Christchurch is the championing the South Island of New Zealand, the Biggest airport in the south island and the 2nd biggest in New Zealand after Auckland airport, it is one of the only airports the regularly have heavies flying in and out on a daily basis. Thats the most International the airport has ever looked! (I know most of it were Auckland planes that got diverted due to the floods) I just hope one day the airport can normally look that busy or at least as half as busy as that was. But if I was gonna be that busy they would need to expand. I hope they start that soon. Anyway Great video as always!
It was somewhat like that before covid with emirates, China airlines, China southern, Singapore, air nz, qantas, fiji, cathay pacific, Korean air and more!

Awesome footage! What is the squeaking sound in the video? I notice it a lot on aviation videos. Some sort of interference?
Thanks heaps! Yes, I'm not too sure I've heard that it could be interference with the external mic, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I'm hoping with the more videos it comes up in someone will notice and tell me how to fix it.
@@HDChristchurchaviation It's all goods though, it's not too distracting at all. The sounds of the planes drowns it out eventually :D CHC is probably my favourite airport in the country, ZQN too. Really like seeing the action CHC is getting these days. You're doing a brilliant job capturing these birds!

Are talking about that buzz every two seconds? If you are it is made by the surveillance radar which emits the pulse every time it rotates.
Well as a pensioner who lives in hornby, and doesn't have the resoures to move. the increase in large planes flying over my house is distubing. They rattle my house, drown out the computer, and I shouldnt be able see the detail i can. They need to get higher quicker or the turbulence will land them on my roof!!
