I live near here, I use to explore that building when it was run down. It's insane what they've done to bring this building back to life. Even the surrounding area looks much nicer. They're removed all the graffiti on near by buildings.
They did an amazing job of bringing this building back. In fact, that entire area, as well as up and down Michigan Avenue have seen significant improvements over the last few years.
I got to take a tour of the inside during construction. I can't wait for it to open to the public, even in the state it was it when I visited it was absolutely gorgeous and they took a lot of care to be faithful to the original building.
It is lit up at night. The building is in the final stages of renovation, you can walk around the park outside, but not allowed in. There’s roving security 24/7
En fait chez vous c'est comme nous en France ont attend que les bâtiments soient quasiment détruit pour les réparer nous beaucoup de châteaux avait plus que les murs et maintenant l'état aider a les refaire au collectivités pour faire des hôtels mais y aurait du faire avant car maintenant c'est énorme pour les refaires😢😢😢😢😢
This is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic , and tremendous waste money for FMC. I worked for FMC in the 70's , grew up around here , saw the slide beginning and left Michigan in 1977. Now to see this restoration happening just pains me . I own lots of Ford stock BTW. Sad but true.....
