    hello nice tutorial. I have a problem with my cluster gauge - the same pajero unit as yours. The handbrake light does not turn on even when the hand brake is engage. The question is, is it possible to replace the handbrake bulb/led inside the cluster gauge?

    I have a faulty rev counter on mine but all other parts are fine If I replaced the cluster with a second hand one and put my existing speed/mileage module on it would it display the correct mileage from my existing cluster?

      I do not have the answer. The best people to answer you are those who modify these counters for the used car dealers. If I was the manufacturer, I would not allow the change unless programming the ECU and have them as pair

      Hi unfortunately it's still not working but I did try another cluster and it still didn't work. I can only presume it's faulty sensor now but have not got around to looking at it.

      Ok, i have the same problem cant find what the problem is. But i can read the rpm with the diagnostic system. So dont think it's a sensor

      @@sodig876I know it's an old post, but both of my pajeros only lost their rev counter when I took the instrument panel out to replace bulbs.

    If i take the speedo chip and fit it on a second instrument panel will it remember the mileage? .

      Sorry, I have no exoerience with this. Try to ask the used car dealers ;-)

    How can I do if the temperature and fuel in the instrument don''t work?

    • @CuriousSoulCanada
      @CuriousSoulCanada  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I an not a mechanic, I would have to look at the service manual and use an ohmmeter in order to find the fault. The fuel circuit is simple, I would disassemble the instrument cluster and clean the gauge contacts, re-solder the area, there is a resistor in series, if you don't have the manual (can find it online), just reflow all the larger resistors, put it back carefully to prevent the display pins damage, and check again. If two clusters are not working, it suggests the common 12v feed lone, take the panel out but leave the connectors attached and measure the instruments pins, you should find some voltage there. Cannot help you remotely

    I opened the cluster on my Mitsubishi Pajero Di-D 2001 to change the bulbs for LEDs and the speedometer stop working and I have no idea of what is the problem.

      Check out a video I posted few days ago about LED modification. I mentioned about the computer module and the connector that you need to be aware of. Remove the module 5 screws and check that connector again. Or maybe you dismantled the white module and now the LCD is not seated properly

      All the lights in the car are made for 12volts

      Maybe check the bulbs, or the flat flexible cable. Carefully pull it out of the connector and re-insert, do not force or bend it. Could clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol
