Biggest book I have read is the Count of Monte Cristo. I have read Shogun three times. Love James Clavell. Best wishes and happy reading. I guess you may be a while.
What a lovely stack of chonkers! I do love a big book, but I don't read as many these days as I used to. Back when I really didn't read that many books each year I'd go for big old tomes all the time, but now I want to read lots of different things I tend to limit my big book consumption so I can fit more books in each month. Though I did manage a couple of thousand-page beasts this year, and I really enjoyed diving into those long and detailed stories. Have fun with your beefcakes! 😂
Ah, the Ulysses six, imprisoned unjustly, forced to read experimental fiction... Maybe I should start a campaign to get them released in time for Christmas? Back in time for Clement C Moore
Well, that was a lot of fun! That's a lot of pages. Thanks for tagging me, Debs. I'll get to work on this. I do not believe I have as many big books planned for the coming year. I guess we'll see....
That third edition Norton is wonderful, but it’s a book I prefer to dip into occasionally. Reading it straight through is an undertaking. This sounds like a great batch of mammoths. I have confidence you can do it - I’ve heard good things about Vikram Seth’s opus.
I love big books! I have some big books planned for next year and I have no business adding more, but I had the nerve to pick up an almost 900 page book at the library yesterday (Kin by Miljenko Jergović). I love that you weighed the books.
The 1200+ pager I never see mentioned in 'A Glastonbury Romance' by John Cowper Powys. I read it because the late Phil Rickman always said it was a major influence on his work. I read it, and enjoyed it, but it dragged. Where other authors would say one thing was like another thing, Powys always listed around half a dozen things it was like. It dragged a bit.
This is actually perfect for me because next year I'm not setting a normal reading goal, I am aiming to read chunky books all year. I did read Shogun this year and it was mostly fun.
Hi Debs been following your excellent channel for a few weeks now. I like your cosy and relaxing style of book chats and the various genres .I am hoping to read Shogun by James Clavell some time.
If you'd like someone to tag along for "Good Soldier, Svejk," let me know. I've always wanted to read it. Also wanted to let you know that I saw your tag a couple of days ago. I'll try my best to film it before the end of the year.

Count of Monte Cristo is a Masterpiece. Amazing classic.

Haha. Free the Ulysses Six 😂😂
@@clarepotter7584 This did make me laugh 😃 The name does have that connotation...
I don’t realize we where imprisoned. 😂
Nice pile of books Debs! I have some lofty goals for next year as well so I may give this tag a go. Thanks for sharing your books.
Yes give it a go. It was great fun. Thanks Bill 😊

I was surprised by mine. It makes a change for me to tag you 😂. I’ll look forward to seeing your version 😊

There are some significant doorstops there Debs 🙈 I also have Shogun on my TBR and it is all Olly’s fault 😉
Olly has to take responsibility for lots of things 😂. I’ll see if I can get through them all 😊

Ooh I would love to know your plans Arianne 😊
I like big books too.
@@anotherbibliophilereads I would have tagged you Greg but you were already tagged by Al 😊
This is my idea of a bookish nightmare 😂 I don't like big books. I may be missing out but I avoid anything over 600 pages. Very fun tag.
Haha. I often have one big book on the go but I know it’s not everyone’s bag. I did enjoy this tag 😊

Where do you buy all them in pulp

Yay. That would be great ❤. We haven’t read together for ages. No rush on that tag, I’m just curious how you organise your book shelves 😊
