A very young Ren performs short snippets of a number of iconic tracks whilst busking in the street.
A rare treat for Ren fans courtesy of Banjeeee in 2011 taken from cell phone footage.

Man my brother Ren has had that talent for a long time. Its really cool seeing these older videos after watching so many of his newer songs. From this time to now Ren went thru so much. Its really nice to see this but it breaks my heart to know what is coming for him. Keep fighting that fight Ren. You mean so much to so many people
I also keep my fingers crossed every day that everything turns out well for Ren. Let's all believe in it together!

Wow this is amazing - thanks for posting this. Guess Ren was about 21 here - to have that much confidence at such a tender age and the talent already blossoming, it's really no wonder he is turning heads around the world now.

Probably even younger. He was incredibly ill by the time he was 21.
It was probably around this time that the agent from Sony saw Ren busking and signed him up to Sony . I wish I could have whispered in young REN’s ear - that every thing will be alright just like Marley’s song . But it would take a while and he would have to go to hell and back but in the end he would be alright .

So much talent/confidence. Maybe not brilliantly prepared in terms of what material he was going to play. Even then I would have stopped my day to listen to him.
I believe he was actually using a technique for audience engagement. Singer/guitarists and buskers especially, rarely struggle with song selection.

Ren is such a blessing and a breath of fresh air. His music has inspired so many people!
It breaks my heart knowing soon after this he went through so much, thankfully he finally found the help he so desperately needed to get better.
His music has touched so many lives, he has always had such talent and definitely a legend.

This amazing video is only gonna grow with time. Thank you so much for hanging on to this and sharing it - it is and will be a true treasure to watch from now until forever. Since I was so lucky to come upon Ren's music and videos like 3 months ago and continue to gradually discover more and more, I'm convinced he is a legend of our time blowing up right in front of us. No artist has moved me or captured me like this since Radiohead in 1997 - so the first and only time in 27 years? That is crazy and wonderful to me - a joyful surprise to say the least. I had no idea he had these skills back then but of course he did! To see him in this time is awesome and unexpected. Again, thanks! Peace and light/
