- Finally got to attend my first ACL (American Cornhole League) Regional event! It was hosted by C4 Cornhole in Berryville, Arkansas. I had a great time and am already marking up my calendar to make several more tournaments this winter. #cornhole #acl

Nice simple video. Going to my first one this weekend to just play singles and maybe a blind draw. Just gonna go for the experience. Not sure I'm there yet for an so day thing.
I just played my first 2 ACL events, the #5 open at VA beach and a regional. Nerves got me at VA Beach but I did better at the regional and I also discovered a slower bag helped me be more consistant and agressive. It drassticly reduced my bags off percentage and I carried that into 2 blind draws last weekend and finished 1st and 2nd in those with the same bags and throw. Looks like you had a good time, I’m the same way I started off with faster bags and had the same problem I wasn’t accurate enough so I got some of the slower carpet bags and began to change up my game to block air mail learning how to cut and flop it just seems to be a lot more fun also to throw out blocker bags and then watch your opponent deal with them, I think the direction of cornhole seems to be going to more carpet bag throwers I think because of the amount of tricks that can be done especially with the young guns coming up most of them are throwing carpet for the very reason of dirtying up the boards and making the game more fun. Carpet defnitely equalizes things it seems if you are playing a fast bag thrower that just wants to go hole for hole!
@@cornholenoob Carpet bags like the viper-r, I love them because the carpet side is slow enough yet doesn't kick nearly as much as other sticky/carpet bags.

I notice that I need to go to a venue at least once to get used to it. I never throw good at a new place.

@@cornholenoob Yup. Different board speeds. Different surrounding/environment. Even the different board patterns. Different lighting. Better/worse players at a venue also impact the mental game a ton.
