I've seen this video as soon as it came out, I don't know why I got around to leaving a comment just now 😆😆 I kinda regret not mentioning this in my video, because I got a lot of questions about it afterwards, but yes, you are correct: a functioning service NPC is a household + Orig. Guid. The reason why is because: 1. If it was just the household, then the game wouldn't know what NPC to spawn for each job (they share households) 2. If it was just the Orig. GUID, then the game would try to employ Sims that have been added to a playable family (after all, you can marry Sims like maids, delivery people or gardeners without cheats or mods). You can use Lazy Duchess's mod or rather an add on for the RPC launcher - it's called [TS2] Sim Bin NPCs [at their Patron]. It takes sims from your sim bin [from body shop] - their appearance. It spawns NPC-s with your looks

Ooo I hope I can make the OFB reviewer. My method for custom townies was to spawn them with the NPC & Townie Maker gun and then use Alt Sim Surgery to give them a new face/appearance. However I always have to wait for the game to spawn an OFB reviewer naturally since they aren’t an option on the townie gun. I also wonder how the game will react if you use your method to “break the rules” for gendered NPCs like the matchmaker and nanny has to be an elder female and the Headmaster has to be male, and the Butler has to be male, etc.
This is such a great discovery for custom neighbourhood creation! I usually edit already generated NPCs using Alt Surgery in SimPE, but your way is just brilliant (especially after all these trials and errors). It will definitely come in handy. Thank you! 👏🏻

I'm glad you alse still use the insiminator a lot, I feel like it's never mentioned or recommended anymore but I love having the version where you can click on the floor and spawn all the various objects for it :) I use it all the time for summoning then deleting sims from lots while doing makeovers, sorting their careers out, fitness, reproduction...
I want to create an army of Servos that look like regular Sims and replace every service NPC with them. This way, I won’t have to manually age them up along with my other Sims during my rotational, immersive playthrough. I even have a storyline planned for the Servo takeover! I just don’t like the idea of regular Sim NPCs being immortal forever.
*looking at my historical fantasy hood* Time to get to work and finally make them blend in without having to use default replacements (which I don't like because I sometimes also play modern)
@@Marticore that is unfortunate but I could decide their general look as well as their everyday, formal, etc. and just click the hacked computer to change them into that. Currently I always spawn them on Sim owned community lots and have to sell them the clothes I want them to wear and convince them to get a make over which is a bit tedious. Yeah I could use gussy up but I'm too lazy to install it.

Can you make multiple pollination technicians next? Please I can't take it anymore I can't take all my alien babies being related. Please 😭 My family trees are starting to look more like circles. Also recently my alien Sim got pollinated by his own father so... Kinda awkward 😬
you can! i haven't played in a while so i can't say what it's called, but there's definitely a debug object that exists in vanilla game that allows you to generate a new NPC of whatever type you want i played with anti-redundancy mod but used that to make a few extra sims for the most used NPC types for some variety

I think the matchmaker looks/sounds like an elder but is actually just an adult or something like that, unless I'm mistaking her with something else.

I mostly use Sim Manipulator for this stuff, but InSimenator is easier to navigate in my folder to just copy and paste :D

You can just add them to family via cheat and they'll become playable, it's perfectly reversible!
