Pretty cool footage
Incredible. I just found my great uncle Daniel F Johnstone in a lot of these. I grew up seeing his navy dress picture. It was the only picture id ever seen of him. I found 3 at least in here!!! Thank you so much. Finding anything about him has proven incredibly difficult over the last decade.
@@JJJ013 can you send me time code when your uncle showed up in the video? If you send me your email I will send you the pics
@@apmadoc I'm driving home now but wanted to reply. I'll send time stamps when I get home. So so cool!!!!
@@JJJ013 maybe send a screenshot as well
He appears at 46 second mark.
Possibly again at 2:03

The awful music is almost deafening. Love the video, though.
Nice...music works well too.
Looks like a movie, great work 💯🔥
Thanks!
Great job Tudor!!!
Thanks Mark!
This is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic , and tremendous waste money for FMC. I worked for FMC in the 70's , grew up around here , saw the slide beginning and left Michigan in 1977. Now to see this restoration happening just pains me . I own lots of Ford stock BTW. Sad but true.....
They did an amazing job of bringing this building back. In fact, that entire area, as well as up and down Michigan Avenue have seen significant improvements over the last few years.
Super video.
I love the D ❤
What will it be used for? Is it offices now or a hotel?
Ford Motor Company will be using it as office space - corporate.ford.com/operations/locations/michigan-central.html
Kudos to FMC for bringing back to life a grand Lady. What a legacy this company is establishing for our future!! Well done,Ford.
I got to take a tour of the inside during construction. I can't wait for it to open to the public, even in the state it was it when I visited it was absolutely gorgeous and they took a lot of care to be faithful to the original building.
Looks fun😊
Nicely done. Never thought to put mine to music like this.
is that lit up at night? Safe for tourists?
It is lit up at night. The building is in the final stages of renovation, you can walk around the park outside, but not allowed in. There’s roving security 24/7
Ford has done a magnificent job with that building and the nearby area. 👍
This is a great sign for Detroit.
Rebirthing ALL of D E T R O I T
Great shots of the Gordie Howe Bridge towers and The Ambassador bridge.
You gotta be kidding….this is bad. Outside pictures all at night. Where’s the inside. Oh that’s right you aren’t allowed in. Fake!
great video. nice work
I live near here, I use to explore that building when it was run down. It's insane what they've done to bring this building back to life. Even the surrounding area looks much nicer. They're removed all the graffiti on near by buildings.
Does the trains still work?
What'up-you made splendid view~ 📽
Thank you very much
I am loving this video. Always wonderful to see my favorite locomotive doing what she does best. What is the song you used here? I really like it.
It took decades to build each of these beauties..
Gregorian chant please, is appropriate and I would share, sub and like. I turn down volume to off with your selection of music. Is not inspiring
Excellent footage. You have sturgeon point I believe labeled as 40 mile. 40 mile is a red brick house with a square white tower and black cap
Great video and beautiful landscapes. thanks for sharing. Liked & Subbed 👍👍👍
Totally inappropriate music . I could do a better job .
Then do it.
Wow, the memories
Beautiful majesty
The bad thing about the money raised by the Mass Mob, is that it was "free" money to the Detroit Archdiocese that still closed many Catholic churches the Mob was supposed to save from closing / from extinction. The Detroit Catholic Archdiocese only cares about a steady monthly income from the parishes to maintain the lifestyle of the Catholic hierarchy that they are accustomed to living. "High on the hog - TAX FREE. If ANY Catholic church doesn't meet it's agreed to cash donation to the Archdiocese, that parish goes on the Papal "hit / merged /closed list. Cardinal Dearden hammered the first nail on the Detroit Catholic churches coffin decade's ago. Here's how the Archdiocese works against the Catholic parishes throughout the country. In Detroit for example, each parish is to "give" the Archdiocese a certain amount of monthly money to the religious big shots in the administration office downtown. Then the Detroit Archdiocese nearly evenly splits that amount, and sends that money to Rome - The Vatican, The head Godfather, the Catholic enforcer - The Pope. A classic example of a crime syndicate form of a shake down. Paying monthly for "protection". Protection from being shut down, closed, and any remaining assets stripped clean, and stored in Catholic warehouses. It's all true. The Mafia does this undercover work in the dark, while the church does the same thing in the daylight, in the open under the guise of religious freedom. Why do you think the Vatican is a Sovereign nation? NOBODY, no other country can investigate any normal laws against humanity the Vatican is secretly involved in? Nobody can even invade the Vatican. Not even Hitler during WW2. In fact, the Catholic Vatican helped Hitler hide and store money, gold, and many other valuables stolen and taken away from the Jewish community when Hitler was exterminating them. Look it up and fact check it on the History channel or on PBS. The Vatican has their own police/security force, even though the Vatican is located squarely inside the city of Rome. The Rome police has no jurisdiction to even arrest an Italian criminal they chased across the Vatican border line. The Catholic church is very powerful in that sense. Watch the movie, The Godfather. You'll see how crooked and powerful the Vatican really is. Why do you think for decade's, the Catholic church kept shuffling the pedophile priests from one out state congregation to another - instead of having them arrested for sexual assault, and sexual perversion against parish children? Hell. even priests had sex with each other, and had sex with Nuns and got them pregnant. The Nuns children given up for adoption in Catholic adoption centers. The Catholic Archdiocese is a collective group of guy's dressed as "Shepherds". A criminal organization of guy's wearing the white collar, and flowing robes of Christ. The priest's are to give their lives to preaching the Gospel of Jesus. To live their life of poverty in order to feed their congregation the bread of life - the Word of God. Instead, you see priests driving around town in late model Lincolns, Cadillacs. BMW'S, top of the line and expensive SUV'S. While the Catholic Nuns eat bread made with their own hands - not store bought from a bakery like the priests eat. Nuns spoon water and tomato sauce soup in their mouths, while church priests eat thick steaks, and sip on soup that's too thick to run off their spoons. They "eat" soup instead of sucking and drinking soup like normal people, like the rest of us. The Catholic Archdiocese should be concerned about saving lost and hungry soles, not fending and feeding themselves of church money.
Such gorgeous churches in such a run down city. Its a wonder the local thugs havent plundered, pillaged and burned them down yet. Give them time, they will destroy them all like they do in all the big cities. I hope all these churches are registered Federal historic landmarks to keep the landgrabbers and opportunists and bottom feeders from tearing them down to put up a mall , like the did years ago in Chicago.

How about a link to complete write up of the DDS-MKI. The DDS acronym pulls up every dentist from Maine to San Diego. Just saying.
The full name is Mark 1 Deep Dive System. I haven’t found a full history on it. I do remember that it was built my Federal Mogul Corp.
I did find this : th-cam.com/video/nx16PUwXRmY/w-d-xo.html
@@apmadoc : NavyDiver.org/history has a little bit of information: 1970 The DDS MK-1 Deep Diving System comes into service. In October a world record open-sea dive was made to 850 feet. 1975 Divers using the MK 1 Deep Dive System descended to 1,148 fsw. 1977 The MK 1 Deep Diving System goes out of service
The photos were taken the summer we set that record.

I was here as a 6 year old in 94 when my mom was the camp nurse. Then again in 99 with a school friend to camp for a week. This slideshow (especially the beginning where it shows the cabins) brings back such great memories. I could never wait until evening when we got to buy snacks from the canteen.
