It's kind of funny because this seems to technically break the current UK loot box laws. They're considered legal only as long as the probabilities are properly disclosed to the player. Before using the first key, you're given incorrect information, even if it's a bug or an oversight.
They need a complete overhaul of permanent rewards, sick and tired of getting combat dummies

@@InitYeah Honestly HAM pickpocketing is pretty good gp assuming you do all the easy clues you get. I'm not sure why you would do it if not for the easy clues, but without the clues it's less than 1m gp/hr
They haven't removed proteins from the oddments shop. The shop cycles through items each day / every few days, instead of all the items being in the shop all the time.

Jagex ownership has been overpricing itself for a very long time. The game has changed hands for hundreds of millions. They need to make that money back. It's that simple

I've been saying it for years. We, as RuneScape players, whether RS3 or OSRS, are paying beta testers. And we let them do it to us

You can still get regular proteans from the weekly reward track from your dailies. Also, the oddment store rotates now, so they are sometimes in there.
If Jagex keeps going like this, they'll end up like Ubisoft - a failure on the verge of collapse.
It's a money grab. They don't care about players or fun content or doing what's right. They care about money.
I just use the daily keys I'd lose otherwise and only use the rest on Rainbow Trail and Double Dragon chests. I'm sure most people do similar. And I've never bought a key, that's crazy to me, they aren't good enough to waste actual money on.

I wish that they would just remove the hundreds of thousands of oddments the 0.1% of players have stockpiled up from when it was highly exploitable. Nerfing the abiltiy of normal non-exploiting players to be able to build up that kind of thing is absolutely abhorrent and anti-consumer...
Why punish the rest of us because of a few people making BANK from your own incompetent lack of testing/foresight???
It's a classic corner case. Depending on their workflow, that first key might only ever get seen once.

I think they limit proteans to only be available during the promotions around dxp time, to make them more valuable. Basically making it so any player who wants to use proteans during dxp needs to spend money on keys to do so.

Back when I played years ago, they tried to use double exp as a way to drum up players, they have systematically given you faster and faster ways to train skills till it trivialises it. Now with the proteans and crap from TH. Now they realise what they have done - given people a massive item that is afkable on double exp weekends and caused the meta to just keep and wait to maximise exp, that players once maxed or near maxed tend to stop playing as the only thing in their future is just more of the same random drop slot machine grinds. So now they create unstable versions that only give single exp....you just created the haves and have nots jagex....that has skewed your player base. Anyone coming in new is now at a huge disadvantage. Way to turn people away to nickel and dime your dwindling playerbase!
This happened to me as well, got the single white training dummy. After the first key, I got orange/red. I was so confused at first; thank you for making this video lol! I thought it was just me and my luck.

When I returned, this was all that was being advertised and legitimately shoved down my throat coming from different games that have destroyed themselves due to mxt. I just logged and decided against playing this garbage again.

Proteans aren't "gone" from oddments store, it changes quite often, not sure about the interval
Just make an ironman on RS3 and enjoy a game nearly free from MTX where everything you do matters and you are forced to dive into obscure content

@@Marcus-ec1kx How ? would love to hear your reasoning because from my POV, Membership used to cost the same for a very long time with decent content releases (Except EOC). Today you can buy GP straight from Jagex, you can buy EXP straight from Jagex, and the new content is giving all skills 11 more levels starting with the slowest skills to train, so people who don't want to train or have the time to play but got $$$ guess what.... buy EXP straight from Jagex. These are just some examples, now you don't have to agree with me, that's okay, but lets talk about it.
On the first week my first 3x chest was a single. I figured it was a QC fail....

regular proteans are still on TH but only during Time to train promo on DXP so people need to spend money then and there to get them if they want them.
I've still gotten regular proteans from some events but they're not always available. I kinda like unstables b/c I feel obligated to spend regular proteans during dxp and unstables I can use anytime I wanna afk for a few.

if they removed regular proteans less ppl would spend mopney on actual dxp, having both in there makes regualr less likely therefore insentivicing more money spendage to get the same amount of regular proteans as you used to
Lol youre not really up to date, every wednesday is wild card wednesday. They have a random side effect, first time was 3x oddements including cashout, i believe the 2nd week (last week) they had stars only and this week its orage rarity +.
Also they didnt remove proteans froms the shop, the shop is switching everyday with different items besides th key, lamp and star
They know players will just keep playing even if jagex is messing up everything. Its sad really. Raise memberships but keep mtx in. Ive moved on, but i feel sorry for people still playing and just accepting this without even coming together and trying to make a difference. Just accept it really. Make videos and have discussions is fine, but we need action. And thats something that will never happen with rs3
I don't like spins and free xp it is a spit in the face of all of us that have put time in the game and got so many 99's without free xp. And was once in the top 10k in all skills in runescape and now barley top 47k in high scores.
Kind of a scam in itself gamble your money away for no real return…

lol annoying but hardly worth getting upset about. How would it be a scam or false advertising without malicious intent? I still believe if all TH stuff would go to Solomon's store or bought directly, people wouldn't buy like they do for TH. Aren't unstable proteans better than the blue ones, except just on DXP(4x a year) and knowledge bombs. The only time I spent on the game was on membership before bonds existed and the black Primal equipment.
Yeah I got cheated my first one was a gray wasn’t even a orange I want my free key ! Also red proteans are trash if they keep up stud like this then a lot less players gonna be on during dxp even because they don’t got the stuff to do it like good proteans over the unstable

Tbh at this point i still dont get how th is allowed still in belgium
i get ur a content creator and u need to make things sensational and entertaining to retain viewers etc but u also need to do research ebfore amkign vids tbh. this isnt a "new" promo this came out weeks ago. called wonder wednesdays, for one day only, not each day, it will have a modifier. first was increased oddiments. last week was 3xprize. its really not that confusing if u read/research a little bit. the not working properly is eh, bugs happen unless there is something specific to the modifier where where it only works on bought keys or perhaps keys obtained on promo day etc. u do this often where u make a video without knowing all the info. practive a bit of wat u preach?
