, Elite was similar to SC at first in scope but a lot of the goals/ambitions have been abandoned and Fdev barely pays attention to Elite as such those players feel abandoned. SC offers hope, although I think it's false hope it's hope for some nonetheless. I'll never installed SC again (unless it switches hands) and whenever I'm in the mood for space related shenanigans I play Elite Dangerous.
Now that I played ED, I know exactly what you mean, I even tell my wife, if there is any game that can take me away from SC, it is a good game, then I found ED, and it does take me away from SC.
I play both SC and ED but consider Star citizen my primary space game. Star citizen and elite dangerous are both great games and have frustrating moments in their own ways. Looking forward to seeing more videos of you exploring the elite dangerous verse. o7 commander!!
this guys played it 10 months now and already got a fleet carrier when ive been playing it for like over a year now and i dont even have one lol (im not planning to have one anyways tho)
Welcome. Some of the views are quite beautiful but prepare for the long haul and grind. When you've advanced a bit why not visit our solar system and seek out the voyager probes,.
I’ll be interested to follow your experiences of ED. I’m really into space games generally, and so for me having tired of the pace of SC, and the level of bugs, I’ve been enjoying Mass Effect legendary, obviously am preparing for Starfield, and have also been toying with giving Elite Dangerous a go, as it’s a full game, and while seasoned players are fed up with it, I’ve heard there’s a tonne to do for people joining. Surprised you’ve not put this on the main channel but I’ll sub and be happy to watch your adventures.
I have over 10k hours in ED, and I play with many, many seasoned players every week. We all love this game for what it is already, and we're not always screetching for new content or making videos bemoaning the fact it doesn't have a new ship every five minutes. Don't let the ED doomtubers and their disciples fool you.
lol....either is fine, and I am glad to have you here, I will link those channels together when I finish a comparison video for ED and SC, and I just started this channel.
I've never tried SC as ED was more than enough for me, especially after the Horizons update allowed us to land on planets and mine resources for sale. The freedom to kit out my Krait Phantom with backup systems and just spend weeks getting as far from the bubble as possible to chart previously uncharted systems was what did it for me. Stumbling upon things I'd never heard of or seen before was amazing. In the end, it was just too much. Too much freedom for the time I had available to game...So my ship has been floating out in deep space for years.
This game has so many wonderful elements that gets marred by bad/lazy design later on, and you can judge that for yourself when you get to it. It's very enjoyable for a good chunk, depending on what you expect/want from it. Many people feel like FDev are slowly abandoning Elite, but there's still a good core group of people who still enjoy it for what it is. To me, they could be doing far more with this, but it feels pretty clear that they have a skeleton crew left working on this that relies completely on the grindy game loops to artificially extend gameplay through these minimal effort, copy/paste systems.
I see what you mean, so many star systems, definitely have a lot of potential to develop further and much better. But as a new player, I am already amazed by this 10-year old game.
I used to be obsessed with Elite: Dangerous, this game came the closest to being THE dream game. The developers have created an unmatched environment, all other space games I have tried don't come close to the sense of scale and the feeling you get while flying all the different ships! Unfortunately there basically is no "game" there and the developers seem to do their absolute best to ensure it permanently remains that way. This game has THE BEST space combat of any game I have ever played and is multiplayer, yet PvP never happens. The developers have created a special game system to cause PvP for those who are interested (Power Play) only to fumble a single variable at the very end and make all the Power Play activities possible in "Solo" mode, completely destroying the purpose. "Please, make Power Play, the mechanic specifically designed to cause PvP, not work in Solo" is the number 1 most upvoted issue on their issue tracker and has been for YEARS. Yet they continue to ignore it and everything else that the community asks them. Everything about Elite is "99% there". Yet it's that 1% that makes all the difference. A perfect racing game with no finish line. A beautiful RPG with no quest line. A tactical PvP shooter with no objective or round timer. I hope you enjoy your time here. Please, for the love of all holy, DO NOT bother with Odyssey. It's by far the worst thing that has happened to this game. Enjoy the universe, the ship combat, the mining. And when you try it all and start thinking about what to actually do in the game - uninstall before you get too addicted and this question becomes stuck in your head forever.
The BGS (background sim) is one part of the end-game. Start manipulating influence and factions and it's hard to stop. As for Odyssey, I take the polar opposite view. Absolutely love it.
ED and SC both have their strengths and weaknesses. But ED has it for me, it's just more stable and more things to do. Yes SC can be prettier, but ED is more accessible. Enjoy your time playing, only 0.07% of the galaxy has been discovered so far. Go make your mark!
Its a shame you're just started Elite Dangerous now...back in its prime ED was so awesome so full of promises and now its a husk of it's former self...I've spent hundreds of hours on ED I have all the end game ships but couldn't and wouldn't want to grind it out to mod fully. I do play every now and than but its only when I want mine and chill.
Good to hear this honest opinion as I delve deep into this game. I am very new to this game and a lot of things seem really great, especially compared with star Citizen
For a new player ED is still full of promise and full of things to do. And getting hundreds of hours out of any game these days is a miracle - let alone my 10,000 on ED alone.
Kudos to you if you like it man, but you picked perhaps the worst time possible to pick up this game - support, content and updates from Frontier studios are on an all time low. For all practical purposes, Frontier isnt in it anymore (theyre going mobile-games).

Thanks for the comments, VR is very tempting after reading that!
Yes, pls.
And ofc then added stealth/infiltration mechanics and meaningful progression.
agreed
you're the first person I've heard of going from SC to ED. ED is a good long grind, but it's at least a game lol
Too many people say SC is so good that they move from ED to SC, now I tried it, I really wonder if those statements are true. But different person have different preferences, but the truth is ED is indeed a game
@@Foxyloxy.XSC needs a lot more content and fix their jank... I'm sick of the Stanton system by now (since Kickstarter) and want to go further
The Camera Suite (ctrl, alt spacebar) offers some external views while flying.
o7 - welcome to Elite CMDR!
The problem many people face in Elite Dangerous is that it is a “sandbox” game. If you’re looking for a scripted play through, Elite isn’t for you.
That said, in order to unlock everything you can do, you’ll have to dabble in everything offered.
First up, however, is some advice that the game SHOULD offer, but doesn’t:
1) Take the time to study the options.
I can go anywhere I want and do whatever I like.”
If you have questions, most commanders are happy to answer.
o7 Commander. Fly safe, and welcome to the galaxy.
5) should be 1) and also 6) o7
Thank you for all these bullet points and wonderful tips for my journey ahead.
personally, i enjoy the lack of 3rd person support, you can enable the photo camera and use it as a "third person mode" but its just better to sit in the cockpit.
At first i also wanted to do that, but being "stuck" in the cockpit made the game 10x more immersive for me and i really like it that way.
i think the basic keybind for photo mode is ctrl + alt + space but im not sure since i changed mine already, some stuff is unbinded by default so i reccomend going thru the keybinds and binding stuff where its comfortable (i did mine on the go, when i needed something i just quickly binded it)
yeah, I love the 1st person immersion, 3rd person usually I do for some cinematic effect for the video. I am glad ED has both options
@@Foxyloxy.X Yes! third person is amazing for screenshots and cinematic footage, i sometimes wish the range was bigger as i always have trouble getting good footage of my ship taking off.
(small tip: if you ever want to use your cockpit as a frame, try ctrl + alt + G, if i didnt mess up the keybind this should turn off the hud)
Fly safe, cmdr. o7
Welcome CMDR 07. Plenty of others here to help if you need it
Thanks!
Join a squadron! Look on your right panel Squadrons, there you can see a listing of the rankings of them by category. Choose one that looks interesting and join. There will be people within the community who will help you along. If exploration is something you may like Elysium Star Empire is a good one.
thx!
Elite is the best space flight Sim in my opinion. Every other game flying feels more arcade like. The combination of sound design and control response make it feel like a real machine.
go to nearest suns beacon and scan ships for bounties. will help the most for maneuvering and will get you some good credits for next ship.
👍
@@Foxyloxy.X sorry wrote that before i saw all your other videos. make a trip to the center of the galaxy. Its pretty awesome and start looking into the engineering missions and faction reward upgrades.
Will definitely do that. Thx
Happy birthday CMDR.
Thx!
In the category "close to realistic" spacegames, Elite Odyssey (EDO) has virtually no competition at all
EDO is a massive sandbox game with an entire 1:1 fullscale realistic Milkyway galaxy where players do have complete freedom to move around
Milkyway galaxy stats in EDO as well as in reality:
100.000 ly diameter
4*10^11 starsystems, with planets, moons, ringsystems etc.
Orbital mechanics, simulation of gravity of celestial bodies etc.
It's a sandbox game, so we aren't bound to any storyline
>20.000 populated starsystems with approx 275.000 stations, in human populated region "the bubble", a little spec in our galaxy, just 1000 ly across
SC is just some kind of "cyperpunk" game, less than 100 static starsystems and even scaled down, no orbital mechanics
In other way not really a spacegame
I can imagine that many with some knowledge about astrophysics and spacetravel as it could be in a distant future, initially inspired by Star Trek series back in the days, would value a realistic spacesim with a good simulation of our own galaxy (the milkyway), including orbital mechanics according to the Newtonian law of gravitation
EDO is the only option
Some planets/ moons even tidal locked to their star/ planet is in reality
In EDO you would recognize stars from our visible night sky (Stellarium link), as well as known stars from the ESA mission's Hipparcos and Tycho Catalogues are included
Elite Dangerous contains a vast 1:1 scale simulation of the Milky Way galaxy based on real scientific principles

Thank you for the detailed explanation of the scale of this game, i am so glad I picked it up, and thx for the resources and links! o7
Is the performance issue that the first time Odyssey releases still an issue or is it better now? Back in the day when Odyssey first released, I heard some complaints from some player that their high end pc got so low fps?
I read comments here, many people say Odyssey has been fix to the major parts, so it is much better now
I recommend seperate yaw and roll of the mouse input.
I saw the name foxy i wasn't sure but the moment i heard your voice i knew lol from star citizen to ED welcome CMDR Foxyloxy o7
You are probably the second person from my SC channel to find me, and I am keeping a list. Welcome and thank you!
How did you get past the log in because I had a buddy try to get the game about a month ago and we could never get him into past where it said he needed to purchase the game after he had already bought it so he ended up refunding it and will probably never touch it again sadly.
I eventually used Steam and linked my ED account with steam, but the verification process is a hassle
@@Foxyloxy.X Okay that makes sense, I've never seen a game with a login so tight that you know it's going to be driving people away.
Elite Dangerous is best space simulator (especialy space fights and exploration) at the moment .. there is nothing better ..
Have fun, it's a steep learning curve. It took me a long time to really get into the game.
And do make use of websites like Inara and the forums to find things out.
Thanks for the tips
Yup theres lot of more tool sites for ED thats for sure. Pitty that one of the most favourite ones, EDDB, just shut down :/ But Coriolis is also good for figuring out ship builds. And be prepared for a LOOOOOT of grind when you get into engineering ships! :/
Welcome to the black Commander. o7
PS Feel free to use the facilities on my Fleet Carrier! :o)
Are you planning to play STARFIELD, which releases TOMARROW, if you get the pre-order?
Yes
o7.
Elite Dangerous can be played with HOTAS/HOSAS and VR. It's a very cool experience. I also advise you to learn how to fly without a flight assistant - the control becomes more realistic.
Welcome, CMDR o7
And first thing you should to, fix your mouse speed way slower on settings! As even that Sidewinder is agile ship, it shouldn't be THAT agile! :D
Fly safe.
Totally agree!
@OP You played Star Citizen? I didn't knew it has released, probably missed the news.. :(
lol...man I laughed really hard reading this. No it is not released, and probably will never release before Chris get a very comfortable retirement
I changed the controls to what SC are.
same
If You can - play it in VR! It is breathtakingly awsome! You sit really IN the Cockpit. I still like it! Using Pimax 8kx with the 200 Degree FOV! It seems that Your vide FOV is Your Space-Helmet!
That was in my plan, probably this Christmas I will get it.
@@Foxyloxy.X But it gets more Hardware-hungry in VR!
Try it in VR. Mind blown boggley eyes 100% guaranteed.
Thanks for the nice overview of Elite, it is certainly a well finished game and so much more to explore and to do.
Wow, I am looking forward to be pull by that thargoid which I have no idea what it is, but will do some research on it.
@@Foxyloxy.X I‘ve seen your latest video, if you are really into combat, fighting Thargoids is probaly something you want to try it out in the endgame, it's by far the most difficult npc to fight, much much harder than any human npc.
Sounds like you saying "Elite Danderous" 😄
lol
Elite: Dangerous has troubles of its own, but it's certainly mature.
indeed
I continue to enjoy both games.
I remembered back in the days when we didn’t even have a tutorial to begin with😂
Dont know if you dont use Joypads with analog sticks at all but that makes it so much more fun to fly.
Just got them set up, indeed very immersive with flight sticks
@@Foxyloxy.X 👍😁
Please, buy or borrow an Quest 2 (recently discounted) and take another look around the universe.
This Christmas, I promise
Enjoy!
First flight, great
this guys played it 10 months now and already got a fleet carrier when ive been playing it for like over a year now and i dont even have one lol (im not planning to have one anyways tho)
o7 Commander
Best tip: ask for help. 😊
Welcome. Some of the views are quite beautiful but prepare for the long haul and grind. When you've advanced a bit why not visit our solar system and seek out the voyager probes,.
Voyager probes?!! Dang, that is nice, need to grind it up and visit "Our solar system"
You are probably the very first person to find me from my SC channel. Welcome and thank you for the sub.
I have over 10k hours in ED, and I play with many, many seasoned players every week. We all love this game for what it is already, and we're not always screetching for new content or making videos bemoaning the fact it doesn't have a new ship every five minutes.
Don't let the ED doomtubers and their disciples fool you.
@@Foxyloxy.X The algorithm recommended your new channel, and I was more than surprised to recognise your voice Capt.. or should I say Cmdr now :)
lol....either is fine, and I am glad to have you here, I will link those channels together when I finish a comparison video for ED and SC, and I just started this channel.
Definitely add Odyssey.
ED does have a really good camera drone function with about a hundred controls. I think the default might be ctrl+alt+space, but check your keybinds.
Yep, the camera control is the very first thing I must figure out and be good at so I can make good videos with it. Thanks!
@@Foxyloxy.X Its great fun!
You never quite know whats gonna happen next! o7
That just sounds amazing, can't wait to try that later,
have fun!
while you can :D
This game is so fun with flight controller
Welcome to the dark side ;)
Star citizen? oh yes, the ship buying game, nothing else works.
Lol...you are not far from the truth.
Imagine we got the scale of Elite dangerous but with Star Citizen details...😭
Why don't you have a joystick lol
thank you, for your nonbaise view.
Absolutely love it.
thanks for the tips!
lol what, I do PVP all the time :D
Just heard of Elite Dangerous? Have heard of Mario Bros.? It's pretty good too.
what is Mario Bros?
ED and SC both have their strengths and weaknesses. But ED has it for me, it's just more stable and more things to do. Yes SC can be prettier, but ED is more accessible.
Enjoy your time playing, only 0.07% of the galaxy has been discovered so far. Go make your mark!
Thank you o7
Its a shame you're just started Elite Dangerous now...back in its prime ED was so awesome so full of promises and now its a husk of it's former self...I've spent hundreds of hours on ED I have all the end game ships but couldn't and wouldn't want to grind it out to mod fully. I do play every now and than but its only when I want mine and chill.
Good to hear this honest opinion as I delve deep into this game. I am very new to this game and a lot of things seem really great, especially compared with star Citizen
For a new player ED is still full of promise and full of things to do.
And getting hundreds of hours out of any game these days is a miracle - let alone my 10,000 on ED alone.
and also, use a joystick
got it
Kudos to you if you like it man, but you picked perhaps the worst time possible to pick up this game - support, content and updates from Frontier studios are on an all time low. For all practical purposes, Frontier isnt in it anymore (theyre going mobile-games).
Btw if you want to see if your landing gear is deployed , just look on the lower right part of the screen , the box in front of it should be filled.
got it
It the game was more focused on exploring instead of just getting bounties and fueling then it wouldve been a great game.
you are playing it all wrong. This game is all about Virtual reality and headphones. not 2d screen and speakers
