Great gem rate. So one thing to note when inspecting cards. Edges always get overlooked. That Julio gold black gold - here's betting it's got a rough edge somewhere under magnification. That card looks perfect centering and corners wise. Surface and edges count too. I find edge issues on a lot of my cards that I hold back even if the card looks gem everywhere else. The loupe is essential when looking at edges.
I wish PSA would provide grading notes with your order so you can see why some cards got 8s... like its impossible to tell sometimes why they look just as good as the 10s or 9s.
Cards like the Black Gold Julio are the reason subgrades or a simple grading breakdown would give so much more credibility to grading as a whole. Why do we have to guess why a card is a 9 instead of a 10.
I have a psa 10 black border black gold Julio. But also have a lot of PSA 9 black golds that I thought would gem. Those inserts are gorgeous but savagely hard to gem.

Nice Job Stryker! The first few grades told you that you had gotten a realistic grader at PSA which is total luck of the draw anymore, cause looks like the QA1 step is currently just being skipped. See baseball card collector vid for example of what a beat down can look like when you get someone completely uncalibrated.
That Slabbing mentality, 90% come back a 10 and that one that comes back in a 8 and you have no idea why, bothers you forever. PSA's sadistic pleasure. By the way, I have had zero success re-subbing numbered cards, especially bigger cards. Pretty sure they look at their database now that they take pics

I pulled that same Cj Abrams Stars of Mlb red parallel as yours. It’s the second red I’ve pulled with the other being a series 1 Juan Soto chrome red /75. They are definitely a hard pull when you look at the amount of Update you opened to get your Abrams. I would say I lucked out with mine seeing how it was pulled out of the 1 of 3 hangers that were left just chillin at my local Walgreens about two months ago. I have opened probably 30-40 blasters and hangers combined total. Of course you’ve pulled some serious 🔥out of the cases you’ve opened, in fact I’d say I’ve never seen someone pull so many cool parallels and numbered monsters as you have.
You have better luck than most with PSA. Congrats! I was considering sending in my Julio Independence Day and some other cards but I'd require the minimum grade 10 route because the cards look perfect and I'm not playing the bad mood grader game and getting a 9. Thanks for sharing!

I want the guy at PSA who grades your orders . I'm SUPER picky with what I send an they never gem the more expensive cards so I crack them an get the 9.5 with bgs. It's BS

When i do reveal slab grades,, just put them face down that way you dont have to mess with cards.. and i turn them like a sloth...lol.. and thats a nice lot.. p.s. haven't watched in a while but i would love to see julio pc and more.. but keep the grind and stay blessed with success and nothing less 💯

I'm here in SoCal, I submitted a 30 card submission, had a previous PSA grader look over my cards and he said at a minimum, I'd get atleast 20 cards back at a 10. Went to my local LCS who submits a lot and he said the same thing.... well, 9 came back PSA 10. Not sure what you do but I follow all the necessary steps and still get screwed over. I'm pretty much done with PSA.
The pop report on Sapphire is very interesting Game rate is super good so far on Bobby true rookie but the Julio gem rate is much worse. I say this as someone who sent in both and got a 10 on Bobby and 9 on Julio. Always interesting. Bobby must have been in the center of the sheet where Julio might have been near the edge.
I’ve pulled like multiple Julio & Witt SP / SSP’s and other awesome parallels from update and I have yet to pull a gold Witt or Julio . I pull so many awesome cards out of update but wrong damn players!! Gah frustrated 😢😢 Update grades sooo well both Witt Sp & SSP both came back psa 10s!!
Hey Stryker, which Bobby Witt SP is worth more? I have the series 2 SP #660 that i pulled last year. The update SP is definitely a better looking card but the #660 SP came out first so I'm not sure which one is more valuable. Thanks!
How do you determine what your going to send off and determine what you think it will get because I’m getting stuff graded for the first time and I’m wondering what it will grade. Love these your gem rate is crazy
Great cards! Having to guess why the card graded the way it did is definitely an area of growth for the hobby. Kind of a weird process. You don't get to know who graded your cards or why they graded them the way they did. But they basically call the shots in the hobby.

I pulled that Correa SP few weeks ago and kept it for PC and now I want to grade it after seeing this Video!!

I've seen quite a few Julios get pulled and most are OC. Should keep the pop low and value high for PSA 10s

Look up the cards you want to send in both PSA 9 and 10 and then calculate grading, shipping and ebay fees and see if it makes sense.
