Cornhole Noob
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 มิ.ย. 2022
Taking you along as I try to go from Cornhole beginner to Cornhole novice and have fun doing it. I have played here and there over the years, but have finally decided to actually learn the game. I will be working on technique, upgrading equipment, and hopefully entering a few tournaments!
This Cornhole Tournament Changed Everything
Just got back from the American Cornhole Organization major in Branson Missouri. We had a great time over there, played some cornhole, had some good drinks, and layed by the pool and snagged a sunburn. This cornhole event literally got me involved in the sport of cornhole and it has been such a fun journey so far! #cornhole

Hurt playing Cornhole?! (Surprising truth)
มุมมอง 29214 วันที่ผ่านมา
When you think of sports injuries cornhole is not the sport you think of. But they do happen and have had me out of commission for a significant amount of time. Paying attention to your body, resting when neccesary, and a few more things you can do to prevent and treat any aches and pains that may come along with playing cornhole. #cornhole

Cornhole Rule Problem or Opportunity?!

The American Cornole League changed their tournament rules for the 2023/2024 season to include a new step rule. Or more specifically what you can do with your feet on the step follow through and where you must remain within the cornhole pitchers box. @MikesBags did a great video on the subject and I am going to react to it here with my take on the what acl was looking to accomplish with this co...

I dig it. I always say if it works for you, stick with it. No need unless someone's pitching in, to spend 4x the amount for a Z. Granted, will the Z last longer and is it made better...of course, but just starting and getting you there, this backpack will more than do the job well!
Thanks for sharing the thoughts and your own insight! Appreciate it, stay well man!
🔥
Just getting started playing doubles tournaments. Great tios
Have fun!
Who watches corn hole in 2024 😭

Guy in the back waiting for the hand🤣

Does cornhole sound like a guy sex thing to anybody else? I mean, not me, but other people... nevermind, ignore that.
Opponent gave props👍👍 I’m not a fan whatsoever, but this is pretty damn cool
Relax it’s cornhole lol
But didn’t you hear that move would never even be on the mind of an elementary player!!😂
Old guys rule
Cornhole hehehe
@@bbearc3552what exactly do they rule? Retirement homes?
ACO came to the UK in march and put in a great event for the first ACO Europe ever, everyone was so friendly and helpful , I'm new to the game and feel I learned more in that weekend than I had in the first 6 months of playing, my 10 year old son also won the juniors to be the first international major winner in the ACO, can't wait for them to return next year
Thats awesome
@@cornholenoob loving your content as well, glad you are back at it, keep it coming 👍💪
Awesome man! I’m playing in the BG nationals in Houston next month. My first one 🙃
Lets gooooo
Local kid from here in NETX Levi Haddock dominated!
He was amazing
Can you recommend any practice tools how you keep such a straight line when you have to cross your body.. versus playing on the other side.. or is it just a matter of repetitions
Check out some of my practice vids, but it is still a work in progress for me as well
Shoulders nice and quiet sick flip with a flat bag... You're getting me more motivated brother. Just when I think I have my release down I'm looking to gain consistency good job here
Thanks man
Those boards look super fast nice pick up by the way
Ty sir
Great advice. Appreciate it.
Glad it was helpful!
I get pain on the right (throwing) side of my neck after events or long practices in the yard. I’m 56, in great shape, and lift daily. I’m just surprised it keeps happening-even after playing consistently for months now. Anyone else get this?
For me it's weird that I can lift weights with no issue, but slinging a bean bag can send fire up my arm lol
Dicks sportingoods in CA also has this
Nice
You can also check out Wim Hof and learn how breath work can help heal your inflammation. He has a guided breathing video to help you get started. Going into the cold via cold showers or ice baths will help tremendously as well. Good luck and keep healing up!
Awesome thank you
I have a torn rotator cuff from my days playing disc golf for 20 years. When I play cornhole too much I get sore. Limits how much I can practice. Eventually I get elbow pain too. I found that resting until it gets better then start training my grip strength with grippers helps too. I work in the office too and grip strength training helps keep carpal tunnel at bay too.
Heading to Amazon to order grippers
@cornholenoob make sure to also get the extensor bands too. You need to do both squeeze exercises and finger extension exercises. When I started I could only squeeze like 90lbs, now I can squeeze 140lbs.
been dealing with shoulder pain for the last 6 months, seems like throwing too much combined with trying to learn the roll bag, the elbow rotation just killed my shoulder. I thought it was bicep tendonitis but not sure it might be more of a rotator injury. Resting is hard when you love playing so much!
Hope it heals up soon sir
I have been a stepper since day one. I don't see very many other people doing it, but, for me, it just doesn't feel right if I don't step. :)
Flat bagging that hole!
Hope all is good and you're out fishing.
Only two tournaments this year and very little cornhole, elbow issues that won't heal up
I like your set up, how big is the turf under your boards? I have access to turf and would like to do the same.
5x7 turf
Why have a foul line at all if you are gonna allow a grey area around the line? Just a simple rule, can’t cross the line at any pint until the round is over.
Amen
If you just step to give yourself more momentum, start your throw farther back than right at the front of the board. If you want to throw from the front of the board, learn not to step when you throw.
Have you been playing a lot of ACO tournaments? I’ve noticed you haven’t made any videos in five months , Reason I’m asking I was debating on whether or not joining the ACO. They’re starting to move into our area and I was wondering what your thoughts were
I planned on playing a bunch, injury had me down, but on comeback trail
What size is the turf
4x7
To me,stepping is adding another motion to the throw, less is better in my opinion,
Facts
I hate people calling it Cornhole, its bags, ask anyone from the Midwest, we're the ones who popularized it
Ohio calls it cornhole
@@cornholenoob Ohio has a a river so polluted that it's caught fire multiple times

Hopefully, everything is alright! Looking forward to more videos 😊
Coming soon
Ive been throwing the new CBC Ronins for a couple weeks now. Love em. Slightly faster than the Carbons, and they seem to not be as effected by humidity changes. Great bags!
Right on
Dumb rule! Like you said just like basketball if the bag is released before you cross the line it should be good! And everyone should have the option to do it! Just let them play
I'd like to hear your comment about palm to the sky. When I do this, I get a tilted bag up to the left, so I don't turn my palm to the sky unless I'm trying to cut the bag to the left. Would like to you hear your thoughts. Thanks
Same here, it also strains my elbow too much
Thanks bud
Hey Gunner, I had the pleasure of personally meeting you at the stepbrothers tournament a few weeks back. I was really struggling with my flat bags and was very inconsistent. I watched this video several months ago and I was blown away at how much better I played. I started reverting back to my inconsistencies so I watched your video again the other day and came in 1st place twice. Thank you so much for sharing.
While playing ghostholio, put blocker bag(s) to simulate a real world scenario.
Awesome tip
When it comes to sliding up the board & airmails, i try to keep everything the same, for consistency. In terms of "shot making" i think you should practice manipulating your grip every way you can. Just my personal non pro opinion😂😂
Reynolds bag I throw with love them
These look awesome. Going to get a set. @Cornhole Noob Have you heard/tried the Reynolds thunder yet?
I wish you'd review the CBC Phoenix. I love my CBC Carbons. But sometimes I need more speed. Have my eye on the Phoenix for high humidity
Ant watch when people don’t step
Bought 2 sets. Love em!
I loved the dead reckones won a tournament withe sebastian barger one of CBC's pros
Whats the distance between the boards or pads
27 feet front edge to front edge
You bring up a good point, it is a mental game and doing that could cause a momentum shift. But who's gonna be the one bold enough to call that on national tv? I can also see this rule being abused by players to cause issues. I think the broadcast court should have an official to make those calls and not leave it to the players.
Definitely a under used strategy
I always play against myself, one side tries to run them in the hole the other tries to hole contol block and push. That way you learn how to adapt to different situations and work on both skillsets.
