    I needed to hear this today. I care for my 9yr old autistic son and every mealtime is a battle. I end up pandering to his every need and my husband has always said I'm too soft on them because my needs were never fully met as a child so I don't want them to feel the same. But I end up putting myself out so much that I am completely burnout. This really helped listening to this today so thank you!

      Kerry, you are so not alone in this. There are so many carers of loved ones with special needs who end up in this exact same position. There are many here on my channel. I hope you feel more empowered now- you can definitely work with the processes you identify going on inside you regardless of what's going on on the outside.

    Something that has helped me recently is.. I got off of all social media, stopped watching/reading the weather and news. My symptoms have gotten better. I guess I didn't realize those things were stressing me.

    YOU ARE simply amazing in putting this together and help us understand it. I am big fan of yours and a big thank you in helping people like me to recover from unpleasant feeling of 24/7 dizziness. I am aware of the outside and inside stresses but trying hard to implement what you just said

    I agree with you 100%. I think that we need to look into ourself, "we said: you nees to drink a boutle of wine with yourself and be hunest with yourself., even if it hurts" and after the healing can start... i had such a stressful 2 years behind me... but loooking back, a lot of inner stress and traumas stays with me... and if you are a person who allways feel like you need to save and help everyone- even the stress from other people is on your shoulders... and for me it was just TO much.
    Now i am trying to do step by step, beliving in me and my body, that i can have i all all--- even better like it was before, when i was not dizzy every day. Somehow i am thankful for dizzynest to open my eyes and see the clear picture of how much i was allways giving and trying to "save the word"... but now i now i have to safe myself first.

    Hello, I have dizziness for four years now and just before two months I was diagnosed with PPPD. It was a huge relief. So now I'm doing the vestibular exercises and reducing the anxiety and stress. I learn a lot from the free course, thank you for the effort you put in it.
    I want to ask something that I didn't found information for. Some days my struggles are more from head pressure, lightheadedness, heaviness, fatigue. And nothing works for them. Can you talk more for these common symptoms and how to deal with them. They're more uncomfortable and persistent, sometimes than the dizziness.
    I'm sorry for my English, it's not my first language.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Katrin, the way to deal with them is exactly the same way you deal with the dizziness- but not through breathing and VRT. With all those other symptoms, it's (a) understanding they are also the result of a nervous system error and (b) finding and addressing the stress and emotional distress that are still causing the brain to be in danger mode. If you haven't taken the updated course yet- it went live Jan 5. Steps 5 and 6 are very important for reducing these other symptoms.

      @@TheSteadyCoach Thank you for your answer. I will look the changes in the free course. I want to ask something else. In my vestibular therapy, the center which I'm visiting, is included exercise with VR glasses and moving platform at the same time. I can hardly stand it. It makes me very dizzy and unstable. Do you think that this exercise is needed in the therapy? I started without the glasses, only the platform, which was also hard, but now with them is awful.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rebecca, I am sorry you are not well. It is normal to have symptoms temporarily increase during any kind of illness. We had Covid go through my membership community several times in the last year and people’s symptoms went back down to baseline afterward, which makes me wonder if the reason yours haven’t is because danger mode is still very active for you. Danger mode can result from fear of the virus or symptoms or it can be the result of life stress/emotions.

    What if you have been going to therapy for years for general anxiety and I have consistently journaled, expressed, meditated, got off social media etc but have recently developed VM. Would you look more into other changes/treatment since you’re already addressing those issues but developed this anyway?

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      What a great question, Kamilah! I feel that general therapy sometimes doesn't quite reach the parts of us that need help. It can build wonderful tools and awareness, but sometimes the small, wounded parts of us and the emotional components of our difficulties have not been fully expressed. I, too, have been through a lot of therapy in my life, and I joke that only the adult got therapy- none of my "inner children" did because THEY didn't show up to therapy. While many people have success with journaling, it's not enough for everyone. If you've never tried an experiential therapeutic modality like IFS or AEDP, I would love to see you try those. There are also very specific types of therapy such as emotional awareness and expression therapy that are specifically designed for people with physical symptoms. My colleagues at mindbodytherapycenter.org and bettermindcenter.com are awesome and specialize in mindbody disorders like migraines. I refer people to them all the time.

    • @jesjorgensen
      @jesjorgensen ปีที่แล้ว

      When I got chronic dizziness I only stopped working for about a 2 weekes. But not only because of the dizziness itself but also the panic and anxiety that followed.
      I soon learned that thinking and focusing on the dizziness only made it worse, so I tried to focus on life (including work) instead. It is hard, but can be done - Especially when you learn what is really going on. (TheSteadyCoach channel has helped me a lot).

      @@lexi1536 Breaks are so important. I take one every 2 hours and remind myself that I am safe and the dizziness is only my brain trying to protect me from a non-excisting danger.
