I just started my Diptyque journey through samples and this is one of the first ones I've tried along with Philosykos and Kyoto (limited edition). Out of the three, L'ombre was the "most me" -- it has everything that I love: fruity, green (herbaceous) and rose and is everything I am - pretty with bite of mystery, sass and attitude! lol! I definitely agree with your description that it is MYSTICAL. It's a smell that transports me to a fairy tale-like world pretty much like the bottle illustration that reminds me so much of The Ugly Duckling! Performance-wise it works so well in a country as hot as the Philippines and like other Diptyque fragrances, it isn't that overpowering which I love! I am a fan of any fragrance that's fresh, botanical, and ethereal. This has gotta be one of my faves in this lifetime!

I never knew diptyque had colour around the outside of their bottles. Great imagery for the packaging and the scent profile with the rose and blackcurrant. I love finding out who wore which scent... Lauren Bacall certainly stood out. Totally matches with the off beat vibe of diptyque fragrances too, I mean, who calls a fragrance "he who likes figs" but them???!
Yes this scent is everything that Lauren Bacall is. It's playful yet sassy. Classy yet from the hood, and sweet yet punchy!

It's a fragrance you would probably like. The greenness of the vlackcurrant leaves balance it out....but the rose 🌹is like a minty aromatic geranium feel to it. It's lovely 😍

I used to watch Lauren Bacall films with my Nan when she was alive, I thought she was so beautiful and elegant, her and Ingrid Bergman were my favs, love your story telling 💘😎👌🌹

I also had a sample and tried it out and it literally took me to another dimension! The scent lingers in the air and leaves a hypnotic trail behind you. I had to get a larger version of the EDT. I wore it again and a lady stopped me in a department store to inquire about what I was wearing and said that is all she could smell. It smelled so good! I love it.. I can see Lauren Bacall wearing this. Too bad Bogart wasn't still around at the time to appreciate it also. Great video!

My absolute favourite perfume, I always loved their Baies candles and discovered that this perfume had a similar fragrance profile. I got my first bottle shipped from France last year and haven’t used anything else since. It goes through so many interesting scent changes throughout the day, I just love it! You describe it so eloquently and was very interested to find out that it’s Lauren Bacall signature scent. Look forward to your next video!

Gabi today I ordered a sample of this beauty from a site, manly because all perfumes I got through your reviews were 10 ou of 10! You might know me a little by now, I'm a very sweet person but with a sharp tongue, and a strong personality 😂 Lauren Bacall was something, like most of the old Hollywood stars back in the days. I think I'm going to love it! Bought also from a dupe company of the discontinued Violet Blonde of Tom Ford. Let's see 😊 I'll let you know. Big love

I wear L'ombre dans l'eau as well as Olène, Ofrésia or Eau de Rose. I'm floral lady I think. I'd rather put a lot of money on a great fragrance than to all those " commercial " messes that are pricy too
