Many times I have sat right there in that auditorium and also as a Volunteer, for our SAG-AFTRA Foundation, gaining inspiration to "NEVER GIVE UP" in pursuing my dream (goal). Eddie Murphy is such a legend. He was the first black actor to be a huge box office draw resulting in him being the being the biggest Hollywood star in the world during the 80s which was rare for a black actor at the time. He paved the way for Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx etc. He has at least 10 classic films in his career. At this point in his career he has nothing to prove. Can't wait for the 'Coming to America' sequel. It's going to do massive at the box office.

    • @MrRealbrotha
      @MrRealbrotha 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Richard Pryor was the first black actor with box office draw. He signed the biggest movie deal before Eddie. Eddie stated that Richard was his influence. the influence Richard had can be mostly seen on WHICH WAY IS UP and LIVE IN CONCERT..the first comedy concert film of it's time.

    • @nullunit
      @nullunit 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He said next Christmas, he might be going against one of those crazy phase 27 Marvel movies. I think Coming to America 2 could compete though. I'll take my big ass to the theater for that shit.

There are some flicks he has done that tanked at the box office that i really dig conceptually. Can't wait to see his stand up tour. i love watching Eddie watching his life replaying in his own world on his projection. You can tell he's present and yet VERY multidimensional because he's looking through his own VR glasses.
    he can't even help but be humorous...its mostly his charm and charisma then it just so happens he looks good.
