@@urbanaus5752 Yeah do some more city riding. Get's me amped up for this. I've ridden in Asia in worse but that was a long time ago so I'm pretty nervous bout riding on the road. A bunch of cyclist have been hit by cars during the pandemic. Some killed in America. I intend to ride on the footpath outside the CBD I know the law is never enforced.
Bicycle riders can perform a hook turn at any intersection unless signed otherwise. Here's a video explainer from RACV. th-cam.com/video/eQGWUgoJA0Y/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=RACV
Love your videos, it's very relaxing. You should do Dandenong Creek Trail and Eastlink Trail, those are pretty nice. Just wanted to ask a few questions: Do you have any Strava data? And what bike do you use? Thanks :)
More protected lanes are on the way. The City of Melbourne recently endorsed a transport strategy that includes a large protected bicycle network (page 116 > www.melbourne.vic.gov.au/SiteCollectionDocuments/transport-strategy-2030-city-of-melbourne.pdf). And on 18 Feb 2020, Council will vote on a proposal to fast track parts of that network (see agenda here > twitter.com/MelbourneWay/status/1228135985017311232).
That was fantastic. So pleased to see bits of Melbourne never seen before.
Glad you're enjoying these videos 😁

So so nice cycling past people stuck stationary in their cars. And weather dependent a more enjoyable way to commute.

Yes, helmets are mandatory (unfortunately, in my opinion).

My very first video. th-cam.com/video/mtNehrCoufg/w-d-xo.html
Why do they never put the bike paths on the left of car parking? It's such a simple solution that would make cycling so much safer and more appealing.
