So many things worth preserving and restoring in the city of Detroit. Especially downtown. I’m so glad this was one of them. Kind of funny, I’m a big advocate of the environment and electric vehicles and years and years ago, I mentioned to many people that a smart system would be roads that can charge vehicles with inductive charging. No one ever listened to me though. Glad someone took that idea and is exploring it. To outfit all roads that way would probably cost more than building all of the interstate system again. But in time maybe, it could be a thing. I also like the idea of street markings embedded in the that can illuminate, but also change what the marking says instantly. Again, could take decades or even centuries, but hopefully one day.
@0:30 you can also see the Gordie Howe Bridge, under construction. I remember seeing videos of a guy who was living in and protecting Michigan Central Station. Let's Go Detroit! Let's Go Tigers!
Awesome nearly $1B restoration! Now it just needs to be used as a multi-modal transit hub again... I.e. extend the streetcar, add commuter rail and Amtrak services!

Our company did all of the new Millwork in the New Ford Book Depository. I was the lead on the install.
