I can see why it's often said that Jack-O is tough to lab against- there are so many instances of "it depends" and there's a degree of RPS in her basic offense
6:05 You can cancel the Minion kick while holding a minion with the Minion Drop. hold minion, kick a minion, cancel recovery with dropping a minion into whatever you desire, preferbly 2D
I feel lame for asking, but how do you guys use these type of guides? I understand what he's saying but how do you guys go about digesting all this information and applying it into your gameplay? I feel overwhelmed most of the time and get stuck not learning the character at all.
When I make these guides I think of it more as a library of setups rather than something to be digested in one watch. You definitely don't need everything in this video to learn the character and do well. Just look around for things you want to add to your gameplay and slowly add them into your matches after practice. After enough time you'll have learned enough by taking it slow learning things one at a time so that it'll all add up. And I have the table of contents in the description to help make it easy to search for what you want to learn and find it quickly. Hopefully this helps, but if you have other questions let me know!
A good thing to do is look at one element and say "hey, that's interesting" or "I've never thought about that or tried that before" and then lab it out in training mode. Then next time you play, try to implement the one thing into your gameplay.
Work piece by piece. Pick a few small things to incorporate into your gameplay and focus on doing those. Once you have them added move to the next. Jack O had enough going on that you can do this for hundreds to thousands of hours
It still works, it's most likely that you're trying to jump too early. The timing is a bit tricky. If you test it again for a bit with some later timings but it still doesn't work, then I can make a little video showing it off better so let me know if you get it working!
You'll have to download it from github and install it manually, but here's a guide for it th-cam.com/video/YSG3tiIS8ZE/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Tiger_Pop
I love Jack o, but my brain is getting toasted, worth it

@@aDTimeGaming I appreciate the reply and the fact you even make these guides. Thank you.

am I doing something wrong

I manage to do it, it was the way I was TKing I canceled the C.S into 21478k instead of just jump canceling the C.S then just do 214k😅
