Oh my goodness Did anyone notice the license plate spells "dethbed"!!! I'm so glad that didn't come true! Prayers to the driver & his family. It always hurts to see a fellow jeeper go thru this.
You have the best recovery show. You're the most honest and truthful recovery. Show out there on TH-cam, 100% the best. Keep the good work up. Thank you for being honest and truthful.😊 0:470:510:52 🎉❤
Yep, Matt, it's obvious the care you use to prevent additional damage. That's practicing the golden rule at a higher level, being careful not to add to a person's misfortune. Good job.
Great recovery, I’m gonna have to look into getting a Garman or a better way for an emergency I always thought of using my cell phone but clearly that can be a mistake if you don’t have service. I have learned a lot from your videos thank you Matt McKenzie
I ride my quad alone 99% of the time, and I always have my Personal Locater Beacon inside my hydration pack. That way, if the quad goes over a cliff, and I somehow manage not to go with it, I have a way of getting help. I DO have to be able to activate it, so there is always that! There was a story on my PLB website about an older couple up by Flagstaff Az. They were 30 miles from the highway, and got theirselves stuck. The Husband started to walk out, but it became very apparent that he would not be able to do that, so they activated their PLB. About 2 hours later the rescue people showed up, and the older people started apologizing right away because they were not injured, and they thought that the only way to "legally" activate would be because of an injury. The rescuers quickly replied that they would much rather come out and help them out of a bad situation, than come out on a body recovery!!! This is soooooo true. Last spring I was riding my dirt bike alone and while climbing a nasty hill, the bike went over backwards and was laying on my left leg. There was no way that I could lift the bike off of my leg. I really did not want to drag out Search and Rescue just to lift the bike off of my leg. That day, instead of my lace up White boots, I wore my Carr-Heart slip-on mini boots. I was able to slip my foot out of my boot and get out from under the bike. Like I said, I really did not want to call out S&R to lift the bike off of my leg, BUT I WOULD HAVE. I do not think that my rescuers would have said anything, because I would have been trapped until I got out from under that bike. That particular day, I did not take my pistol with me, and there are Cougars and Bears in that area.
We have a gps with inreach in the Jeep We are currently looking at the inreach mini 2 Has a 2 week battery life And Bluetooth’s to your phone with a monthly plan for texting and calling via satellite 🛰️
Newer phones go to satellite sos when no service in case of such an event. Plus they have crash detection if g forces are applied in a crash to the phone . Pretty cool and a life saver! They mentioned android , I have it on my I phone (think 15 and up)
Poor guy!!!!! out there enjoying what he loves to do and then a tragedy like this happens, I really hope this guy recovers 100% and can get back out and enjoy life, good job on this recovery👍
Were you using 1 or 2 or 3 winches doing that? I thought 2 but was not sure what you did from tree to that front wheel or if that was second and you had two lines coming off main boom winch.
I at first I thought, new driver fender and he will be back in business, then I saw the air bag deployed. Good job getting this one out. Watching applied physics.
I think that I would change my license plate to something less severe. It is very surprising how little damage the Gladiator sustained. Definitely want to buy that one back from the insurance company. Another amazing recovery.
Too bad that the things in our lives can be insured, but we can't. If I was in the recovery business I would carry a portable grinder and chain saw to remove any obstacles.
Yes seat belt was on I’m guessing a combo of sliding off the side Impacting the bottom from forward motion of driving And then a flop afterwards He also says his age has an impact on the injuries

Loved your update on the driver... almost as much as I liked the recovery! :)
Prayers the driver makes a full recovery. Love the setup on the dodge truck you have. Very smooth recovery as always 👌
Thanks and we hope he gets well soon as well
Matt that Dodge wrecker is so nice 👍🏻💪🏻🇺🇸
Definitely coming in handy
My friend you are a true professional, you performed flawlessly!
Thank you,
We do try and be efficient and damage free
Another outstanding recovery Matt! I look forward to every new video.
Nice recovery. Hope that guys back gets better soon.
Another amazingly, smooth recovery, well done!
glad he lived; hope he recovers soon; nice recovery vid; glad to see a fellow Mojave returned to its wheels.
Us too!

@ yes
Great winch out, enjoyed watching, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
any other tow services would have just ripped it out upside-down causing 10x more damage....
it hardly even looks damaged
Agreed
Maybe DETHBED was a poor choice for a tag number
Matt is the man.......nice recovery
Thanks
What a great job, always enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work man!
Thanks
Once again you put on a clinic of how to do a recovery without doing any additional damage.
The Gladiator lost the fight. But it lives to fight another day.👍
We think it’s fixable
prayers for a quick full recovery for the driver
Great recovery. Really liking the tow truck.
It’s working out very well
Poor guy!!!!! out there enjoying what he loves to do and then a tragedy like this happens, I really hope this guy recovers 100% and can get back out and enjoy life, good job on this recovery👍
Just takes one second to change everything
thank God for watching over this guy,i dont know where you are filming but i like the foliage
Arkansas
Good job getting this one out.
Thanks
Very nicely done! Thought for sure it was going to be totaled, once you got it out.
I think it came out better then expected for sure

2
The tree to front wheel
Was so it had somewhat of a side pull to help secure it from trying to roll back over while coming up
Nice new truck matt!
Thanks!
@matt.mckinzie an older cummins 5.9 ram truck is on my radar, my friend swears by it, says it pulls like a beast compared to his other diesel trucks.
@@glowvid it’s been a great addition
Not the fastest but it does pull well
We bought it for Jobs exactly like this
That 2nd gen dodge wrecker us beyond cool
Thanks, it’s definitely being useful
Another awesome recovery, well done!
Thank you very much!
If it was a newer Jeep Gladiator Then (SOS is a Uconnect feature) which automatically goes off in a crash.
Very possible
He told us it was sent from his phone
But it very well could have been the Jeep itself
Great recovery Matt!
Thanks
Hope he stays in stable condition ❤🩹
Another fine recovery and vid Matt!
Awesome job Matt 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
Outstanding!
normal jeep stuff,
the jeep just wanted its belly patted.
Nice job bro!
Thank you! Cheers!
@ 🫡🤜🤛
Nice job!
Great work!
Thanks!
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
Well done 👍🇺🇸
Thanks
Jeep doesn't appear to be damaged that bad, looks repairable. Which is surprising to me
I at first I thought, new driver fender and he will be back in business, then I saw the air bag deployed. Good job getting this one out. Watching applied physics.
Fender
Air bags
The removal able tops
Windshield
Door glass (both sides)
Front axle four link bars also bent
I think they will fix it
Bet he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. I cant believe how many off roders don't. They haven't seen what Ive seen. Its just plain ignorant.
He confirmed he was wearing one

“Gods has better plans”

glad the driver is ok. might wanna change his vanity plate though. not funny anymore
That’s what we said
Nice work sir . Jesus Christ loves you
I have a 21 rubi in sting grey. Mines still right side up.
He was definitely speeding around the corner and went off the road. You can see the tracks
Broke Back? Hopefully not on a mountain.
Now we know what the Jeep wave really means.
Not exactly a mountain
But still 9 miles back in the woods
😂 I see what you did there
Great job sir
Thanks,
Hope yall doing well down there.
Hopefully you saw the news last week and got some good laughs 😉
Oh yes been wanting to call you about it lol
@ we got about 20 already. About it 😂
No. He does not have a personalized license plate that says "DETHBED". . .
You should have cones across the road around that curve so somebody don't come flying around and hit you or goes out through the woods
On a forest road?
This isn’t a highway
Too much throttle, too much booze or possibly a combination of both?
No booze involved
Just an oops
if it happened at night you cant see in the middle of the woods behind you that well to be honest
No alcohol just accidents man
@@sixpest it was after dark on the way out from hunting
@@sixpest driving faster than you can see and react = too much throttle.
Good job.
Thanks!
Nice recovery
Thanks!
@matt.mckinzie you're welcome
Too bad that the things in our lives can be insured, but we can't. If I was in the recovery business I would carry a portable grinder and chain saw to remove any obstacles.
no damage, that'll buff right on out.
Making full use of the Holmes trees
Always
If you had more than 1 snatch block it would be easier to move
We have lot of pulleys
And the truck didn’t struggle at all moving it
Sick
Seat belt? I have had worse roll overs not that that means anything
Yes seat belt was on
I’m guessing a combo of sliding off the side
Impacting the bottom from forward motion of driving
And then a flop afterwards
He also says his age has an impact on the injuries
911 uses sattelites@@matt.mckinzie
Im pretty sure i could drive a Lo rider down that road at 30 mph.
Some of it yes some of it no any stock pick up or suv tho 100%
@matt.mckinzie OK I'll lift the LO rider and throw in a rear locker.
Lol
@ 😂
DETHBED, AYUP!
can I have it?
First time doing a video? standing next to a diesel while getting the story.
My mic 🎙️ wasn’t working
Didn’t know till afterwards
